We have stayed previously at Yellow Mountain several times. The room we stayed in had been decorated and refurbished partially. It was a room only, but within a short walk their are lots of places to choose a good value breakfast from. Great value for money. Check out 11 a.m., which is a bonus as a lot of places are 10. Lovely large shower. Also, new windows, so we were not able to hear anything outside. Quiet night. Freshly painted and new carpets. Excellent WiFi available in the room.

Lift out of order. Smell fresh paint when you walked in. No bath mats or hand towels, but staff were very helpful and gave us extra bath towels to compensate.

I really enjoyed our stay at Yellow Mountain Hotel! Everything was clean, tidy, and quiet – perfect for a relaxing break. We’re a family of four with 2 kids under 3 and had a spacious family room(no10,first floor) that was just right for us. The hotel is in a great location, with a lovely short walk to the beach. It was also very affordable, which is always a bonus. The lady at reception was really nice and welcoming. We were a bit sad that we only stayed for one night – would definitely book again and recommend it to friends! Room had a kettle, coffee ,sugar, milk and tea,a big fan perfect for the scorching weather. Nice shower gel and shampoo, also the tv was wide enough for the room not expecting such a quality one. Lovely stay!! Many thanks

The hotel and room was exactly what i expected for our 1 night stay and was amazing for the price. Everywhere was newly refurbed/painted so came across very clean and welcoming. We had everything we could need and the lady was super friendly, chatting to my young children and ensuring we could contact her anytime if we did find we were lacking anything. I sometimes worry staying with young ones at smaller places like these with the noise and behaviour children can sometimes show but i had no worrys here, felt very welcome. I am 30 weeks pregnant currently so will return in the future with baby number 3! :)

Perfect location for the festival in the grounds of Royal Hotel. Loved having a balcony. Although the room is very small, it met my needs. Staff lovely.

Shower slow to drain. Noisy toilet flushing meant avoiding flushing late at night or early morning because of neighbouring rooms. Although there was a chair on the balcony, the table (which was there last year) had disappeared. Hoping it will be replaced before I stay there next year.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly Location was perfect, free parking, and once we parked everything was within walking distance of the hotel.

It said 'sea view' - which there was... but it was in the distance. When it stated it was 'sea front' and a 'sea view' ... I was under the impression it was right at the beach front. So it didn't actually lie in the discription - but I did expect to be closer to the sea front.

The family room we stayed in was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for easy access by foot into Skegness but without the noise of traffic, arcades etc. the couple looking after the hotel guests were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

Room was upgraded as soon as i got to the hotel, nice friendly owner. stay was great, no problems at all, Room was clean and tidy, no bad points from the this point at all

the only bad thing i can say on this was, morning after was woken by someone in another rooms alarm going off, cant say thats really the hotels fault unless its thin walls thats the reason behind this, more than likely its because someone had got their phone alarm set really high to wake them up

It had a lift, superb for that type of property and so helpful to us disabled people. Room was nicely decorated and good sized tv for room size. Its rather compact and a tight fit with bedside table and lamp overlapping balcony door but its got a nice balcony with sea view in room 8, for solo visitors. Beautifully quiet area of town, i had window open all night and wasn't woken once by passing vehicles. Lady on reception super friendly and commendably efficient.

Nothing really, its well worth considering for short breaks in Skegness.

I advise that no one listen to the previous poor reviews. Both my partner and I really enjoyed all aspect of this hotel. The manager was just the loveliest lady ever. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She let us check in earlier on the first day. She made sure we were well cared for with drinks. She told us the best things to do on our visit. The way to describe it was she warm and welcoming. The hotel was clean and tidy. I personally wouldn’t say the decor was outdated. But it is a seaside hotel. The hotel and guests were not noisy at all. I managed to sleep straight through was not woken once. The breakfast in the mornings was a good breakfast. It was an all you can eat, with standard ingredients sausage, egg, bacon, beans, toast hash brown, tomato and mushrooms. We had room 20 king room with sea view. And it was so spacious and comfortable. We had a sofa looking out on to the seafront. Yes there are some trees with in eye line but that is nature. It makes it more beautiful. The shower was amazing. Perfect hot water for shower (and I like mine scolding hot) the water pressure was so good. Lovely flat screen tv on the wall. worked fine, got the big standard channels. To be fair we only turned it on the once.

Nothing

The hotel was in a great position, near to the attractions but far enough away to be quiet. We were able to park very nearby. The staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were clean and the cooked breakfast was good and reasonably priced. There were plenty of clean towels in the bathroom.

The hotel is a bit tired in parts but not so much that we were disappointed. Would have liked a bigger selection of items at breakfast should as more cereals, fruit and yoghurts. The bathroom needed a slip mat in the shower.
