Beautiful view from our bedroom window, mattress on the bed was amazing I slept so well. Room was brilliant. Breakfast was lovely.

Not enough milks for coffee in the room. Noisy in the morning with passing lorries very early wake up call 3am. Reception could have done with smelling sweet. (Just my first impressions) A few long hairs on the bed (but wasn’t dirty)

Cool and clean property with a very nice host and cute rooms. You can find parking near the property at P1. It’s a 2-minute walk away. You get a better price for parking because you are a hotel guest. When you arrive, the hotel host lets you park behind the hotel first, to unload your luggage and then you can move your car to the designated parking areas. It was very good, the breakfast was ok. It was not as rich as other hotel breakfasts, but it was ok.

Maybe the breakfast could have been better in terms of choices. But maybe the ingredients are hard to source around there, I don’t know.

The hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed walking out to the water and into town. The owner is a lovely Woman that was happy to help us with any questions or requests that we had. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which we really appreciated since that isn't always the case in European hotels and we were out hiking all day and needed good sleep. Breakfast was also very nice and had a good variety for all the dietary restrictions that we have (one vegetarian and one dairy-free). We didn't stay in town during the day, and it was nice to experience Hallstatt when the bus-loads of other tourists had gone for the day and the town was quiet. Be sure to bring cash, since 90% of businesses are cash-only.

I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. At first, when booking, I was looking to book a place with a view of the lake. Let me tell you, I'm so glad I didn't. This one was perfectly located because it was a short walking distance from Hallstatt Lahn where the bus dropped us. It was right across from the funicular to the first excursion we had planned: the salt mines. Our room wasn't ready because we arrived really early (like 9 AM or 10 AM), but we were allowed to store our luggage in order to start our day. The rooms were perfect with amazing views of the mountain. The hotel is still a short walking distance from the marketplace. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, offering suggestions on where to eat and what to do. Breakfast was in a room with a gorgeous view of the mountain and was really good. We had booked 2 rooms. They were spacious and spotless. Having drinking water available in our room was also a nice touch. I would definitely be back for longer this time.

That I had to leave this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at Fenix Hall during a snowy retreat, and it was nothing short of magical. The hotel exuded warmth and charm, perfectly complementing the wintery surroundings. The cozy interiors, with their rustic yet elegant design, made it feel like a home away from home. The large windows offered breathtaking views of the snowy landscape. Each room had its own unique character, with thoughtful touches like plush blankets and warm lighting creating an inviting ambiance. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere. The local cuisine served in the restaurant was delicious and comforting, making every meal an experience in itself. If you’re looking for a unique and heartwarming getaway in a snowy destination, this is the perfect choice. I can’t wait to return to this little slice of winter paradise!

Jacquelyn, the owner, was a warm and welcoming host. We spent quality time with her and she told us all about the property and Hallstatt. She couldn't have been more accommodating. She helped make our visit memorable.

If you need transportation around Hallstatt, it is very limited. Walking is the primary method of seeing the town. If you have mobility issues, just know that taxis are not very prevalent.

A big shout out to Tommy and the staff at the Fenix Boutique Hotel in Hallstatt, who do a tremendous job making their guests feel welcome and providing information about the town (the center is a 5-minute walk), and the many things to do in this stunning part of Austria.  He speaks fluent English and German, among probably other languages, and made us feel at home, getting us situated when we arrived.  The hotel has parking (daily fee) about a half block away across the street, with spaces reserved for guests in a very popular lot.  The breakfast included hot and cold items, juices and pastries, and an automatic coffee machine allowing the guest to make their own selection.  A fan in our room helped cool the space significantly during the several days in August when the temperature was in the 90's, and wasn't needed overnight for other days which were cooler.  Parking our car alongside the building to load and unload our luggage was very helpful, thanks so Tommy's suggestion with this.  For a comfortable, welcoming place to stay to explore the mountain area and different attractions the Fenix is highly recommended and a hotel we would stay at again.

Maybe air conditioner for days when temp above 90 F

Our stay at Fenix was absolutely memorable. We were greeted by Tommy who was very helpful and made our stay in Halstatt very easy and comfortable. The room given to us was spacious and perfect for our stay. The only drawback was the walk from the Ferry station to our hotel dragging the large suitcases along, but Tommy helped us find an easier way to catch our train on our last day without having to go back all the way to the ferry station. Thank you for your hospitality and making our stay a pleasant and comfortable one!

A great location with a view of the funicular, outside seating for an evening cocktail. Jacqueline was an amazing host, providing suggestions. The bed was extremely comfortable.

It did not have AC and we happened to be there during a very hot July. Any other time AC would not be needed as it does cool down in the evenings.

Very close to to the main center of Hallstat. Nice firm beds. I had a great night sleep. The water pressure for the shower was great. The room was spacious for 2 people. No air-conditioning but you are provided a fan. The night gets really cool. I went in August and was fine with no air con for the night. We wanted to explore Hallstat in the early morning before everyone else arrived so we booked a night here. Parking was guaranteed because we were a guest. We stayed the night, explored Hallstat in the early morning (7 am), and checkout after breakfast (which was included).

Nothing I can think of.
