Lovely location, and welcoming, helpful staff Room was clean and well appointed. A bit tricky to get from the room from reception but we mastered it quickly. We didn't try the spa facilities as we were staying for a wedding nearby Appreciated the fresh milk and filtered water on tap nearby our room. So much nicer than the little heat treated tubs usually available. Overall would recommend.

Breakfast was expensive for what it was, not 'fit for a king' as advertised. We think the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working during our stay in room 214. The bathroom floor was lethal due to condensation after a shower. We did report it on checking out Rather surprised that there wasn't a room safe for our valuables.

The staff were warm and welcoming upon arrival, making check-in smooth and stress-free. My room was spacious, clean, with a cozy bed and. The little touches like fresh robes, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked hospitality tray added to the overall comfort. The white company toiletries were lovely too. Breakfast was beautiful! Lots of choice and very fresh products. The older gentleman working in the kitchen (unsure of his name) couldn’t do enough for the guests! He wanted everything to be perfect. The spa facilities at Cottons are excellent. I especially enjoyed the thermal suite, with its sauna, steam room, and hot tub. The outdoor hot tub was a lovely treat in the sun too! The pool area was spotless and never felt overcrowded. Drinks were able to be ordered for around the pool which was a great touch! I booked a full-body massage, and the therapist Carol was not only professional but also attentive to my preferences, making it one of the most relaxing treatments I’ve had. She made me feel so welcoming and comfortable, I felt like I’d know her my whole life!! She was such a lovely lady and I will definitely be returning for a massage again off carol!. The young lady in the spa area jade was very good at helping me choose the right spa products for me to purchase. She even gave me a few little moisturiser samples which was so kind. Thank you cottons hotel! Me and my husband had a brilliant Anniversary overnight stay with you! The added touch of desert slate “happy anniversary” in the room on arrival was very much appreciated. These little things make such a big difference!

We was placed in a room around wedding guests who were noisy until around 2am.

Lovely hotel in a great location for Knutsford town centre and a wedding we were attending locally however the room was a little disappointing for the money. No plug sockets near a mirror which was a pain when getting ready for a wedding!! However the pool and outdoor hot tub in the health club was beautiful! Nice complimentary toiletries, bed was quite soft so not the comfiest but could be personal preference.

Soft mattress, room a bit dated and no mirror at dressing table.... Also weird we had to walk through the restaurant to get to and from our bedroom...?!

The staff are polite and very friendly. The location is perfect for us as we visit family and friends in Cheshire and North Wales.

Reported leaking shower cubicle several times. But not resolved during our stay. We kept flooding the bathroom. There was a trainee receptionist whose English was so poor in an emergency it would be a safety concern. For example - I rang down as there were no spa robes in our room. Despite trying 3 times to explain the best response she could offer was ‘you need the route to the spa?’ Every one has to start somewhere but as she also checked us in and didn’t understand our discussion (or the previous guests) I would suggest a less front facing role until her language skills improve. I work with a very diverse group of colleagues so this is not coming from a discriminatory place but safety would be a genuine worry.

Good quality products, the milk machine was excellent idea and staff were very nice indeed. Good tea selection. Comfy bed and pillows but staff probably a bit rushed in making it.

The finish in the bathroom was shabby. Poor grouting and poor patch up work in shower especially, and the TV didnt work. Towels seemed 'well used' - but it is a hotel, I appreciate that. On arrival, corridor had numerous champagne and whisky bottles, glasses and used 'room service' crockery. Was a Sunday so perhaps reduced staff, but a bad first impression that was a little like the film 'Hangover' in the corridors!

A little bit of empathy from Booking.com regarding the fact that a 2 night stay had to be cut down to a 1 night stay due to the fact my wife had contracted a virus and as a precaution( not wanting to pass said virus on to anyone) we decided to check out and go home. Speaking to the reception at checkout, they said they would, with agreement with booking.com, allow the second night to be taken at a later date but from the last email I received from booking.com you would not sanction the refund. So in all not at all happy. Perhaps I will get better treatment if I booked direct with Cottons Hotel and Spa instead of booking through Booking.com.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The breakfast was good—fresh and tasty—but could benefit from a bit more variety. I didn’t make it to the spa, but the pool and hot tub were excellent and immaculately maintained. The towels were fresh and clean, and the showers were spotless and comfortable. I’d recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and amenities, though a few tweaks to the breakfast would make it even better

Overall, everything was good however, the breakfast toast wasn’t very good and there were no boiled eggs available .

We loved our stay at the hotel and made use of the beautiful Spa facilities. The staff members in the spa were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The treatment I had with Carol was amazing.

We had breakfast included in our stay which good for me, however very limited for my daughter who is vegan. It also meant we ate lunch and dinner out with the hotel because of the limited (practically non existent) options available for my daughter. I would have expected a hotel of the calibre and maturity to have been better able to cater.

Breakfast was lovely, however, we believe as a party did prefer the last time we stayed with waiter breakfast orders than the buffet. The food was lovely but not as hot as previous stays and the personal service at the breakfast table made the experience so much lovelier than a buffet help yourself service. That been said it wouldn't stop me booking again but that waitress/waiter service was just so special and made the breakfast experience so much more special. Cottons is a lovely hotel so clean and comfortable but the old style service you offered made our stay so much nicer in previous visits... a bit of luxury and personal service is something we all love on special occasions. Absolutely love the white company products, dressing gowns, slippers mini fridge and kettle plus lovely coffee and tea etc selections in the bedrooms plus the fresh milk bar/dispenser on every floor ( I hate those horrid pots of fake milk we have to endure in most hotels) please can you return that lovely waiter service at the breakfast table it makes the stay at cottons stand out and absolutely gave it the edge. I would also advise your residence bar did not close at midnight. That's early for a hotel we had been to a wedding and returned just after midnight when your bar shuts... that's far to early for a hotel we had been to an event close by and wanted a night cap..your missing a trick there cottons ! Bar sales equals lots of money ! We were served a drink as some people made it back before midnight and pit the order in.

There was nothing I didn't like but if I could just mention that I had no clue there was tea and coffee facilities in my room until minutes before I left, my husband (being nosey) opened a drawer that turned out to be a cupboard with a kettle and cups etc..it would have been nice to know this facility was there, maybe a little sign or note of information 😊
