Friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable accommodation with excellent amenities. Being dog friendly is a bonus . It is hard to find somewhere that accepts dogs to stay overnight, and would definitely encourage us to stay again with our pet. Although we didn’t eat here, the food looked amazing, and the dining area was always busy. The outlook was stunning. Live music nights are a great plus. All in all we would definitely return and would recommend staying.
Everything was great, but if I had to improve anything it might be more comfortable chairs in the pub, and possibly sanding and varnishing the wooden tables. On the whole though, I’ve no complaints.

Winyard’s Gap was a perfect place for our group to stay for our friends’ wedding at Mapperton house (just a 10-15 min drive away). The staff were really friendly and accommodating for our various needs and we loved being so close to each other’s rooms. The area was secluded and therefore felt very safe and comfortable. I’d recommend it to anyone - particularly those visiting with others. The facilities were great and I wish I had more time there to enjoy the room. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
It felt more on the pricey side but once I arrived I thought it was well worth the cost.

We have stayed at this hotel before and the longer you spend here, the more you appreciate all it offers. We booked the studio and it was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable and well equipped. There was a range of teabags and the kitchenette had everything you needed. I have to say the breakfast was the best we have ever had and the evening meal was also excellent. We had a warm welcome on arrival and all the staff were exceptional. I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The views from the inn itself , garden and even in the room ( could view the stars through skylight whilst lying on the bed!) were superb. Felt relaxed and cared for as soon as we arrived. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was great, especially the venison wellington but the veggie full breakfast was equally as good.
A few dedicated parking spaces for guests that are staying would make this perfect. It is a very popular place.

Beautiful decor in room with an amazing huge bed. Lovely linen & soft towels. - very well equipped with radio, luggage rack, & coffee machine. Meal in restaurant was fantastic.
There was some confusion on this site as it didn't give an option for breakfast. Think for the price breakfast should be included. Great deep bath but could do with a horizontal grab bar for bath and a vertical one for the shower.

For visiting family the location is perfect and not far from coast either. We’ve stayed here a few times and every time the room has been clean and very comfy. The pub itself is lovely and food always great. Really lovely place to stay. Breakfast is great, freshly cooked.
My only suggestion is coming up with a more inclusive breakfast option. With charges for all drinks and elements of breakfast it can end up being expensive just for breakfast. The food is great though.

great room comfort with modern decoration, great food at dinner and breakfast ( just a bit expensive but a bit) , perfect for aperitivo with a great sunset scene in front... was very relaxing after a hard day work
price for room and food was a bit expensive, can be a bit more affordable but quality was always above normal

Big grassy beer garden with stunning view where we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the lovely restaurant. Big, light, airy room with skylight, wonderful comfy bed with luxury bed linen, and coffee pod machine. Huge thick towels, excellent shower, and great quality, beautifully smelling toiletries in the en suite.
The shower/bath drained quite slowly.

Everything was excellent and would recommend Nice friendly staff. Good restaurant and bar. Great location.
The vegetarian sausages were not very nice but that's not a major problem! The bar can be rather loud so don't expect to sit silently and read, for example. No complaints though.

Breakfast was delicious, but expensive, you have to pay for coffee/tea on top of your breakfast choice. You could pay as much as £18-20 each on top of your room price. However it was a good breakfast.
I think the hot drinks should be in with the breakfast charge, with juices as well
