The room was exceptional was clean and comfortable the staff were polite I would stay there again

The garden and seating area could do with a good clean and make it more presentable as it was very messy and the cushions were not settable also I had to call the staff to remove a guy from the back of the garden area people from the street come in from the garage entrance which I found to be unsafe for the people that stay at the hotel even though one of the staff removed the guy from the premises other than that the hotel is lovely

Fab historical hotel located in the centre of Bournemouth. Staff were friendly and professional. Our room was spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend.

Only downside was the floorboards in our room were very creaky, but the hotel is from the 1840s so it is to be expected and would not put me off staying again.

The staff were outstanding and everyone we spoke to went out of their way to help us with any requests we had and were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean. My room was lovely. The food was adequate. The entertainment was very good although a little loud.

The hotel was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint and a freshen up. If you're looking for modern you won't find it here. It was very comfortable though but at times there weren't enough staff so that the staff that were there had an awful lot to do. We felt the food was adequate but nothing exceptional. The hotel is clearly there for coach holidays and the food reflected the limited choice to accommodate the price for a coach holiday. That being said, a 3 course meal for £20 was very reasonable.

Room as we were upgraded after being told we had booked an accessible room with walk in shower only to find it was a bath with shower and without hesitation they transferred us to a large room with both bath and walk in shower.

The fact that we booked with yourselves a room for two people and somehow only I was booked in and therefore embarrassingly we had only paid for one breakfast and ofcourse I immediately paid for my husband. I can only think that your booking system must be unclear when booking a double room that it only says one person when perhaps the question should be asked. I have never had that happen before when booking a double room with booking. com

The check in time is quite late in the afternoon, this has a Impact on using the swimming and facilities as you can’t really start pulling out swim suit and items for swimming to make use of facilities whist the rooms are ready, and since you check out the next morning after breakfast it’s just a shame that because of the late check in that it wastes previous time staying here. Most hotel check ins are at 2- max 3pm and at the Norfolk it’s very late indeed The hotel staff are friendly and helpful here and do their best to assist. It would be nice to have some board games available in the lounge area and perhaps some entertainment in the evening ?. It’s nice that cooked breakfast is available with a vegetarian option and breakfast is cooked to order. There’s no background lounge music in the communal areas and the decor is very traditional, it requires a modern decor to attract new clients. This hotel is close to local bus station and town centre where there are a lot of pubs and restaurants with the cinema near by, it’s also 10-15 walk to the beach. It would be nice for welcome drink at the reception such as flavoured water - lemons or tangerine in a glass dispenser and fruit / biscuits, which is a nice way to give customers a welcome refreshment. Iv seen this at many hotels. It’s a fairly simple but good hotel for the price, although it just needs some perks to give it a better atmosphere.

Close to the beach, easy to find, good breakfast

Little disappointed with the pool, was told it had to be booked and no more than 6 in the pool, there was 10 of us so the receptionist said as one family 7/ 8 of us could go in, we booked for 5pm as no one else had booked that slot, when we got there 8 other people were in there, they did not get out, then after about 15 minutes, 4 got out, then another 2 people came in, I mentioned this to a guy at reception, he said 10 could be in there, but was not bothered when I explained that we had all wanted to go in but was told no and yet there was now 13 in there! So why were other people allowed to book at our time? I felt they had not booked, so this should be explained to everyone upon check in and large enough sign at the pool stating this.

Stayed 1 night. Room lovely and quite to sleep in and spacious. We did get a last minute booking and had a superior suit on a reduced rate so value for money was great. There was a swimming pool put we did not use this. Bathroom had a shower and bath so spoilt for choice. There was a singer in the lounge and eve though we were on the 1st floor this did not disturb us, hence the quite and lively boxes ticked. Break fast had all can eat self serve cold foods and toast and then a choice from the menu for hot breakfast. So plenty to eat. Great stay and would recommend.

No complaints

A great location in the heart of the city centre, with a car park which we pre-booked. Ideal for anyone staying to see the Christmas market. Large, comfortable, well serviced rooms and friendly staff. The hotel had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. There is a comfortable lounge area with a hotel bar offering very reasonably priced drinks - perfect to relax in pre- or post-dinner. Miguel was such great fun and completely made our hotel drinks evening! Bournemouth offers plenty of restaurants a few minutes' walking distance to choose from - we ate at three great eateries: Zizzi, Lola's Restaurant (Spanish Tapas) and Kala Thai.

Breakfast was quite simple and the same menu each day.

So close to the town but quiet at the same time. Brilliant parking facilities £10 for 24 hours in a secure under ground car park. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were brilliant. Staff super friendly especially the young lad working on Friday afternoon into evening. Room clean, shower in room good. Room was supplied with everything you need, iron, fan, fridge, shower gel and shampoo. Will definitely stay again… can’t wait!

Unfortunately I came up with a rash from the bedding, so I’m guessing it’s from the washing powder. Bed was uncomfortable and room was very warm.
