The location was perfect, great flat walks and a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance. In our opinion one of the best locations on the IOW. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and the sea view was amazing. Parking was good, and the outside space was nice. The lady who serviced our room was great, nothing was too much trouble, as was the lady who served our breakfast. Sam the Barman, who showed us to our room, was first-class, very professional in every way, and very helpful
Breakfast was ok but could be better, sausages not very nice, bacon very fatty and a limited choice of fresh fruit. Dinner menu not good, very ordinary and not always cooked well or as described. The bathroom needed refurbishing, not a lover of showers in the bath - dangerous in our opinion. Generally the bedroom was in need of some TLC. We had a relatively new smart tv but but on the small side only 24" for £10 more the larger 32 inch could have been installed, not sure that penny pinching on these sort of items is best in the long run.

Location, Carole atbreakfast and Maggie who were both exceptionally helpful and friendly (thank you), and another lady in at the weekends. Really well positioned, food really excellent esp at breakfast, the staff tried to go the extra mile and this really made us feel welcome and looked after. Clean and beach themed, appreciated the little touches too.
The music from the pub a little intrusive in our room, esp in the morning, but it’s a pub and the music wasn’t really loud just constant during opening hours. It was very hot and we could only open one small window, all the rest painted closed.

Historic pub located in a quiet area on the beach just around the corner from Ryde . Easy walk from the pier so a perfect location to stay as a foot passenger Room was small, but comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Breakfast was included in the price which included full English or eggs Benedict, omelets etc etc . I had the Shakshouka which was absolutely delicious!! So overall a lovely stay and great value for money
The bathroom is very large but a little dated The bath had jacuzzi spouts in it which I personally find off putting . There’s a large separate shower unit though, so we used that

Convenient position right on front of beach. 18 minute walk into Seaview centre. Comfortable clean room but of the 3 windows on this hot weekend only 1 could be opened. The decor is fine but becoming tired. Excellent range of tasty breakfasts. The manager was very helpful in booking our ferry transfers at a cheaper trade rate. Did not sample the evening food fare so can not comment.
Tired furnishings and decor. Kitchen closed by 20:30 and earlier on Sundays. I understand the place is going to undergo refurbishment in the autumn under new ownership.

It was in a wonderful location, had an outside seating area with views overlooking the Solent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was the last one available but was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed with a huge bathroom, powerful shower and spa bath. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent.
The room was a little 'tight' but to be fair it was the last available. As an ale drinker I was disappointed with the selection with one being particularly 'end of barrel'.

Rooms have Great sea view., spacious room. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They provide good quality toiletries and beverages. The problem is it’s on the top of a pub which is not very functional and closes early. For food you need to travel or order online. Also, there are no staffs on site overnight/no 24/7 reception service. We could find few spaces on the room which were dusty, specially the showpiece area over the bed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I wish them good luck.

Lovely rooms, both with sea views and in excellent condition. Friendly staff. Good location right opposite the beach and walking distance into Ryde.
Would have loved more vegan options for food - yoghurt and cereals and more fruit for breakfast would have been great. Lunch only had one option which was battered banana, which although tasty, I would have much preferred some healthier options. Do expect some noise from the pub downstairs as very noisy through the ceiling until 10.30pm - to be expected when staying at a pub, but noting for those planning an early night, you may not get to sleep straight away!

The bath! With jets - Nice roomy bathroom . Exceeded expectations. Including toiletries. Thank you Particularly soothing after walking all day.
Got to get that wood-burner going! Particularly in winter season. Would have kept me in the bar/purchasing more jamieson I suspect. Or is it just for show?! / aesthetic prop... Either I'd have spent more than the logs cost. And, would have enhanced my stay there. I wouldn't have even mentioned (or brought attention to) that the back door was insecure. Made no difference to.us.

The view from the room was absolutely beautiful where we caught the sunrise and had a view of the Spinnaker Tower(Portsmouth), bathroom as neat and warm. The breakfast included was wholesome and we had dinner one night which was really good too. Nice touch with the classical radio in the room and the staff were friendly and helpful.
At night, it gets a little difficult to get to the hotel(if you do not have a vehicle). It is either the main road(no footpath) or the pathway from the beach(no light up till a certain point). SO we had to plan and get back earlier than we liked.

Lovely place - food was exceptional & staff friendly & helpful. We chose it as a base for a few days while we were on the Island to be able to clear out my late aunt's flat - it was a 5 minute drive away. Our room had a spa bath, which was a lovely extra as we were aching at the end of each day after clearing the flat
Beds were too soft for my liking - I like my mattresses firm. The cups weren't cleared away from our room & the water wasn't replaced, but it was very quickly resolved by the Manager (Rob) who was fantastic.
