The place is beautiful and clean.

The doors were not locking and if they do we couldn’t unlock the door. The manager was not taking our request seriously and that was not the greatest thing because we couldn’t leave our things in the rooms.

The buffet breakfast was amazing - lots of options and everything cooked to perfection. The location is great, not far from the shops and also very scenic. We also really like the hiking trail and the view at the top. The pool was also really great, quite big and deep, and very clean.

The friendliness of the staff could be improved, especially in the restaurant. They don't smile or appear welcoming, and make you feel that they are just at work. The room had a weird smell, like the smell of dampness as if the roof was leaking or something, especially in the wardrobe. We had difficulty accessing the gym and getting a hold of reception for assistance.

The environment is very tranquil and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. their breakfast buffet is amazing and they make the best waffles n flapjacks. The place is family friendly and activities filled up our weekend and the pool is amazing

I had booked via bookings.com so when I arrived I was put in a room I had not booked for. Upon complaining I was then given the exact room I'd booked ,it was disappointing that I had to complain to get what I paid for. Their beverages are expensive doesn't leave much room to get even a buzz

Rooms were very nice, pool area very good.

Queues every morning for breakfast. Monkeys and a cat wandering at the restaurant.

The place is lovely The breakfast is out of this place, it was too good. The dessert were delicious The staff at the restaurant are so sweet and kind, y’all deserve a raise. I really enjoyed the quad bikes. Highly recommend that as an activity. The guy that was assisting us at the laser activities and was driving with us the bikes was very kind.

At dinner you pay for your drinks. Coming there just know you are going to have to stretch your budget no matter what. The heated pool was not a heated as they say (trust me on that). You have to work on that because that is not a heated pool. The other pool is ice cold, you hardly even see people in that pool because of it’s temperature. Getting in that pool just means you just calling arthritis And coming to the jacuzzi you have to pre-book (R200 per person) The drinks at the restaurant are really expensive. The price is really unreasonable hey.

We had a fabulous weekend at Hunters Rest! Our family came together to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. My parents and sister with her family got a free upgrade to family suites so that all our rooms could be next to each other. The General Manager, Stephan, also gave us a free bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate the birthday. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were scrumptious and most enjoyable! It was a perfect weekend!! We will definitely be back!!

This resort offers so many activities on the property, including an adventure centre, golf mashie course and spa. But we love a property with rooms spread throughout the property and being able to park your car at your room. The rooms were spacious and very neat, and we like the small details, such as charging stations next to your bedside lamps.

You can see the rooms are in need of some TLC. Our large mirror in our bathrooms was almost completely molted you could hardly see yourself. The restaurant menu is expensive, and the buffet (R350 pp) but being so far from any other restaurant option you really don’t have much choice.

Dinner was very expensive for the quality we got. Ordered from a la carte menu, Meat was "off". Quality vs. Price - not good. Breakfast was good. Room that we stayed in was very good and clean. Quietness was un-matched. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention of one person, Thapelo, who was on-duty at the pool. We had some issues with the card to open our room, he was running up and down to assist.

Dinner has a lot of work to be done to. We stayed at a couple of ANEW resorts. Here Dinner was the worst value for money.

everything about the place it was clean nice the comfort and safety it's well maintained everything is awesome beautiful.

I can't fault anything but the only challenge was during the dinner we were supposed to buy drinks at an expensive rate they should look into it and also they should try and supply bottle water to the rooms .also they should try give discount to all activities around the hotel to booked clients and not charged same as visiting clients.

The property was clean and well kept. The bedding was clean and comfortable. Really had a good nights sleep. The bunk bed was big enough for both my kids. The breakfast and dinner options were great we really enjoyed the food. The was variety to choose from. The cold pool is quite big and spacious.

A bit on the smaller side though. Especially the toilet and shower room it was too small. Only one person was able to access the room at a time. The heated pool is small but the water was very nice and warm.
