The room was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped, in fact we are experienced travellers and found our room to be amongst the very best we have stayed in in the Uk and Europe. The breakfast was superb and the staff attentive , helpful and always pleasant. We feel that your hotel represented excellant value for money and will definitely wish to stay with you again.

We would have been better suited to ground or lower floor rooms as we are elderly and have mobility issues. The climb to our second floor room was tiring and some what arduous when carrying suitcases etc.

Our evening meal was very tasty and well prepared and the staff were great. The breakfast was excellent - a very good choice of buffet items along with cooked menu choices. The atmosphere in the bar area was relaxed and welcoming.

Our room was on the small side and would have benefitted from a quick spruce-up (having said that, it did look like there was an on-going programme of redecoration as there was fresh paint in a number of downstairs areas). The television was a bit loose on the wall. The shower in the en-suite was in the bath which was fine for us but could be a problem for some.

Lovely building, good size room and en-suite. Comfortable bed and quality bedlinen. Good location and useful for the number 8 bus. The breakfast was amazing - a wide choice of both hot and cold food. We dined in your restaurant in the evening and the food was really good. The standard of cooking was very high. A special mention to the chef who prepared the skewered lamb - delicious and authentic. Also — possibly the same chef - the stunning presentation of the panna cotta which was worthy of a full page photograph in a high end restaurant and the taste lived up to its amazing and appetising appearance. The free live music on Friday night was a surprising bonus. The couple were great musicians and our friends from Bembridge have said they will make a point of visiting.

It was easy to find, plenty of free parking, all staff from hotel and restaurant were very helpful and friendly, rooms were big and clean with all modern conveniences expected in a good room. The restaurant and was excellent, both food and service.

We had family room. The bed folded out for our young son was a fold down couch, the crease in middle was hard on him so we had to fix it with other blankets and padding. The family room also was made into a large room by joining two rooms together, however, they left the door that leads to the noisy stairwell/entrance/reception area, so a bit noisy in evening.

Lovely refurbished Edwardian hotel with good choice at breakfast (cooked to order,) friendly lady serving at breakfast, and helpful young man who was both on reception and in the restaurant (may be the owner or manager.) Ate well in the hotel restaurant several times. Restaurant staff were helpful with my questions about allergies and aversions.

The room wasn't that big for a 'King room,' but liked the decoration. Bathroom was nothing special for the price. We'd asked for a quiet room which we got at the the top of the 3 storey building, but some people may find the rather steep & narrow stairs up to the top floor a bit of a challenge. (The main staircase is fine, with a spacious Edwardian staircase with a landing with chairs half way up!)

We were welcomed by Anthony who happily carried our heavy suitcase up to our room. The room was spacious, well equipped, the bed comfortable and the bathroom had all the accessories one coujld want, with big fluffy towels. Tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. all supplied. The staff were friendly and helpful - we really enjoyed our stay and would come back to the Birdham every time. Breakfasts and dinners were very good and the bar stocked with good ale too, which was very welcome! A great hotel at a good price and in the lovely location of Bembridge, not far from the beach and all facilities.

Just a minor incidental - the toilet seat a bit "wonky" and needs fixing.

Staff were amazing, they couldn't have done any more for us. Breakfast menu choices and breakfast food were fabulous. We prebooked evening meals as the restaurant does get busy, really good choice and food and great service by the staff. Lovely rooms, we had a king room and our daughter and grandson had a family room that was perfect for them, lots of space. Short walk to the local convenience store and to the local village shops, plus a slightly longer walk to the seafront and the RNLI lifeboat station.

I can't think of anything really - maybe if I had to say something it would be that we had to wait a little while for the breakfast to be cooked but they were really busy and the staff managed so well for the number of staff there.

Bedrooms fine and very clean. They are very well equipped and serviced very well every day. Breakfast good

have stayed a few times and only gripe is that for breakfast most people really look foward to a good cup of coffee or tea and serving both of these on a buffet table in vacuum jugs doesn't quite do the job in my opinion. A pot a tea or coffee to your table, freshly made would make a big difference to the breakfast experience.

The hotel had obviously been recently decorated and smelt lovely and fresh. It was very clean everywhere. All the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We only had breakfast but it was excellent and it was lovely to be able to pick and choose each day. The best scrambled eggs!!! Lovely to have tea and coffee in the room too.

Bed was a little hard and two singles pushed together but really not a big deal.

Thank you to Brian who welcomed us and showed us to our lovely room. The bed was very comfy and all the facilities were a lovely touch - tea making and a Bosch coffee maker. The water was always hot for bath or shower. We decided to stay for the specials in the restaurant both nights of our stay as the food was amazing, breakfast was also hot and a great choice was available. We will definitely be coming back to The Birdham.
