We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Roosje van de Kaap! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The hotel's central location was perfect for exploring the area, and we appreciated the convenience of being close to everything. Our room was immaculately clean and neat, with high-quality décor that added to the hotel's charm. The breakfast spread was incredible, with more than enough options to satisfy our appetites. Additionally, the hotel's location made it easy for us to walk to nearby dining options for dinner, which was a lovely bonus. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Roosje van de Kaap to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the area.

The hosts did a great job in creating a tranquil space. Unfortunately it rained and we could not enjoy the lush setting outside. We fully enjoyed our one night stay. The host Helpi and her staff were very welcoming and helpful. The host recommended the restaurant Fields and Folk and it was delicious. We left a purse there and they called the hotel to let our host know. Because of the good connection of our host we felt very well taken care of. What a great service.

Comfortable room, in lovely gardens and with a beautiful swimming pool, which my wife was glad to use after a long drive. The hotel was close to good restaurants and cafes, and other local shops, all within walking distance. The owner booked us a table at an excellent restaurant nearby for dinner. Breakfast was very good and more than adequate. And we were able to park just outside our room. We stayed for just one night, and wished it could have been longer. We would happily stay here if we return to Swellendam.

Such a lovely place. We stayed in the chalet, with 2 bedrooms and we loved the house and garden with the lawn, shared pool, swings, trampoline. The house was clean, well maintained. The location is amazing. Walking distance to all the nice lunch and dining restaurants. Owners are very friendly. Highly recommend Roosje van de Kaap!

Beautiful old building in great location, exceptional breakfast

Staff could have been a little more helpful. First woman told us we didn’t need to book the restaurant across the road, second woman (I think the owner) said we didn’t and it would be full. We walked across to see and got a table without any problem. Restaurant, Field & Fork was excellent.

The room was very nicely decorated, big, with AC and had everything you needed. The property is beautiful with 2 pools, a lovely garden and tranquil. Breakfast was very nice and the owners were very friendly, as well as the staff. It is walking distance from Drosdy Museum and restaurants, coffee shops and some other shops are around the corner.

A peaceful oasis with most rooms opening out into a lovely lush garden with a big pool. Breakfast was good. Service was personal and professional. Recommended.

Nothing really. The sofa in room 6 looked a little tired and could probably do with replacing. It was excellent value for money. We would stay here again.

Great location close to the pld Drosdty and all of the best restaurants. Great and friendly staff, very polite and they worked hard. Lovely breakfasts in the old restaurant and the little villa room are spread around a beautiful garden with one small pool and one large pool. Great views from your room of the the Langeberg mountains. We enjoyed our short stay.

The restaurant had closed which was a shame. My wife has mobility issues so we had to go off site to eat, however, the beautiful Drosdty restaurant is just across the road.

Breakfast was standard but not special, sense for detail is missing a little bit e.g had only 1 big towel instead of 2, hair dryer was not working, one small towel was old and a bit torn

Hotel with really nice character in a lovely setting, in a great location to walk to Swellendam Cafes and restaurants on the main road. Great vibe and atmosphere created by owners Helpi and her family.
