The location of this small hotel is excellent, less than 300 metres from the central plaza of the old town. 24 hour free car parking is also available just 100 metres away. We had a room with great views facing the old town and there is also a roof terrace with spectacular 360 degree views. The room was perfectly clean with aircon, TV and a small balcony with table & chairs.

Unfortunately there is no kettle provided, so we were not able to make tea in the morning. Also the breakfast bar next door was not open so we had to look further afield.

great location for evening stroll and dinner. Worth the time.

At first the area seemed sketchy but then you realize you've misread the area. Parking might be a problem but we were on a motorcycle and got to park outside the front door.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a nice big shower.. There is a nice pub/restaurant underneath the hotel. There is free parking about 2 minutes walk away as also there is a supermarket nearby.. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful,,, I also had a fridge in the room which was not expected.. Will definitely return

The location was very good in the old town but there is a huge steep hill into the main town,,,which was about 10 minutes walk away.. For older people,, you definitely need to get a taxi or bus into the main town/beach Unfortunately I did not have either a terrace or balcony to sit outside in the evening to enjoy the sunshine.. Will request a room with a balcony on my return

Very conveniently located to the old town, with all its artisan shops and restaurants. The room was clean, air conditioned and had my room had a balcony. Very tasty breakfast (not included) in the adjacent cafe. About €5 in a taxi from the bus stop(well worth it as the hotel/old town is up a steep hill). 10-15 mins walk down to the beach. This hostal was excellent value for money.

This is not a "hostel", there is no self catering/ shared kitchen. A Spanish hostal is more like a cheaper hotel with basic facilities.

A traditional hostel in the enchanting old town of Altea. The stuff was very nice, they waited for us as we arrived after the check-in had closed. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable. Although very central, the room was pretty quiet. The hidden gem of the hostel is the terrace on the third floor with the best view of the old town of Altea. Magical!

A soap and shampoo dispenser would be better than small bags.

This is a basic hotel ("Pension") in the Old Town of Altea. It has comfortable beds, is clean, the air conditioning works well, and most importantly, it is right on the edge of the Old Town. This means the nicest shops and restaurants on top of the hill are only a short walk away, but the rooms are away from most of the associated crowd noise. The staff member on the desk was highly enthusiastic, very friendly, and keen to point out the panoramic views available from the rooftop, which was a bonus.

No English speaking staff available during our stay, but the enthusiasm and friendliness of the lady behind the desk meant it was easy to communicate via Google Translate.

Brilliant location 2 minutes from old town Altea square/cupola & little supermarket . View from balcony of mountain & a little patch of ocean. Peacefully slept with doors open to the skies. No air conditioning needed - lovely fresh air 😊

Well fitted room, modern and clean with good facilities. Small terrace with partial sea view over rooftops. Quite. Lift.

Reception area lets down the standard of the rooms. No one in reception on arrival. Bell on desk didn’t work. Didn’t see sign outside saying press outside bell. Waited 40 minutes before wandering around upper floors to find staff

The position was perfect, the hostel has recently been renovated and I assume new owners who . friendly. It's a shame the bar next door was closed as it would have been nice to able to have breakfast or a drink at times. We have been staying in the hostel for many years and.have never been disappointed

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and attached to a café that provided a good breakfast. The location was very good for enjoying the centre of the town. A bit of a climb coming back from the beach.

Everything was fine, no complaints at all. The plumbing is a bit tired in the bathroom but it is an older building.
