We had the most incredible few days here and was one of the best accommodations I’ve ever stayed in. Riccardo and Patricia were the loveliest people who made us feel so welcome and looked after anything we needed. We will miss them greatly! Rooms were beautiful with lots of privacy, breakfast was delicious, pool was always clean and it was in a perfect location too. It felt like a quiet oasis right next to the city centre. We will definitely be returning here again next time we come to sintra :)

I couldn’t fault a single thing, we loved it all!

We really loved the place: a very beautiful, well-kept territory, clean, cozy, and very homely. It felt like we weren’t staying in a hotel, but visiting friends at their country house! Patrícia is an incredibly pleasant and hospitable hostess, and she made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was wonderful, again, it felt like being at home rather than in a hotel. A big thank to Patrícia for our wonderful time in Sintra! ❤️

As for minor drawbacks: since it's winter now, the room was quite chilly, especially the bathroom. But there’s a good heater, which solves the problem. Also, the bed seemed a bit narrow and not very comfortable to me, but I have trouble sleeping, and it’s generally hard for me to sleep away from home. Still, this didn’t spoil the impression of our wonderful trip!

It’s a stunning house, beautifully furnished and clean. Great facilities, a common room area to use and we loved the pool area. We were worried, having 2 older children, that they might ruin the ambiance of the poolside, but they were very welcomed and had a fab time. Our room was bright with a massive bathroom, and the boys room (bunkbeds) was perfectly fine for them. We were introduced to Pepi the parrot, who whistled in appreciation at the guests, especially me!!! And Nina, the 3 legged cat, has my heart! Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh fruit, cereal, fresh bread, cake, cheese and meats. Patricia and Ricardo work really hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay with them. Lots of great stories and tips for things to do and places to eat locally, and further afield. Thanks guys :)

The countryside location brings tranquility, but it also means you can not really walk to the nearest town/restaurants (our eldest son is disabled). But Ubers are cheap, so it caused no problems for us.

Patricia and Ricardo have given to us a warm welcome, an excellent bottle of rosé and home made cake to feel just like at home. Our Superior Room was furnished high quality and with a lot of taste. The bathroom was perfectly clean and high standard. We did appreciate the calm and comfort of the area (swimming pool in the garden), the excellent breakfast with home made and healthy products (every morning fresh fruits,…) Ricardo has a lot of humour and the hosts give You all support you need to have a great stay at Sintra. We can highly recommend this location with an excellent level of price/quality. We are looking forward to come back. Thanks to Patricia & Ricardo.

The Quintas location is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and serene water bodies, it provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. The views from the living room were stunning, overlooking the pool and the garden during breakfast creating an idyllic setting for relaxation. The breakfast was lovely and homey, there's everything one needs. Fresh fruits, juices and cake every item was delicious. The service at the Quinta was impeccable. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly attentive and friendly, always eager to assist with a genuine smile. Check-in was smooth, throughout our stay, we felt supported and attended to at any time. Thank you so much for this lovely serene stay.

Everything was perfect!

My recent stay at Quinta do pe Descalco was nothing short of exceptional, we booked 2 rooms one for me and my partner and one for my Mom, we got married in Sintra so we wanted a place calm and serene away from home. Patricia her husband and all the staff were exceptional in making us feel comfortable before the wedding preparation afterwards, they gifted us a lovely rose bottle to celebrate, left us some snacks from breakfast the next day as we slept in late, accommodated our needs and request it felt like being in a relative home. They speak so many languages, and communication flows easily, my wedding necklace fell in the sink and they called someone to help take it out, it was super helpful, I remember the time spent at the Quinta fondly, it was such a peaceful time, the surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely pool so much greenery and a lovely garden, you won't regret staying there.

We were greeted by the lovely couple, Patricia and Ricardo who own the property. They were very friendly, approachable and helpful. It was very useful to have someone who can recommend places to visit, and most importantly eat! We visited Sintra, explored the coast line and Nazare, and went to Lisbon, we loved every day and the food was always good!! And all within half an hours drive. We rented a car that we collected from the airport, we would have had to rely on ubers otherwise, so glad we did. Patricia and Ricardo provide a very lovely breakfast every morning and we enjoyed our chats before heading out. The room was spotless and very, very, comfortable. Thank you so much both, we will be back x

Would be nice to have coffee making facilities in the room, but was not a biggy, my fiance (we got engaged whilst there :) went to the kitchen every morning to get some. It is only across from the room.

The owners and the property!!! Patricia and Ricardo were exceptional hosts. Helped us so much by giving us tips on local restaurants and things to do and see. They also prepared wonderful breakfasts everyday with the best fresh squeezed orange juice. Rooms were very clean and spacious, as was the entire property. Plenty of space to relax inside or outside by the pool.

Lovely and clean quinta for a relaxed stay nearby Lisbon without massas of people. We stayed here with our family of five and really enjoyed the surroundings. Very kind and thoughtful hosts.

Maybe a small fridge in the room for cold water. On the other hand you could take water and cold drinks out of te fridge in the shared breakfast room.

The Quinta is located in a small and quiet forest on the outskirts of town, but still within walking distance to some restaurants in the centre. It's a tranquil guesthouse, where you can enjoy the swimming pool and common living room indoors. The site offers private parking, behind the gate. We had a spacious room, with a good double bed and view into the backyard. The hosts were good in communicating prior to arrival and very friendly at checkin and during our stay. Each morning a good continental breakfast is served. We got some good recommendations for visiting Lisbon and the Sintra castles. What's especially nice is that they've prepared a booklet with all kinds of tips and pointers, like nice restaurants, beaches and vineyard/brewery visit recommendations!

Can't think of anything we didn't like!
