SureStay hotel is located in the middle of Vientiane near the night market and where the nightlife is. We had a room in the ninth floor with an awesome view. They have a rooftop bar with exceptional view and it was a pleasure just to walk one level up and down between room and bar, which we did every night. The fitness room is well equipped! They have a good breakfast buffet where you can eat international dishes as well as Asian dishes and fruits. Eggs in all shapes and colors are ordered and served directly from the kitchen. Everything is clean. In the ninth floor you have a nice viewing balcony at the end of the floor, which is also the smoking area. The rooms are functional, nothing more nothing less. Excellent Internet.

The most prominent message in the welcome email was the warning that smoking is prohibited and that you will be fined in case you do it. That was a little awkward! But when you’re actually there the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and the staff is really friendly!

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Vientiane. The location is fantastic—within walking distance of everything you might need, from convenience stores and a wide range of restaurants to the vibrant night markets and stunning Mekong River views. The staff were outstanding: professional, kind, and consistently attentive. They went out of their way to assist with anything we needed, whether it was transport or local directions. Our rooms were immaculate—very spacious, ideal for couples, with a tidy bathroom and impressively strong shower pressure (a rare and welcome treat in Laos!). One of the highlights was the view from our room, overlooking the lively streets and the Mekong. Breakfast was a real treat, featuring a delicious buffet as well as an à la carte menu with fresh, made-to-order options. The on-site amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop bar was the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings without having to leave the hotel—especially appreciated in the summer heat—and the café downstairs made grabbing a morning coffee so convenient. The rooftop bar staff were a joy—full of energy, smiles, and warmth. Their cheerful presence added to the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. All in all, we felt the value was excellent for the price, and we would absolutely stay here again.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I was travelling for work, so it was good to be able to work comfortably in the room. The desk was on the small side, but I managed to work on it. A kettle is available in the room for making tea/coffee, and a small fridge is also provided. This well-presented hotel is well located in the centre of town, close to restaurants, the night market, etc.

Not much, though it would have been great to have a larger desk for working and maybe an armchair.

Quality Hotel this one. Great friendly staff on the reception. Would of been happy to spend longer here.

There is another hotel that is known locally as the Best Western. Every Taxi driver I had took me there first. None of them seem to know this place. Had to walk a few streets with my luggage on the first night after finding out It was at the wrong Best Western. The reception at that hotel gave me the impression it happens a lot. Not the sure stay's fault, just taxi drivers not keeping up with the knowledge.

New building, nicely tiled. Nobody used the gym while I was there. Tipsy Elephant [rooftop bar] was good with a sunset view over the river.

The bedroom looked empty & as a double room it only had 1 chair - needed at least 1 more, if not a sofa, and a small table would be nice to eat off. Room had a damp smell - traced to the roller blind on the window in the shower, all they need to do is drill tiny holes in the plastic strip at the bottom of the blind to let the water drain [and a steeper window ledge would help]. Breakfast was cold, despite having stay hot bowls, the eggs were just tepid.

Smooth check in process with welcome drinks. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The breakfast has a wide selection of Asian and Western choices. The room was very spacious and clean. We have been given a very very quiet room as requested. It's located next to a night market and many bars and temples. They also have security staff for the night.

The location is right in spot, close to night market, few restaurants, grocery shops.. the staff is really great, polite and helpful. Especially manager Ms. Pheng. Big thank you..

We stayed at 9th floor, and above us is the bar and restaurant.. which is a bit noisy during night. Also few constructions going on around.. that wasn’t pleasant during our daily nap time.. however Ms. Pheng managed to change and upgrade our room to the street side..

Location is superb, next to many restaurants and Mae Khong river, night market just a few steps from hotel.

I have booked 3 bedrooms and all of them got mouldy and musty smells so I have asked staff to change our rooms. Man at reception had promised to do it then he gone so I need to called again and lady at lobby she came by herself took us to check to another room and changed rooms for us , thank you.

Lots of construction outside you can’t hear it but it’s a nuisance to walk around Breakfast could have more variety

Wonderful smoking area on 9th floor

9th floor smoking area was locked after dark to all nonresidents of 9th floor. Very disappointing. Had to use sky top bar which was loud and crowded. Also intermittent sewage odor in hallways on most floors. Very inconsistent with everything else being excellent.
