This is an exceptional small boutique hotel that has been very thoughtfully curated to ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay. Every detail has been carefully planned and from the minute we stepped in through the front door, we felt calm and comfortable. The breakfasts are superb. There are three choices of coffee blends- depending on your preference for strength and a very wide selection of teas, fruit juices, jams, pastries. Mila is on hand to prepare local hams, cheese and eggs together with delicious freshly baked breads. We loved the honesty bar for beers, wines etc. The hotel could not be in a better location right in the centre of Mahon, yet quiet and peaceful. I am very fussy about my bed - this memory foam bed (I believe?) was o e of the most comfortable I have slept in at a hotel. Lovely organic shampoo and body wash in the bathroom. I rarely write such a detailed review of my very many stays in hotels, but Ignasi and his team at Haverac deserve an exceptional review. Thank you.

There was nothing to dislike in this hotel. It was excellent in every way

The breakfast was very good. We loved the design. You let yourself in with a key code but contact with the hotel is friendly and proactive and 24 hrs in case of questions or anything you need. They go above and beyond in welcome snd assistance. An excellent hotel in Mao.

One point only -and not a “dislike” but because the building is historic, there is no lift upstairs. It was not a problem for us (yet although in our 60s) but maybe would be helpful to flag up (it may well have been but I may have missed) just in case carrying heavy suitcases upstairs would be a problem for someone.

The location was perfect - right in the centre of Mahon. The owners/managers were so friendly and helpful. There is a lift (we didn't need as we were on the ground floor) and the bed was massive and very comfortable. There are shutters on the outside of the windows - we thought the room was dark, then realised why and opened the shutters when we went outside so it was fine. There are lots of shared areas - our adult children had booked other rooms so it was nice to meet up in the lounge or the coffee areas. Hot and humid when weather during our visit - opening the door to the hotel gave a gorgeous chill as the air con was on all the time - whew !

The only room left was the small double (small refers to the room, not the bed which was at lest a king size) however the room itself was a wedge shape and at one point there was only just room to get past the bottom of the bed...... having said that, I have mobility issues (arthritis) so that probably wouldn't be an issue for other people. The shower room was large, with a lovely shower (rainfall and handheld) and the whole room was beautifully clean and fresh.

The service of Ignasio was great from start to finish. It was great to have the coffee and water available 24.7. Also very nice to have access to beach umbrellas complimentary. The food was very nice at breakfast. I am vegan and Ignasio ensured I was catered for. We were given recommendations of where to go/what to see and any other question we had. I liked that Ignasio messaged us directly to let us have this from the start of our stay and also said we were welcome to contact him any time.

Unfortunately no lift to the higher floors so mention your mobility if booking here. Ignasio did offer to carry my bags for us incase it would be difficult. However you will need to be comfortable to climb stairs. My husband and I found the bed a bit uncomfortable. The mirror in the bathroom was a bit blurry (not sure why) which made it difficult to do makeup. Would be nice to have the hooks to hang the towels in the bathroom rather than the entrance. These are just small areas for improvement. However we still recommend this hotel!

This hotel does all the little things well. Great communication via WhatsApp etc. Hotel is decorated with nostalgic detail Hotel entrance is via key code. The room wasn't the biggest but for a solo traveller it waa perfect. Lovely communal area downstairs.. The wifi waa really strong and fast speed Location was great..as you're right in the middle of the city. About a 10min walk to the bus station.

Could have been a but more variety at breakfast but apart from that I can't fault it.

We loved it. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The decoration of the hotel is cool and inviting. The building is full of character. It was surprisingly quiet—we felt like we were the only guests most of the time. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had with local pastries and eggs prepared by Milagros and Nuria. Ignasi gave us great recommendations for the whole island. We were able to check in early. The location is walkable to everywhere in the city.

Great location in centre of Mahon so very easy to explore. Hotel had a real sense of home away from home - the host made you feel as if nothing was out of bounds - so just relax and enjoy while making use of the facilities. Beautiful common areas with great and interesting selection of books, magazines, games and artwork. Host always available with swift responses to even the smallest query. Woman who took care of us at breakfast (so much more than a waitress) - was fantastic. Cooked breakfast to order, great selection of fruit, juices, pastries, cereals, yoghurt - all interesting, organic and/or locally sourced. Kudos for the effort. Help-yourself selection of tea, coffee and snacks available throughout the day.

A lot of stairs - 50 or more between the basement breakfast room and our lovely suite on the top floor. We got fitter!

The hotel is a true gem, an old house maintained in its original style yet modernized beautifully. The trendy, tasteful decor creates an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The owner, who runs the place, is extremely helpful and friendly. The facilities are spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Perfectly located for easy access to main attractions, this hotel is definitely worth revisiting.

This hotel is an amazing gem! Located in a quiet side street but still two minutes away from the action in Mahon, I couldn't have asked for a better stay as a solo traveller. Ignasi has done an amazing job designing and decorating the space -- you can tell that every part of it is thoughtfully curated with the intent to make it feel like a home. It's stylish and chic, yet still preserves the character of the original house. The service was so brilliant and helpful, I really couldn't have asked for more. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in Menorca!

Great location for visiting Mao city, I would also recommend a boat trip to the Hauser and Wirth Gallery. An imaginative and creative aesthetic, exceptional mixture of modernism in a traditional Georgian building. Very friendly host and staff. Great breakfast of natural, local foods and honesty bar. Loved that there’s no TV! This was our third visit and we hope to return for a fourth!
