Lovely hotel in a great location,5 mins from the historic centre (up hill) and 5 mins to the shopping area/beach (pebble beach - take beach shoes or there are cheap shops to buy from) The tram is not far either,if you want to explore other towns/villages. The buffet breakfast was very good, choice of cheeses,hams,pastries,toast,eggs,cereals, fruit, yoghurts, orange juice and hot drinks. The staff are amazing, very professional, friendly (especially Valentina) and quick to respond and resolve any issue. We stayed in the Provence room, which has a lovely big shower, and the air conditioning was very controllable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had an Excellent stay at Abaco apartments. It is in an ideal location, close to the beach, and near all shops & amenities. Also it is close to the old town. Which is a must visit, if staying in Altea. The apartment was great, and it is around the corner from the main hotel. Both have an old exterior and very modern interior. The apartment was a great size, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we were even provided with a cleaning pack, which included washing up liquid, a cloth, and scowerer, and a washing machine tablet. An Excellent Idea... There were sufficiant pots & pans if needed. Staff were amazing, and answered all our questions. They were extremely frinedly & welcoming. I would highly recommend the Abaco Hotel and apartments to family & friends and I am sure we will return in the near future.

Nothing to dislike...

A very quaint and quirky set-up in a large and extended townhouse. So many beautiful touches in the detail. Location great for the beach and great for the old town - about 200m each way. Great bath in the Havana room. The best bit though was the lovely young lady at reception when we arrived. She couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and informative at check-in. She went over and above later, even noticing us take a bottle of wine to the roof terrace and insisting on bringing us wine glasses and ice. I wish we’d have asked her name to giver her a shout out to the owner.

Not a complaint but parking was quoted as €18 and we found the free public parking 100m away by accident before we checked in.

It was honestly stunning. Like 100 percent my vibe. I was a solo Black woman traveller with limited Spanish proficiency and they literally catered to my every need. The young lady with dark brown hair from Spain Was INCREDIBLE literally like treated me like a queen ! Adored the ENTIRE staff. truly everyone was a dream. Room was stunning. It had an odd smell i think from the stone but i opened windows and burned incense.

Just that odd smell in the room almost smelled like sweat? but again opened my balcony and burned incense and it was masked .

Our room was amazing in everyway, we were given an upgrade upon our arrival. We arrived on the early flight and we were aware of the 4.30 check in. We arrived around 1 pm expecting to dump our bags and go for a walk. But no the staff were amazing, the lady made us both a coffee and enjoyed it in the amazing seating area and then reception confirmed our room was ready. Couldn't fault anything

The staff was absolutely amazing. The owner took great care of us from the time we walked in the door, making sure we were comfortable, we had a safe place to park our vehicle, making sure we enjoyed a glass of champagne in their beautiful courtyard before even going to our room. We paid for laundry service and they ironed and folded everything and brought it to our room. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Abaca. When the owner found out we got engaged the previous day, she upgraded our room, gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne, and even left a handwritten note on the pillow congratulating us. Love, love, love!!!

A very nice hotel offering excellent facilities in the old town of Altea. All the staff were very kind and nothing was too much trouble. A complimentary drink on arrival is always a nice gesture. The breakfast was very good and we could not have had a better waitress than Valentina. Such a shame that she has to go back to Argentina 😫😫

It was very bohemian and pretty and great location

The aircon in the suite we booked kept turning itself off and was quite complicated to put back on - the room was also advertised as sound proof which it wasn’t and also the toilet sliding doors are glass with a section in the middle frosted but absolutely no privacy if you go to the loo which was quite awkward my partner and I had to ask the other one to leave if we needed to use the WC

Great finish to the room. Nice welcome note on the bed and a heart made of red rose petals.Good size on suite with spa bath and separate shower. Good location.

2 free Bootles 250ml water but told the 2 500ml bottles in the fridge would be chargeable. No simple kettle to make a cup of tea just a pod coffee machine. Poorly double glazed window that let you hear everything outside. Roof terrace with no view. Would expect breakfast to be included for the price charged and not €17.50 each- we don't each much so just had coffee & croissant on the sea front

Hotel Abaco was exceptional across the board. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was extremely nice and attentive - truly, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay better. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel is located near tons of restaurants. I highly recommend staying here!
