WOW. The photos don't do it justice. What an incredible place. We are already looking to come back next year. The villa only has 6 rooms, so its not busy with lots of guests, but there is a big expanse of mature gardens, terraces, multiple pergolas, seating areas and breakfast room. If you can find it available just book it fast. Location: 10/10 They are a little way out of the town, but its only a 10 min walk to the old town, if you are intimidated by the hills in the area don't worry, they have thought of this and have their onsite car park as one of the electric scooter parking zones which you can hire at any time on an app. The onsite car park can fit about ten cars and is free to guests. The villa is off a quiet side road so no through traffic. There is also a local taxi company who usually arrive 5-10 mins after you call. The Villa/room: The building is cool and has a maze of rooms. Secure coded gates to the outside, then the doors have a code too for extra security. Pampas grass blocks off the road so no-one outside can see in to the gardens/pool. Room was really lovely, solid big double bed, memory foam mattress and pillows and excellent aircon, wardrobe. Waterfall showers and great pressure, daily turndown if you would like it. Food: Breakfast was fresh daily, coffee carrot cakes, fruit, toast, meats, mushrooms and eggs. Fresh juices and yoghurts. Just perfect for us! There is also an onsite bar area with an honesty system, write down what you use and pay at the end. Stocked fridges with wine, beers, soft drinks, water and snacks such as crisps/sweets/nuts/. Outside space: Mature gardens around 1 acre of space, the breakfast room opens on to the outside breakfast eating space with running water and relaxing music. beautifully decorated and clean. There are many hammocks, sun loungers and a stunning pool. The mountains and valleys are the garden backdrop.

I wouldn't change a thing.

This little spot really is paradise. The care taken with the gardens and pool area to create a little slice of bliss is wonderful. The whole hotel has so much thought put into it, the staff are lovely and so kind and helpful and the breakfast is so delicious! We had some wonderful peaceful times enjoying the pool and garden areas and because there are only a few rooms you are never fighting for a lounger which makes it even better!

There's nothing bad at all to say. I would say if you have mobility issues you may want to look at a car or using taxis to get into the town, but we found the walk enjoyable (less than 10 min to the top of the old town). Taxis are easy to get if you did need them though. And you wouldn't get the beautiful gardens and pool that this places has right in the middle of the town, so that's a compromise I'd definitely be very happy with!

One of the best parts of the stay was the fresh breakfast every morning, a healthy balanced breakfast was thoughtfully and carefully laid out each morning a perfect way to start the day. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful it truly feels like a tropical paradise hidden away in the dry rolling hills of Valencia, I think my girlfriend and I counted 6 different fruit plants and trees around the area. The location was fantastic only a 15 minute walk from the city center of Altea and 20 minutes from the beach. Finally the staff was super attentive, polite and welcoming, particularly the front desk attendant who also was in charge of making up our rooms and cooking the wonderful breakfast spread which involved freshly baked goods every morning 10/10

Hotel Altea Paradise 1917 is located just outside the city of Altea. The center is about a 15min walk away with various restaurants and shops nearby. The property benefits from its own carpark and is in quiet location. The room was clean with a comfortable double bed and we had an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Towels were changed daily and the bed made every morning. The breakfast was delicious. You get eggs and pancakes made to order and a variety of breads and cakes. There is a ham and cheese platter and fresh tomato salsa. We stayed during the orange season and were offered fresh orange juice from oranges grown in the garden The garden is what really makes this property stand out. There is a swimming pool (we stayed in March so haven't used it), and multiple areas to sit and relax and enjoy the views.

Being there is literally like paradise. Immediately when you walk in you feel the warm embrace of kindness. The whole house and garden is made with an eye for detail. Beautiful views from every angle of the garden, a gorgeous pool and lots of hang- out space. The rooms are comfortable with a super nice enterior. It’s a quiet place as well, no disturbing noise from the street. The private parking helps a lot and is spacious. The beautiful town Altea can be reached in 15min by feet. The wifi is accessible from every place, also in the garden. Helps a lot when you need to do office work. Breakfast has everything needed.

Hotel Paradise Altea was a gem of a place, gorgeous tropical gardens and lovely swimming pool. Comfy day beds and hammocks in the garden. I loved lazing around with a beer or glass of wine from the Honesty Bar. Lovely staff and great home style breakfast every morning. We will return.

Nothing it was all great!

Everything was perfect. Mine hosts Martin and Esteban were welcoming and genuinely loved their lives in the hospitality business. No noise from other bedrooms although the hotel was full. The bed was very comfortable with ample soft pillows. The breakfast was varied fresh and plentiful . Freshly ground coffee. There is an honesty bar, book your drinks down and pay at the end of your stay. I could fill a book about the garden but I would spoil the delight of discovering it's many charms for yourselves. It's an absolute joy to spend time in this beautiful hotel.

Having to go home!!!

A fantastic hotel, the gardens are amazing, it is very peaceful the pool is great the views lovely. The honesty bar is a good touch and very reasonable. As this is a small hotel, it never feels busy. The whole setup had a quirky boho thai/bali feel. The location is a 15 min walk from the main square. Yes, it's up a hill, which was tough during the heatwave, but it's good to be away from the crowds. There is a little shop about 10 mins away, which is handy as you can only get crisps from the honesty bar. Breakfast was yummy, and you got such a warm welcome from the owners and staff when you walk in every morning. Choice of eggs however you want them, fresh fruit, cereals, cakes, pancakes etc etc We went for one of the larger rooms and were pleased. We would return as we loved the peace and quiet.

Nothing it's an amazing hotel. Tip - there are mossies which are out of the owners control so ensure you put on some repellant. We did and enjoyed the pool daily.

We've just had a fantastic 10 night stay at this amazing tranquil hotel, an oasis on the outskirts of Altea, set in beautiful gardens. The hosts and staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast choices were just perfect, even offering homemade cakes!! There was a well stocked honesty bar available for use whenever you wanted, which is a great idea. An absolutely wonderful place to unwind and completely relax, we had a downstairs room with an amazing jacuzzi bath. There are plenty of places to relax around the pool and gardens, with plenty of shade when required. The hotel is about a 30 minute stroll from the centre of the beautiful old town of Altea, which is a fabulous and vibrant traditional Spanish town with a fantastic choice of restaurants and shops. The walk to town, and the town itself are quite hilly and would recommend a car for a long stay or if not very mobile The weather was very hot and we did get some mosquito bites but you should be fine if you're prepared, and the hotel do everything they can to minimise them around the hotel and gardens

Absolutely nothing

The place was paradise. The garden and pool area were full of different trees, bushes and flowers. There were several comfortable sitting areas. You could buy products from the pool bar around the clock. The breakfast was rich, crowned by the staff's pancakes made with their own recipe and love. The room was spacious and we also had a really big private terrace.

The location was a bit far from the old town and the beach boulevard. However, the taxi only cost €5.00/way.
