I stayed 7 nights at this excellent private hotel close to and overlooking Bournemouth town centre. When I booked I had asked for a room that was as quiet as possible. Lena Dolphin sent me a nice email saying that they had allocated room 9 which was a very quiet room. And indeed it was. It was a very comfortable room with private bathroom, a refrigerator, tea-and-coffee making facilities and - best of all for me - a desk. I was greeted and farewelled by Miles Dolphin who seemed a very pleasant man.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Great, helpful hosts, a big, well furnished room, comfortable bed, private bathroom, cleaned daily, lots of plugs for gadgets, huge windows to light up the room, big radiator to warm it up, TV with lots of channels, the only downside was there was someone in the upstairs room above me running around in circles at 930pm for awhile but they must have got tired and fallen asleep as it stopped after 30 mins. They must have thin ceilings so I'm going to ask for the top floor next time. This is not the fault of the hosts but of that particular resident who needs to learn how to behave and not take drugs on holiday. It is close to the city centre and the beach isn't too far away. I will definitely stay here again soon and it is highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

An excellent hotel. Miles and Elena were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely, very hot and a generous portion. The room was clean and tidy with all the facilities you would want in the room. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a prime location just a ten minute walk to the beach and five minute walk in to city centre. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for an excellent visit.

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

EVERYTHING! From the minute of booking I had enquired about parking and got a response straight away, Upon mine & my daughters arrival Lena & Miles welcomed us with open arms, from standing outside as we arrived helping me park my car on their drive as close as possible to greeting us with warm heart felt welcoming signing in. Literally felt the home to home connection I booked my next visit with out even checking our room out 1st. Lena has the motherly atmosphere around her so much that when I woke up early hours the following morning with a raging ear ache I rung the buzzer & asked if she had any pain killers, Lena straight away went downstairs and soon reappeared with 2 types alongside her advice of nearest medical place being Good Friday which was so helpful. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't of been able to leave the room and break the promise of taking my daughter to the beach. Miles was so welcoming he helped us in with our luggage aswell as helping my daughter out with hers on our departure. We had a conversation outside the front for ages which it felt like we had been friends for years! Not just met and put us up as guests. I've been travelling down to Bournemouth since January and stayed in other hotels and felt uneasy and uncomfortable but Dolphin Hotel completely the opposite! I highly reccomend Dolphins hotel and the owners Lena & Miles with out a doubt Looking forward to my return next week

Host was awesome, room was very spacious and adequately equipped. Location was perfect.

I'm more Goldilocks than Goldilocks when it comes to beds, so it's probably just me, but I did spend the entire night feeling like the mattress on the single bed was trying to roll me off one side or the other. My fault though, if I'd splashed out a bit more for a double I'm sure it would've been all good. And if I need an overnight in Bournemouth again, I'd look to book a room at Dolphins.

I could not have asked for more welcoming hosts. From the moment I arrived until I left I was well looked after. The way to the beach and town was explained to me which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast each morning was cooked fresh and certainly set me up well for the day ahead. This was a very pleasant stay. Being able to park at the door was a bonus.

There was nothing I did not like.

Liked how clean the room was also the bathroom was spotless. We had a really nice stay here, everything was perfect. Felt a bit cold on the evenings , just asked at reception and was given a electric heater and also a extra duvet which was perfect. Everything was local, shops, bars, restaurants. Walking distance.

Only down side for myself was walking back up to the hotel as from every side it was uphill and with a bad knee was not a good idea. Ended up getting quiet a few ubers back up.

Met at the door with the friendly host Miles who carried my bag upstairs. Comfy single room. Never a problem whatever I asked for e.g. to borrow a hairdryer, the best walking route to the pavilion. Cooked breakfast was one of the best !!

No complaints. Client next door playing music at half 3 in the morning - but not the fault of the hotel. I tapped on his door and he stopped. Shame it rained all day Thursday - but again, not the fault of the hotel

Lovely place, the two people who run it were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was very convenient to be able to park right in front of the property. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower very space and with unlimited warm water! Great location, close to shops and the beach. Would stay again!

Everything was great! We would have appreciated a non-dairy option for the tea/coffee in the room.

This is the second time we have visited and Dolphins Hotel is clean, affordable and comfortable. We like the hosts who are very helpful and accommodating.

Parking was probably best described as being “competitive” because the accommodation was so popular for the weekend we visited. There was also a bit of street noise. However, overall, we were really impressed.
