I loved everything about my stay at this hotel. Getting there from the main train station where I arrived was so easy. just a simple 10-15 minute walk or alternatively i could have jumped on the tram which would have took me straight outside. easy check in with pleasant staff. room was on the 2nd floor, tucked away, quiet and very new, modern refurbishment. local shops everywhere if you need or forgotten something (which i did - an adapter. Hotel owner offered me to use hers and directed me to local shop where i could get one as well as food recommendations. even said i could check out later. I even ended up going to a EURO24 game with the owners son who provided us with free beer and offered to pick us back up from the game. i cannot express how much they went above and beyond for me before this matter came up. cannot recommend enough. family run business and you can feel it.

Very close to tram station which was a quick journey to the christmas markets. It isn't a long walk either. Especially when exploring for the first few days. Staff were lovely and spoke to us every morning. Had no problem answering our questions and queries. As a young couple who just needed somewhere to sleep and were out of the hotel the majority of the stay it did its purpose. Affordable compared to other businesses in the area. Refreshed our room every day for us without having to ask.

Due to being so close to tram station it could sometimes get noisy, but with the tv on we had no problems as we usually like to sleep with background noises. Walls are quite thin, could hear a lot from the rooms surrounding us however this did not affect our stay. Looking at previous reviews we had already known this.

Outstanding hospitality and exceptional cleanliness. Pleasant front desk interaction and easy check in. I believe this might be family run hotel which provided a homey feel. Felt quite safe throughout my stay. Coffee was fresh daily, gracias! Note: Excellent location, steps from regional transport, 6 minute walk to Messe-Deutz train station. 10 minute walk to arena. Several local food and drink options within walking distance. Continental style breakfast option with booking, was worth the expense since was always on the go daily and most shops closed on sundays.

Water temp in shower was incredibly hot after a few minutes and no way to adjust further.

I arrived late in the evening. The reception was already closed, but the keys to the room were left in advance. Because of this, there was a mix-up with the numbers and the owner thought that I had not arrived and had not prepared breakfast. Yano, seeing me in the morning, quickly prepared everything and got my room ready.

There is a very rude woman working at the reception.

The room I stayed in for this period of time was excellent, it was very clean and tidy. The location was good to as it was about a 7 minute walk to where I work so convenient.

I know it's cost to have this in each room but it would have been good if there was coffee & tea making facilities in my room instead of going somewhere to pay for this.

The hotel is pretty close to the Cologne Messe which is perfect for me since I was visiting a fair! But the hotel is also some 5min away from the main bridge that leads to the cathedral!

To be honest I didn't check any reviews prior booking so I was a little surprised by the noise coming from the street and the adjacent rooms.

Simple room, perfect for one night staying. Comfortable bed.

The check-in process. On Booking it says the check-in goes until 10PM. I arrived at 9PM and there was nobody at reception, so I needed to call the phone number written in the door for "late check-in". I have no problem in doing that because I live in Germany and I have a phone that can make a call freely to German numbers, but I imagine travellers coming from outside of Europe would have issues with that. Not everyone travels to another continent with an available phone for calls, but mostly with an internet package only. This person there would have trouble entering the hotel.

Really clean and modern rooms. Shower and bathroom was great, even though it had the typical wet floor situation with the shower but not a major. Staff were also really friendly and helpful. We also managed to check in 2 hours before we were supposed to.

The place didn’t come with proper shower gel or shampoo, just hand soap which I think is a must nowadays. Also there wasn’t any any privacy blinds stopping people (or light) from looking into our room. Which wasn’t great for privacy reasons.

Comfy bed, great facilities, very friendly staff and smooth check-in process. Simple, but cosy. Also, the access to other areas in Köln was very easy by transport, taxi, or even walking.

The bathroom was not very clean. There were some hairs at the shower cabin. Also, no door at the shower, which caused some water to leak. We stayed at the ground floor, which was super noisy since early hours.

Even tho it doesn't look like much from outside, when we got inside the room it was very cozy. It didn't have much space but we personally didn't need it (maybe it was our room specifically) and it felt very well built for a small area. Lovely and modern looking. Would book again!
