Spectacular harbor views from every room with a nice balcony. It is in a quiet area away from the bustle of Bar Harbor, but still close by. The room was quite large with plenty of space and very clean. Ample parking was available for free. Easy access to Acadia and local sites. A nice breakfast is included which is a plus. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. During the tourist season, check the cruise schedule for BH to try to avoid larger crowds in town and at Acadia.

Everything about our stay was great. The staff were wonderful and friendly, everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. They made you feel welcomed and valued. Our room and the entire Lodge was clean and very welcoming. I think my favorite moment was stepping into our room for the first time and seeing the breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean right from the door! Overall, everything about Atlantic Eyrie Lodge was great, from the daily warm and fresh breakfast to the clean and well-maintained pool. The pool certainly was a great place to start and/or finish our day. We even got to watch a few deer right below us. The shuttle service was also great, it made getting around Bar Harbor quick and easy. I would not hesitate to come back for another stay at the Atlantic Eyrie Lodge and have already told some family and friends.

Great location with wonderful view of the Fisherman Bay. The hotel had nice balcony we were able to sit on. The kids enjoyed the outside pool even though it was not super-hot outside, the water was decent temperature. Breakfast was decent: eggs, bacon, hash browns (bit on dry side), but great fresh and still warm selection of muffins. The front staff was helpful and providing information on shuttle and local area.
Maybe newer carpets, they were clean just bit outdated not a deal breaker by any means. Maybe game room for kids with board games or ping pong table/air hockey would be nice for cloudy rainy days.

We liked everything about this pretty hotel. The location is perfect and the setting is serene. The staff were so helpful, accomodating and friendly(tips on where to eat, excursions to take, etc.). The freshly baked cookies every late afternoon were scrumptious (peanut butter, ginger, etc.) as well as the delicious breakfast every morning(freshly baked muffins - blueberry & orange-cranberry, pistachio), hot scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausage, French toast fingers, yogurt, cereal, fruit cups, delicious coffee, variety of juices, etc.. It really was a wonderful breakfast, and the manager & staff were on top of everything- they should be recognized for their conscientious, hardworking efforts. The saltwater pool felt so refreshing on the days we were there as Maine set records for some of the hottest weather they've ever had...90s & high humidity!! The Island Shuttle(L.L.Bean partner) was such a help during the heatwave. We walked extensively, however, it was a treat to get in the FREE shuttle to return to the hotel from town after being hot and tired. We will definitely return here!

We had a room with an ocean view, which was very nice. It had a pullout couch so that the kids didn't have to share a bed. We didn't have enough time to try it, but the pool looked great. The pool closed at 8, which meant no late-night noise and a nice quiet evening. The free Island Explorer shuttle stops right at the hotel front door and takes you to the town square. From there, you can catch another route to Acadia National Park. It was very convenient and the shuttle staff are super friendly and helpful. Another thing that was great about this hotel was that it was quiet.
The beds could be better, but they were okay. What we really would have liked was more than one washer and dryer. We weren't able to do laundry as we had planned.

PROS: Views were top tier. Every room but the mountainside rooms had a balcony that gave you sunrise views of the bay. The pool was well maintained and the outdoor space was pleasant to sit and eat breakfast. The location was amazing. We were able to take breaks between activities in the park and in town, and the free town shuttle pulls right up to the hotel. The staff was also super helpful.
CONS: Breakfast was below standards, even for free hotel breakfast. They do not offer daily room cleaning, only on the 4th day on request, so if that's a deal breaker you may need to reconsider. There is stair access to all floors but if you have small children or mobility issues it can feel like a bit of a walk to the one central elevator or to reach the parking levels. Our stay in room 212 was manageable for our 2 year old since it was only one flight of stairs down and a short walk to the elevator.

The location was perfect, the hotel was very comfortable and cleaned. The 2nd morning Ms. Charmarie was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very good both morning. It was warm and a great variety of foods.
The 3rd shift staff on 10/10 midnight was awful. I don't have her name but she was not friendly at all. We called ahead because my reservation was from 10/9-10/11 but I knew we were getting there very late. When we got the there around midnight, she was not at the counter, when she entered she didn't have shoes, was rude and VERY UNFRIENDLY. We were to tired from the day before so we just wanted to get to my room, We were glad we didn't encounter her the rest of out stay.

I liked the room size and the view of the ocean. The room was clean and beds were comfortable with extra pillows. I liked that even though the building was of an older design, everything was new and redone. it was cool seeing the small glimpses of the older style hotel rooms like ceiling fixtures in the rooms, the marble steps in the doorways, and the small windows in the bathrooms, because they gave it a nostalgic touch since it was updated so successfully. Liked the cookies in the lobby in the afternoon, and the warm pool. Close to both Acadia entrance and downtown, and the town shuttle has a stop at the hotel.
The breakfast hot items were not as warm or fresh as other hotels, but it is a free breakfast. If you want excellence you should expect to pay for it. There is only one elevator, and when it is busy expect a longer wait, or use the old style outside stairs to the building. Neither item should be a show stopper from booking the place.

I was excited to stay in this property with the hope to get a good view of the ocean and sunrise. We did have a view of the ocean but the sunrise was obstructed because we were at the end of the hotel. The rooms though were spacious, comfortable, clean, and better than I expected. Breakfast had good options. There was ample parking and there is the Island Explorer Bus that can pick you up from the hotel to get to Acadia National Park.
Wish I knew to request for a room with a better view -- but we also got the last room that was available so I think we got lucky on a busy fall weekend.

Easy access to downtown, with a nice wide sidewalk to walk to and from, for those so inclined. Room was comfortable, staff was great. Breakfast area and food was very good and included both indoor and Outdoor seating. Great main floor outdoor seating for enjoying coffee anytime or catching up on the phone.
Pricey for a non-glam hotel, but maybe that’s just the new normal. No daily room Servicing (also seems to be the new normal), but fresh towels could be requested daily.
