Great location close to the beach, bars & restaurants. Good value breakfast. Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were very nice. Evening entertainment was good. Rooms were nice and big with plenty of storage. Laundry room with ironing facilities.

Double beds were really uncomfortable, could feel the springs even with a mattress topper. Disappointed as our first 2 nights the bar was closed when the hotel appeared to have quite a few guests and it doesn’t mention being closed online. The bathroom suites are old and the shower was so slow and barely any water came out.

The staff were absolutely amazing we had accidentally booked a room for the night before and we were told by the receptionist that they could get us another room for the night as they had space we were so thankful. The room was very clean and well presented and the bed was really comfortable. The garden was absolutely lovely and very well maintained.

The shower pressure wasn’t the best but understandable as it’s slightly dated.

The Burlington Hotel is an ideal location to use as a base for sightseeing around the Isle of Wight and it's cheap & cheerful which is a bonus! Some nice restaurants on the sea front.. Didn't try the food in the hotel as was just somewhere to get our head down.. We didn't go for it but loved that they offer packed lunches if you wanted too! Staff were nice and helpful.

Firstly, l would like to thank Sarah, the hotel owner, for making my first experience at Burlington Hotel welcoming. Although the hotel has a vintage look to it. The facilities are very modern and clean...The room was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. This was my first time on the Isle and it was a wet day but the surroundings of Sandown are so serene. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. The beach a 5 minutes walk away, , off licence opposite and a few pubs and takeaway restaurants nearby. There is an affordable 3 course meal option in the hotel and they even have entertainment on a Friday night. I would encourage young couples to pick this hotel as it is ideal. The rooms are so affordable and very friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back in summer with my friends.

I travelled with my dad and we were delighted to find we were so close to the beach. We visited the island to see my dad's sister who lives in Ryde and unknown to us when we booked it was festival weekend and the only twin room I could find was the Burlington. But, we were delighted to find it was such a great hotel, in a great location and we will most certainly be returning on our next visit

Great location in Sandown literally less than a minute's walk from the beach and the local High Street which has everything one might require. We requested for 2 x ground floor single rooms as my mum could not climb stairs and the hotel accommodated us on the ground floor in double & twin rooms without charging anything extra. The lady who owns the place was there for the guests almost all the time, really helpful, we were impressed beyond imagination. The whole team works as a single unit. Excellent value for money - I will be staying there again whenever I get a chance to visit next.

A faster wifi connection could have helped but that is absolutely not a deal breaker - one shouldn't be spending time on wifi related devices when on holiday.

The hotel is clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. Beautiful property which has a great balance of modern & antique furniture fittings.

The shower is terribly outdated and requires you run the water in the sink first before you open the shower head water. The shower head pressure is extremely low and if you are looking forward to a hot, enjoyable shower at the end of a day of activities you’ll be gravely dissapointed!

Really nice no frills hotel in a great location a 1 minute walk to the seafront. Handy on site free parking. The staff were all very welcoming. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Great value for money.

i booked 2 single rooms as i was travelling with a friend, upon arrival i was told i had no bookings,luckily i had confirmation on my phone,after some debate a twin room was found,not ideal but a room.The next day after speaking to reception,my booking was found,although it was under my friends name??,despite the booking and payment in my name,at this point there seemed little point in moving rooms and in all fairness to hotel,we were offered and accepted breakfast as some recompense,the mix up was quite inconvenient but, we made the most of the 2 nights we stayed.

It was very clean and welcoming. Staff were very friendly.

The shower in our first room was very difficult to get the right temperature and we did open the taps first. The pressure is obviously an issue.
