This may be one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in as of late. The decor was very attractive and the beds were very comfortable. The room service from the Grill downstairs was outstanding, the food was wonderful, and in my opinion, a good value. The staff went out of their way to be very welcoming.

I was placed on a wing where construction was actively ongoing. The sign in the lobby stated that construction would only happen between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM, however, on day one the construction began earlier and on day two it ran much later.

The breakfast location was fine—right off the main dining room and lobby. I’d give the food selection a 7/10 rating, meaning I’ve seen better but more often worse when it comes to hotel breakfasts. The room was very clean, as was the whole building. The staff was outstanding—kind, pleasant, eager to please and very helpful.

Coffee at breakfast tasted a bit burnt and the food selection was limited. Dinner, however, was excellent. As for the room and the interior of the building, both could use some love. There are many places throughout where wallpaper is torn or gouged. My bathroom didn’t have a towel rack. There was one hook on the very narrow wall next to the shower/tub which could have held maybe one towel. But the hook was loose and couldn’t handle any weight. No towel hooks or racks were near the sink. The toilet paper holder was nearly falling off the wall. I had to put the roll of TP on the back of the toilet. The ceiling in my room had a linear series of cracks around its perimeter. But the exterior of the building and the grounds were very nice, and the location was perfect for my needs.

The Front Desk Manager was SO incredibly accommodating and understanding! My best friend and I arrived at the location at 1:55pm, even though check in wasn't until 4pm, because we drove straight there after having to check out from another hotel in Greensboro. We were both miserably sick and utterly EXHAUSTED, as we both had severe bronchitis and horrible head colds. Without hesitation, she let us check in 3 hours early, at no additional charge- just so we could get into our room and collapse! 🙏❤️🥹 I've never experienced an accommodation that significant and it was so truly appreciated! The room was clean, the beds and pillows were SO incredibly comfortable (which I can rarely say, because I'm permanently disabled and have multiple severe degenerative spinal injuries; as well as multiple other widespread health issues and diagnoses that cause nonstop chronic pain throughout my body). The free hot breakfast buffet and Starbucks coffee were great, and the bar in the on site restaurant had some great cocktails. Would have loved to have been able to try their specialty BBQ menu, but we were both too sick to try it. The room rate was extremely reasonable for a Hilton Hotel, and I loved that the standard check out time was 12pm, vs. 11am everywhere else!

The only reason I didn't give a perfect score of 10 is because even though the room had a mini fridge, it didn't have a microwave, which I've never seen before. We had some lighter comfort food delivered, and in order to reheat our dinner, we had to go all the way down to the guest pantry next to the front desk and use the microwave there...which was really inconvenient- especially since we were both sick. The cocktails were delicious, but very pricy- especially since they were served in a rocks glass that was literally FULL TO THE TOP with ice. Not worth $15.00 each, plus a $2.00 tip per drink.

That you can’t do late check out. And the lack of communication between staff. I had asked the front desk for late check out at 2 or 3 and she said the best she could do was 1. So I asked for that and she put it down. Then at 11 room service came and told me it was time to check out. I left by 12 because I felt rushed and returned my key to the front desk, then at 12:54 I received a call saying that I had not checked out and that I needed to leave.

Stayed here as a “halfway point” to another destination so we were only here to sleep and continue on our way. Great property. Clean, comfortable, quiet in room, all the expected amenities. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have had. Really. Staff extremely helpful, kind and professional. Location was great for us in terms of being right off the freeway and close to a Costco for cheapest possible refueling before we hit the road again. We spent no time in Durham so can’t comment on location relative to sites or areas of the city. But for us it was perfect.

The hotel is very clean & comfortable. The staff are professional yet personable. Immaculate and Angel were extremely helpful upon check in. The wait staff and housekeepers are incredibly nice.

The breakfast (although good) is outrageously priced as are the entrees for dinner. The bartenders are not knowledgeable about routine cocktails, and the bar is consistently out of draft beers & could not offer an advertised special. The elevator is quite a distance from any parking areas (front, pool side or back).

Lynette at check-in set the tone for a wonderful stay! I observed Lynette, Karen & all of the front desk staff go the mile & extra, taking care of the guests as well as the hotel. Housekeeping, restaurant/bar & maintenance were woven into the well established system of providing excellent service to the guests. I didn't want to leave!

Breakfast was overpriced ate at the Cracker Barell next door and was a great breakfast for half the cost. Hilton could at least provide coffee 24/7 room supply limited , bottled water 3.00 Smaller at 1 or 2 dollars would be better.

We were greeted by the most delightful and professional staff member I have ever encounter while staying at a Hilton. I think her name was Adrienne. She welcomed by daughter and I like we were visiting friends. There was a noisy party going on behind her and when I asked if she was tired of the commotion she was professional and said she was glad they were having a good time. The elevator was also broken so she immediately called maintenance and made sure that we safely arrived to our room on the 6th floor. Adrienne from the Hilton Durham represents your company very, very well!

Nice welcoming lobby, friendly staff, nice and clean. No foul odors in hotel, in the halls, or in the rooms. This alone was very nice for me.

I thought the breakfast bar could have been improved, however, the people working there were friendly and professional. Perhaps more individual yogurt selections, dry cereal choices, pastries and/or granola bars to choose would have been nice.
