This hotel is situated in a lovely location surrounded by a park which houses red squirrels. It is a quiet oasis after a busy day. I used to visit this hotel in the 70s as a child so I have fond memories. It was a very exclusive and well kept place back then,so the beautiful original features could be appreciated. Everywhere was very clean which is an important plus for us and we will stay again.

It is sad to say that that this place now is in need of a huge input of money to transform it back to its former self. The external woodwork is looking very worn and whilst the garden areas are still beautiful, you can see more tlc os needed. In the newer block internal painting and works are obviously progressing. The communal areas inside need totally refurbishing as are looking worn and dated.

Clean rooms and everything you need, comfortable beds, good shower, good for pets (we brought our cat) and good for baby’s, a cot was provided at no extra charge. Customer service excellent is the reason I voted 9 instead of 8 - they processed a refund for us as I ordered an extra room by mistake despite booking.com no refund policy as it was a genuine mistake, but it was nice to see staff respond kindly and handle the refund with no problems. Most other hotels probably wouldn’t have if they didn’t need to.

The only thing to say really is it’s a bit outdated, but nevertheless it is a nice hotel with history so what else to expect really.

The property was beautiful in lovely grounds. It’s an old mansion House that’s been turned into a hotel.. need some work as it’s still a little dated and still some of the mansion is still back in its time but all very nice ..the rooms were clean and very comfortable .. 10 star buffet breakfast.. the only thing I say is the dining room is open between 6 and 630. I think it could be open later. Give people more flexibility on their evening meal time. If you want an old mansion house/hotel to stay in and this is the one ifor you if you want a big posh beautiful hotel this is not for you what I loved about this hotel as well that it’s dog friendly. . As I had a little dog with me ..

Not much, I did not like about this hotel as it was an old mansion hotel I loved that kind of thing

The staff were cordial and accommodating. My son and I left our luggage at the hotel early prior to our check-in time. Plenty of parking spots on site and the garden and the hotel's grounds were lovely to roam around during the day with lounging seats available to sit at outside while enjoying a beverage and soaking up some sun rays. We were offered a spacious room with 2 double beds that was kept clean and tidy. The building itself is very old and there were visible repairs that needed to be tended to but other than that it was a comfortable stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

The location was perfect. A very short walk to the beach and town yet the location of the hotel was very peaceful. The grounds were lovely to sit out in and we caught a few sightings of red squirrels. The view from our room was serene and we were happy just relaxing in the room as it was so quiet. The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was good. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to stay yet still very close to the beach and town then this is the perfect location.

Hotel was fine but review their own website as booking.com still has it listed and having a swimming pool and darts board - both of which are non-existent.

My partner, our 10-month-old, and I stayed at The Broadway over the Easter break and had a lovely experience. Our room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, which made things so much easier with a baby in tow. Breakfast was tasty, and I really appreciated the gluten-free option—they even toasted it in a separate toaster, which was a thoughtful touch. The bar and outdoor seating area were also great additions and gave the place a relaxed, welcoming feel. The location is great, about 10 minutes was to the seafront. We really enjoyed our stay!

While we had a great stay overall, there were a couple of things to note. Our room was located right next to a door that other guests frequently used to access their rooms, so it did get a bit noisy at times—something to keep in mind if you're traveling with a baby. We were also told a travel cot would be available, but unfortunately there wasn’t one when we arrived. Thankfully, we had a family room and were able to push the beds together to co-sleep, but I’d recommend bringing your own just in case. One other small point—there’s only one highchair available at breakfast, which can be tricky if there are a few little ones dining at the same time.

A very nice stay in a very decent hotel. Room was clean and tidy and warm, breakfast was excellent with a decent sized dining room and staff were all friendly. Wasn't. overly busy during our stay but there was plenty of parking. It is an old manor house so going to have some small signs of ageing here and there but certainly doesn't detract from the stay at all, in fact, it is nice to see a bit of character in a building rather than the bland surroundings of some chain hotels. All in all i would recommend to stay here if visiting that area of Isle of Wight.

Nothing really, probably could do with a lick of paint here and there but nothing major at all.
