Value for money-excellent. I really don't understand the poor reviews on this place. Very undeserved. It was the cheapest hotel in the area we could find. The location is great- short walk from Sandown. The staff are really friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. It wasn't a 5 star place but you wouldn't expect that for the money. It was much better than expected ( from the reviews) and would definitely stay again.

For what we expected and for the money it was perfectly fine. The negative things would be nit picking.

We have been given more suitable room. It was comfortable, clean and good value for money. We read reviews and felt unsure but didnt expect too much. It was better than what we thought it may be.

When we were booking we had info it is with brfst but it wasn't. To be honest cant expect breakfast and room in this price. However, info was wrong. We got actually more suitable room when we got there and the staff was polite so at the end of the day we were satisfied.

You can't grumble much when I only paid £45 for the night! The 'bed' was comfy and the shower was hot. The room temperature was a lot better than a Hilton!

I ended up in a twin room so had a single bed although I booked a double. I didn't complain as I had a front facing and wasn't prepared to jeopardise this :-) My sink had cigarette tar marks on the side and when I used it a cigarette butt rose up from the plughole. The shower wasn't powerful at all but did the job.

Stayed here a couple of years ago was in need of improvement, this time the room we had was a lot better and it seems as though there has been improvement, the people are very friendly and I would stay again.

Really impressed with Channel View Hotel. On arrival staff were very welcoming and polite. For a budget hotel ... it is excellent value! Big single room, en suite. Modern TV with lots of extra channels. Free tea and coffee (with extra supplies in reception). Along with a bunch of fresh oranges 😆 Location is very close to the beach/pier. Comfortable bed. I felt very safe as a solo female. Will return to this place 😊

Room was very spacious, comfortable and very clean. We could get the good view of the Sandown beach from our room.

I had booked the room included with breakfast. Unfortunately I received an email on a previous day saying that breakfast is not included. I was a bit disappointed and gave a call to the management. The Management rectified the thing and promised me to refund the amount.

Great service. Fresh sheets towels each week. As much as you want, free tea, coffee, soap, loo roll . Clean. Friendly. Quiet.

Sea views from the upstairs the Hotel was a better price than all the other hotels, especially during peak season it was nice and relaxed, friendly staff Would recommend 👌

The location was perfect too get to everything The staff were very friendly and helpful The rooms are clean We're 100% coming again next year !

There wasn't anything we didn't like

The room was cosy, the heating worked without fuss, the bathroom was functional, the bed was comfy, tea and coffee was provided. The staff member who handled my booking was lovely and helpful.

The building is a touch old and so there was a draft in a couple of places.
