What a wonderful place. The location was perfect and the pub and rooms stunning. Gino and all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We stayed here for one night to attend a family wedding at the nearby Hay Barn. Gino very kindly dropped us to the venue and picked us up at the end of the night. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed chatting to Gino. The village is lovely and it’s definitely worth walking around it. There’s a beautiful old Church with an open door, a village green and a small shop which sells everything you could possibly need. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back. Book it. Staff amazing and very attentive from the minute we walked in. Room immacculate and well presented. Food was out of this world. Absolutely beautiful. Pub and restaurant were well presented and just lovely.

Having a coffee in the room before bed, and the UHT milk sachets were dated NOV 2024. Our stay, April 2025. Only checked because of the lumps at the bottom of the cup. But this wouldnt put me off staying here again. Staff just need to ensure theyre checking when turning the rooms round.

Lovely stay at The Temple Bar Inn. The room was cosy and clean. Good food and drink selection. Stunning village feel. Homely pub, which is dog friendly! We did have to stay for a few extra hours in the morning due to storm Bert causing the river to burst its banks! However, the landlord was extremely accommodating and kind. We waited it out and he kindly took us to our car through flood waters (which was at another venue). Would highly recommend the accommodation.

Myself and my sister had a lovely stay at the Temple Bar Inn. The Breakfast and food in the restaurant was very good. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was lovely and comfortable. Gino, the owner, went above and beyond, giving us a lift to and from a wedding venue. It was very kind of him to do that and was very much appreciated.

Would have been nice to have a wardrobe but appreciate that that takes up space. The room and bathroom were very nice.

Just got home after staying at the temple bar inn for two nights, Gino is the perfect host, he looked after myself & my family so very well and went above and beyond for us to make us feel welcome and comfortable, we had dinner there on the first night and the food was delicious! And the breakfast was also superb, top quality food! The rooms were clean and comfortable and have everything you need, We thank you again Gino, I would highly recommend a stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

Very friendly host and staff. Very clean, nicely appointed room, pleasantly decorated. Fine location in the Golden Valley, close to the exceptional churches of Dore Abbey, Kilpeck and St Margarets, and within easy reach of Hereford and the Black Mountain. Good breakfast. Nice bar.

A firmer mattress and a second bedside light.

Really enjoyed the whole experience. Communication was good prior to arrival, the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food was really good. Onsite car parking is really practical. A really nice spot to stay if you're travelling to the area.

This wasn't a problem for us, but just be aware it is a pub so there will be some level of noise until closing time.

The beer was excellent, so nice to get back from a long day, sit in the bar which had a very welcoming atmosphere and not have to drive anywhere. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, we ate there twice. Gino's breakfasts were very good, especially the black pudding. Comfortable rooms and the village was in easy travelling distance to all the places we wanted to see.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The staff were very welcoming, the room was beautiful, clean & comfy. We arrived quite late on the afternoon of our stay and they went out of their way to save us a dinner before the restaurant closed. Breakfast was outstanding all very tasty locally sourced produce & our host went over & above to make us a sandwich to take on our walk that day. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely nothing

We stayed for 1 night in this great village pub. Friendly and welcoming staff, great restaurant with delicious food by the fire. Nice vibe full of friendly locals. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet with everything you needed. The owner was super friendly offered us a early breakfast if required, nothing seamed to be too much trouble. Just perfect 👌
