Review of Villa Marmarine Our stay at Villa Marmarine was truly wonderful. The location is stunning, and the setting of our room was simply spectacular. We stayed in a room on the first floor of a unique, round two-story building, and the spacious terrace offered breathtaking views of the sea. The room itself was beautifully decorated with many thoughtful details, including a water dispenser for drinking water, which was a nice touch. A special mention goes to Flor, the receptionist, who is an absolute gem. Her warm and attentive service made our stay even more enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was quite good, and we chose to dine there several evenings.

The hotel is in urgent need of renovation. Despite the best efforts of the cleaning staff, keeping the room spotless was almost impossible, as a fine layer of sand or wood dust would settle again within hours, seemingly coming from the building structure itself. Another disappointment was the restaurant’s billing policy. When we paid our bill, we were surprised and frustrated to find that every single cup of coffee at breakfast was charged separately. This was not clearly stated on the menu. For example, when ordering a Philippine Breakfast that listed eggs, rice, chicken, and coffee, we assumed coffee would be included rather than limited to just one cup.

Villa marmarine is a mini paradise situated in a quieter location of the island. This suited our preference and we were happy to bike 20-25 mins to the main area of San Juan. Hiring a moped feels like a must in my opinion. The property was set beautifully next to the sea, with a couple of loungers to look out at sea and watch the sunset. We only ate breakfast here a couple of times, it was reasonable and convenient. The bed is very firm but this is personal taste. The staff at villa marmarine are as friendly as can be, a really great team that made us feel welcome with nothing being too much for them.

The property needs some TLC and is a little outdated. We had to opt for room clean everyday because ants infested certain areas of the property, particularly the toilet.

Thank you so much!! We absolutely loved our stay in Villa Marmarine, we stayed for 3 nights and we are so sad it’s over! We booked the deluxe room with a sea view and waking up to the sea outside our window was a dream! The rooms were big and spacious, very comfortable bed and clean. We could see the sunset each night from our balcony and it was beautiful always. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. We recommend renting a scooter as it is a bit far away from the town but such a peaceful and quiet resort. We left feeling very relaxed and happy and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway to stay here! 10/10

Wow, I feel lucky to have stayed here for six nights. Such an incredible spot right on the beach, completely unspoiled and quiet. The restaurant serves delicious food -- from fresh fruit, to pork adobo, and even Japanese specialties! The views are spectacular. I'll miss the rolling waves, calming breeze, and beautiful blue water. I spent a lot of time just relaxing in one of the multiple hammocks under the swaying palms. The rooms have stunning views too, and are well designed with Japanese touches. All necessities included -- fridge, kettle, slippers, etc. with the bonus of a Japanese toilet in our room (Lonely Planet says every room is different). When you stay here, you feel like part of the family. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, happy to help with any request. If you can believe it, there's also a tennis court?!?!

WiFi didn't reach the room very well (we were the furthest away) but was strong at the restaurant. Completely understandable at a more remote location. Water pressure was hit or miss, but did not really impact us. The Japanese toilet more than made up for it:)

A piece of heaven on earth. Genuine and soulful. We are very grateful to God that we found this place. It is a place of rest. All of the staff, working students and the owners, as well as the beauty of the place itself made such an impact in our stay here. Thank you for playing with and giving our children your attention and time - it meant so much to the kids and to us. Thank you for making us feel at home, be part of your community. Thank you for all your humble and cheerful service. Thank you for spending your time with us - all the conversations, the tennis games, night crab hunting, assisting us with all our needs from washing our clothes to adjusting to our meal requests, catching the tuko, cleaning our space whenever we needed it. Thank you for the hospitality and company. We truly appreciated and enjoyed our stay here and honestly felt quite heartbroken that we left too soon. 5 nights is still too short! Thank you most of all for inspiring us (to all the students/staff and owners) - with your dedication in serving others and your thoughtfulness. Perfect place! Amazing views, really nice room with beautiful view just from your bed! Really tasty food, very friendly staff and owners. Very clean rooms with great bathtub and very comfortable beds. Overall we had such a great time, family of 3 with little girl and it was perfect place to relax and enjoy views and beautiful sunsets.

Nice beach, little bit dirty unfortunately and that was the only bit we didn't like so much, but every day sea was bringing some dirty stuff

Very nice place with Seaview and a nice beach too. Balcony was excellent for viewing and drink coffee or beer 🍺. From Garden and restaurant good viewing seaside too. Free good breakfast and The staff were very serviceminded. Very quiet and comfortable. A really relaxing place. 😊😊😊

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Their chef is all around, if he or she is engaged in the other role, the kitchen is closed. The water pressure is not that strong.

The room was unique. The view from the balcony was very nice, facing to the beach, quiet (only waves sound) with a nice breeze. The staff and owner were very nice. They helped us to get ferry tickets. The restaurant in front of beach was very good.

We liked everything and enjoyed our stay. If there is a floating platform for the snorkeling or rental kayaks, it would be a perfect for family vacation.

This Place was so stunningly beautiful. I didnt want to leave that balcony because the view was beyond perfection. The House and the room wear unique and perfectly maintained. The staff was as sweet as the owners. It felt like visting friends. The food was really yummy and the view of the restaurant just picture Perfect. We didnt feel the need to leave that place. It‘s super relaxing and quiet. We‘ll be back for sure!
