The hotel was in a nice quiet location and the room was a good size and comfortable. It was a hot day so the room was a little stuffy but a fan was provided which was needed. It was very clean with nice decor. Excellent value for money.

I was very disappointed that the hotel didn't offer breakfast when we stayed on a Sunday night. I did see a sign up which stated they served it from Wednesday to Sunday - why Monday's and Tuesday's were not included in this I have no idea. A nice hotel like this with a restaurant should be serving breakfast all week even if its only a continental one - especially on a bank holiday when the hotel is full. We had to walk into Skegness for breakfast.

We had 2 meals in the hotel - dinner on Friday night and Sunday early evening. Both meals were excellent - my husband said this was the best fish and chips he’d had in years. I had the chicken tikka sizzler - chicken tender and the veg cooked really well. We had 3 courses for Sunday and all were excellent and really well presented. The room was quirky - the building is old so the floors sloped which was no issue though. There is no lift and the stairs up to our room were quite narrow, but once up there it was lovely, and as you are away from the centre of Skegness it is lovely and quiet with nice walks around there. We walked to Gibraltar point (about 2.5 miles), and also to the nature reserve behind the golf course. Both lovey walks.

Breakfast wasn’t available the first morning but we had booked room only so not a major issue.

It’s rustic charm, grounds outside inc pods. Bouncy castle for children. Beds were comfortable and I’m quite fussy.

It’s a bit tired and could do with an update. Only had one breakfast but the food was great when you got it. Staff were friendly but very disorganised. Received tea in coffee pot, tea and coffee in same teapot. Never received toast. Gave up asking. I think almost every table had issues. They had had a wedding the night before and think they needed more staff. Asked for price for same time next year and it was a 19% increase. This was our second year here but wont be coming back at that price.

All the staff were brilliant. We were very early and although unable to check in, we were able to leave our luggage with them whilst we went off for the afternoon. Family room with 2 very comfortable double beds was spacious for the 3 of us. Proper hair drier in room. Had the best fish & chips I have ever eaten, and at a cost of £8, was outstanding value.

Lamp above one of the beds was not well positioned, causing me to hit it with my head! No heated towel rail in bathroom. You need to be careful in the shower as water can go everywhere.. Restaurant wasn't open. We did however, manage to get superb food in the bar area. No lift in the building. WiFi signal was very poor in our room - room 6.

Lovely large room with a sofa, plus windows which opened to let in plenty of fresh air and overlooked the gardens and entrance to the hotel. The first members of staff we met were really friendly and helpful and everyone we met afterwards were too.

Minor things really, but had to ask for bath towels and a remote for the TV as we were hoping to see some of the Olympics. Staff were quick to respond and help though. Would have liked a selection of teas/coffee in the room (e.g. mint tea, earl grey...) Sometimes I do take my own, just in case, but didn't this time! Only other things were no safety/grab handles in bath and shower or tray for soap etc (being in our 70's/80's they do help!!) It was a lovely bathroom otherwise, very tasteful decor.

The staff where lovely. The breakfast was lush. Waiter fabulous. The room is massive , with a nice big bath ( never change that lol) Kettle and lots of tea / coffee.

The TV didnt work but they were great at making it up to us . It was so warm and the fan made alot of noise but it didnt really help the heat . Maybe needs a phone in the room 🤔 As we had to go down in pj's to sort tv out. Definitely didn't spoil the stay, its normally not that warm that you need a fan .

Arrived early, room was ready so we checked in,easy check-in staff very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely apart from walls in areas needed attention paint coming off and walls marked,nice bathroom and clean .Towels where nice and white and soft. Breakfast was abit disorganised continental was poor just cheap quality cereal, no yoghurt or fruit or pastries, no glasses for juice. Full english breakfast was nice and cooked good.

Understaffed at breakfast, waited ages.

The location is lovely, so peaceful and with easy access to Skegness or Gibraltar Point nature reserve, all staff were friendly and helpful. The bar area is a great place for a drink after a day out and there is a good choice of food both snacks and main meals

Our room looked out over a yard where the bins were and was above the kitchen, because it was warm when we were there we had the window open so had the noise from the kitchen below and the view was not pleasant. We did have a basic room so possibly to be expected but we were disappointed by it but would not put us off staying here we will request a different room next time

This is a very old and beautiful hotel, with two lovely bar areas, and a lovely setting

When checking in I was given a piece of paper with the door code for the main door of hotel. Unfortunately it was not stressed to us, that if we forgot the number, there is a 100.00 call out fee if you get locked out, which we did!! I should have taken a photograph of the number, I also feel any call out fee is inappropriate. Luckily a night porter realised we were locked out and came to our rescue.

Our room was huge , large bed plus sofa , and still plenty of space to swing that cat . We had a bath and shower , the shower was fantastic . Massive TV , plenty of hot drinks etc . 2 built in wardrobes . Well furnished , good carpet , thick blackout curtains and spotlessly clean . Mercifully there was also a large standing fan , very much needed as it was hot and sunny both days / nights we stayed . Only ate at the hotel once , an evening meal which was superb ( Port and Game Pie ) All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable , eager and willing to help or answer questions . Room was cleaned and fresh towels delivered .

Only slight issue was the mattress on the bed was past its sell by date - it could do with being changed for a new one ( room 1 ) as it was bouncy one side , solid the other .
