Beautiful pool and small garden. Good to get away from the crowds of the city and Fort area. Free tuktuk into town is great and it’s easy to get one from the Fort area to return. Lovely rooms - pick the ones that look onto the pool for out side seating. Nice cafe area for breakfast.breakfast is good and freshly cooked. Order the night before. Attractive lounging areas in the airy reception/cafe area, though these seemed underused while we were there. Lovely staff who were helpful. If you want small independent stylish hotel away from crowds - this place is great.

Nothing really. They can cook you food for your room in the evening but there is no dinner served.

Rooms were quirky! It made the stay feel like it was fun. Good breakfast as well. Pool area was quiet and great place to cool off. Free tuk tuk was also a great bonus of the stay.

I think the sell on booking.com implies it has more to offer than it does. I asked for a beer and it was ordered in… arrived warm! Doesn’t appear to be a bar on site. We stayed in one of the rooms upstairs and the bathroom flooded. They obviously have a drainage issue and while the staff were quick to resolve, they didn’t fix the issue, instead just cleaned it up.

The property was lovely, a little quirky, with character. the pool was lovely and the gardens were well kept. The staff were exceptional, they really couldn’t do enough to help and the breakfast was outstanding, the best I had in my 12 days in Sri Lanka. The bed was clean and comfy and the air conditioning was very welcome. Staff arranged my airport transfer and provided 2 tuk tuk rides each day to Galle, which is a lovely town with lots of good restaurants.

The general decor around the property could probably do with a touch up but this didn’t affect my stay. The description states that there is a beach nearby but on arrival I was told that you couldn’t swim in it as it was too rough. I simply got a tuk tuk to Unawatuna ( 10 mins away) so no drama.

Small quite basic but friendly hotel with a cute little pool surrounded by greenery. Lots of birds singing. Even saw monkeys in the trees! Nice touch with the themed headboards Good breakfast served in a nice open air dining area (we had fruit, omelette, toast and yoghurt)..

Just the bathroom. In our room (ground floor by the pool) was very tired. New sink and toilet but around them were still cracks and a bit of mould. the shower had mould. Towels were thin, not very white and frayed. Had the bathroom and towels be better i would have rated it 9

It was clean and well maintained. It was close to Galle fort and clean rooms with friendly staff. Staff were accommodating they made us a meal at night even they said kitchen was closed.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, Specially the mains. Happy to pay a bit extra for a good breakfast. ( Omelette was over done and the sausages should be better )There was lots of mosquitoes outside near the pool but inside the rooms there were no mosquitoes which was good.

We were only visiting Galle for one day on our way back to the airport and we are so glad we chose 18 Faces. The hotel itself is family run, very friendly and with great facilities. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The swimming pool was an absolute bonus, especially in the heat, and we were so glad we could spend the afternoon chilling by it. We were a little worried about not being central in Galle Fort, but the team at 18 Faces are really helpful, providing a free tuk tuk ride into Galle Fort which enabled us to travel and see the area that day.

There was nothing we didn't like!

We loved our room with the balcony facing the pool. We can see different birds and some monkeys moving around the trees and vines early morning and at dusk. The whole pool area looks like a jungle with vines hanging over the fence, lovely. Breakfast and dinner was very good. There were many options for breakfast, not so much for dinner. However, the quality of the food made up for the lack of options for dinner. Quantity was generous as well. Although we did not use the pool at all, it provided a very tranquil atmosphere, especially at night when the lights were on. The staff kept the pool meticulously clean, scooping up debris from the many plants in the area. Well done.

The staff were very helpful! The place was clean and the breakfast was amazing! The room was also very comfortable.

It was a little far away from all the happening places in Galle. But they provide a free tuktuk ride to the galle fort to compensate for the distance. The trip to Galle fort from the hotel via tuktuk takes about 10-15 minutes.

What a wonderful place to stay, the bedroom was so comfy and we had a little balcony looking over the pool and into the trees. The staff were absolutely lovely. The location was good about 5 minute tuktuk drive to the fort and if not 20 minute walk away.

I feel like the breakfast could have been a little bit more, a little bit minimal, but was still lovely

18 Faces had a very laid-back feel and was in a quiet location, just a short walk to the beach (200m). The room was big and well equipped, and the bed was very large and comfortable, and the shower was great. The room also had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and deck area. The pool area and deck area were lovely with shady areas. There was a nice breakfast each morning with a big choice. The tuk tuk ride to town was very handy. The staff were lovely and made a surprise gesture because it was our birthday. We would definitely stay again.
