The Clachaig Inn is a wonderful old inn with great history and geared toward hikers and climbers, but welcoming to all! Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and while definitely old, it was comfortable and charming. The onsite restaurant was very convenient and the bar was exactly was a ski/hiking/climbing pub should be like: rustic, warm and friendly. Met folks there and had great conversations over a local gin! Breakfast was ample and delicious. While a little ways out of town, the Inn had everything you needed for a comfortable stay in the Glencoe area, as well as being right next to the trails to begin your hike.

Room was lovely, spacious and comformable. Great location.

We paid £225 for our room for 1 night. Loved the room and the overall stay but I thought that the late check in of 4pm and earlier checkout of 10.30 and breakfast service only being available from 8.15 to 9.30 was quite restrictive and a little harsh. I would have expected a little more flexibility to reflect the price.

Breakfast was good, the lodging itself was fine; especially for the semi-remote location that it is in. Being near Hagrid's Hut is pretty amazing (even though the hut itself is no longer there). That was the reason we booked Claichaig Inn. About a 10-minute hike.

First thing: the staff almost lost our reservation, which means we were almost left without a place to stay, even though we paid for it. Thank goodness they found it. Second location, location, location. Glencoe is beautiful country, but there simply is not much near Claichaig Inn, unless you like hiking (or Harry Potter). However, the location suited us just fine for our own purposes. Third, minor thing: the dining room was a bit crowded. We had no place to sit in the evening, and we ended up just not doing it. We took up the last available table at breakfast.

Clachaig Inn was central to all of the sites we wanted to see in Glencoe. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and we had an amazing view from our room. The Boots Bar at the inn was a cozy and convenient place to grab a pint and a bite to eat, listen to some live music, and rest up after a long day of site-seeing.

The restaurant and bar didn't take reservations so it was a bit tough to find a free table even at 8pm, but that's to be expected during high season. It didn't take away from our experience, just something to be aware of!

We loved the relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast service was amazing. The staff are super efficient but in a very friendly and relaxed fashion. The restaurant also had the same effiency with ggod food and lovely atmoasphere. The room was comfortable and well equipped with hot drink making paraphenalia. We would love to return.

The only small irritation was being sent an email on the morning of checkout saying we were required to pay for our stay when we had already paid via Booking.com. The staff just brushed it off saying it's an automatic email. I would suggest this gets looked at.

Charming setup with access to a fun bar with good music and whisky where we could socialize when we wanted. Breakfast and dinner were really well done and the staff was very attentive and friendly (didn't catch their names). Beautiful scenery and you could enjoy it with a pint outside. Would go back and stay for a couple of nights instead of just one.

The midges. They made a powerful enemy out of me. And believe me, I took names. Bring a citronella candle if you don't like using bug spray.

The front desk staff were great. I had an important document that needed printing, signing, and scanning on arrival at the inn. I was out of comms for the past few days in the highlands and could not get to a printer or scanner. the lovely woman at the front desk was very accommodating and helped me with it all with a smile on her face. The barman was also of note, guiding myself and my party through the vast selection of single malts and keeping us entertained. The Clachaig Inn is in an incredible setting and it is a shame that we couldn't stay for longer to explore the area.

Great place. We had a killer view out our window. Has everything you need. Restaurant, bar, great breakfast and hiking trails. Beds could be more comfortable but overall it checked all the boxes.

We travel a lot and beds and pillows are really important to us. For the price I thought the bed and pillows were mediocre. But we are picky on those things so only if you get this feedback a lot should you heed it.

The view from the window was lovely and the food in the Boots Bar very good.

I booked a single room - and whilst perfectly comfortable, it was probably one of the smallest single rooms I have ever stayed in. However, it was more expensive than all of the double rooms that I stayed in during the rest of my 1600 mile road trip from the Scottish borders to the Orkneys and back.

Great pub for over 18's, great music, great hospitality. lots of families, and it's good to see them having a good time in this beautiful environment. Rural Scotland has so much to offer and everyone should be able to enjoy it together, young and old.

there are no fireplaces in the rooms! i'm being silly, that's not possible. The hospitality is the warmth.
