Wonderful hotel! Many thanks to the staff for their attentiveness and care, friendly people always ready to help. Breakfasts are good, there is plenty to choose from, everything is always fresh and tasty. Several times we took lunches and were also satisfied. The rooms are cozy, cleaning every day. The pool and jacuzzi are a great bonus. They provide beach towels. Several good beaches within walking distance. Excellent location, next to the railway station and bus stops. A huge hello to everyone, we will be glad to visit you again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel on Chiavari. The room had recently been refurbished it was modern and comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff were helpful and friendly offering advice about trips to surrounding areas. We had specially chosen the hotel for its location between Cinque Terre and Portofino - both easy train journeys to reach ferry departure points. Chiavari itself was still relatively quiet when we visited but you could see it had the infrastructure to welcome many more tourists. The beaches were being prepared for the season and some restaurants hadn’t opened yet. One of the highlights was the meal we had at the hotel - one of the best of our trip. Breakfast was also lovely with plenty of fresh options. We also took advantage of the hot tub which was a good way to relax.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very kind and always available for assistance. We had a lovely room with a big bathroom and balcony. The air conditioning works well. The bed was comfortable. Each balcony has a drying rack which was great for pool and beach towels. The hotel provides pool towels and a bag to use during the stay. The pool area was spacious and lovely. The restaurant was excellent. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk away, as is the sea. The area was very beautiful and we used it as a base to explore the Cinque Terre and the surrounding region.

Everything. Wonderful team who looked after us so well. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful at every stage. Everywhere was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice and never felt rushed or too busy. The restaurant served great food all day and the terrace was perfect for cocktails. We had a family room which was actually two separate rooms with a shared vestibule and bathroom which was perfect for us. Thoroughly recommend Hotel Monte Rosa.

We arrived at this lovely hotel within the beautiful town of Chiavari to find a warm, welcoming, comfortable and peaceful location to reside in for 5 nights. It had a feeling of actually living within the town whilst being able to easily access the shopping area, restaurants and sites to see. The ease of walking to places was much appreciated. The family team are very helpful and very efficient in their organisation! The exceptional breakfast and also dining, the excellent hospitality, the simple yet very sufficient rooms for our stay were a wonderful experience. We were glad to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terres area and also have train and boat access to it at the same time. All in all, a wonderful and well-appreciated holiday experience. Thank you to the team and thank you for making our holiday memorable.

The hotel staff were exceptional, from the maids to the reception staff. We had travel delays and I contacted the hotel to let them know, they were responsive and personal in making sure we could check in at 4am! We had a consistent set of restaurant staff, who treated us like VIPs, remembering our coffee preferences and going out of their way to customise the menu for the kids.The food at the hotel was some of the best I've ever had, and the breakfast buffet was definitely the best I've ever had. Location is perfect to visit the historical city of Chiavari and a great location to go to the beach or get a boat trip to other unique places on the coast (e.g portofino). We loved it so much at the hotel that instead of our planned weekend in Milan we decided to extend our stay at Monte Rosa. I can't recommend the hotel more. It was fantastic and one of the best week's away I've ever had.

There's very little to complain about but one thing that slightly put me off from booking was that I wasn't able to actually book for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids). I made a booking for 2 adults and 1 kid, on a fully refundable rate, then reached out to the hotel to ask about adding an extra child to the room. Of course this was fine, but if it was on option on booking.com I think it would help to attract more families to the hotel.

The warmth of the staff, the atmosphere of traditional family-run style Italian hotel with the quality and presentation of a high grade international hotel. The building appears old but inside enjoys all modern conveniences. We loved dinners on the big terrace - even on rainy nights- and breakfast was well- presented on a different floor - and delicious with an excellent choice including cooked breakfast. We swam in the swimming pool in the rain and even that was enjoyable so on a good day I’m sure it would be lovely. Overall we loved our stay and loved our big, comfortable room, impeccably clean with a really good bed. And apart from all this the hotel is well located for the town.

Hotel is situated in the old quarter and has every facility. We were upgraded to a gorgeous room. Breakfast and it's choices were amazing. I have to say all the staff were friendly, always happy with big smiles and made you feel special. A special shout out to Francesca on reception. A lovely lady who went above and beyond for us in many ways. A wonderful hotel and would definitely return.

The room itself is small with old furniture but the room was cleaned and provided with coffee, tea and a garnished fridge, the bathroom is equipped with various items, the bed is ok.

Staff was very friendly and provided us with great guidance. One of the 2 rooms (for 3 people) had been refurbished recently (notably the bathroom) and was pretty large. The car park comes as an extra but is extremely helpful so think about booking ahead of your stay.

The 2nd room was looking a bit old and was facing the street where we had the trash being collected multiple times during the night (1 truck per garbage type). The hotel is relatively expensive as well
