Everything. Perfect service, food and perfect room. It was much better then we expected. We totally recommend. Very well located in the middle of the fort. You can visit everything by foot in few minutes. A great breakfast, western and sri lankan as you wish. A very confortable room with very nice bed, perfectly cleaned and hot water. Good wifi. Free water if needed. A nice small hotel where you will feel welcomed and could relax. Thank you to all the team.

Beautiful historical building, large rooms, very clean and lovely friendly staff. Located in a quieter part of Galle fort but within walking distance of all the major attractions.

Yara Galle Fort is an excellent place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very comfortable. The bed is great, firm but not too hard. The breakfast is delicious and a lot of food. The place is clean and all amenities are provided in the room. We got the big king room with a separate living room. It is a lot of space. The dinner was so delicious. One of our best in Sri Lanka.

In the morning, when they are cleaning or moving furniture in the front breakfast area, it is loud in our room and it woke us up. It made sleeping in for a slow morning difficult.

The location of the hotel is perfect and easy to navigate yourself when exploring the fort. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and wanted to make sure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the hotel design is very nice.

We weren't happy with our initial room as it was on the ground floor so could hear a lot of noise from outside in the corridor, which also meant we couldn't open the blinds without feeling everyone could see in. We decided to ask for another room on a higher floor, however this room had a slight damp smell. We then asked if we could pay to upgrade our room and they provided us an upgraded room free of charge. We were very grateful and could tell they genuinely wanted to make our stay better.

We loved our 4 night stay at Yara Galle Fort. The room was generously sized with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed - as well as efficient air conditioning and an effective ceiling fan. The location was superb. Short walking distance to the wonderful ramparts of the fort - a magical place at any time of day but especially so at sunrise and sunset. It was also close to excellent restaurants, like the Ceylon Curry House. The staff were fantastic - very approachable and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

This was an outstanding boutique hotel- a block or two away from the main drag of Galle Fort, but that made it quieter. The rooms were clean and nice and the food was excellent. But what set this hotel apart from others was how helpful and kind everyone was. Everyone bent over backwards to accommodate anything you might need, from getting clothes laundered to giving us a to-go breakfast hours before their restaurant was officially open. Could not have been nicer. I would recommend the Yara Galle Fort to anyone.

A beautiful decorated boutique hotel in a good location away from the busy part of the fort but walkable all around. All the staff were very friendly and always happy to help with anything. It was good to see the hotel is making an effort to reduce the use of plastic - water bottles and toiletries. Sri Lankan breakfast was very filling and tasty.

If there was something I didn’t like, the room I was in was near the kitchen so I could hear most things also could hear the guests in the adjoining room clearly.

We chose to stay within the 'Fort ' area and were glad we did. Yara Galle Fort is located towards the top of the hill area inside the fort and is a few street away from the main action or restaurants and shops. Nothing in the fort area is far away, and it is a short walk to get to the main area ( which is a great place to wander around - particularly at night).The hotel is small and set in a traditional style building - although given how fresh and new the building is, I am guessing it has been rebuilt in a 'traditional' style. The rooms are well set up with a comfortable bed ( great linen) and couch, and all open onto an internal balcony. While I thought this might be a bit noisy - it was quite the opposite. With no real noise from the outside, and only a few rooms, we found our room ( which was one of the first rooms on the balcony) very quiet. A decent breakfast with the normal fare on offer (traditional or western). If you are visiting the area, I would definitely recommend staying within the fort. It is one of the few places we visited in Sri Lanka that has an eating/ shopping precinct, and the limited amount of vehicular traffic is great.

Small gripe and a first world problem. The shower was typical of so many in Sri Lanka and the pressure and temp were quire variable.

Beautifully decorated, friendly staff and awesome location inside the fort and near the sea. The boss Mr Lukshalyan was so kind and hospitable. We arrived quite late at 11:30pm when all the lights were out and he welcomed us with a smile. He also helped my friend out with a booking issue. Nothing was too much of a problem. All the staff were wonderful.

Minor point - it would be great if the rooms had a sea view but that’s asking too much!
