We needed a quick quiet getaway and we found everything we needed. The room was a really good size. The bed was fantastic and a great size, we had a good sleep. It was cleaned to a good standard. The kitchen fully equipped with essential household items. We noticed the complimentary tea, coffee and cereal late but we will return. The check in was really easy and Emma has been very helpful and informative with really good response time. We were allowed to bring along our cat so she’s not left alone at home, and she has also enjoyed her stay fully relaxed. We are happy to have chosen Blue Star House and we will be again.

Great communication and very comfortable bed and quiet room… Great to have microwave , fridge and plates ect in shared kitchen…No kettle in my room but brought my own which was fine… And shower was fab! Only enough parking for two cars on driveway but Emma can issue parking permits which can also be used in car park opposite Queens hotel ( 5 min walk away) as parking bit of a nightmare on actual road where accommodation is.. Overall a lovely comfortable stay and will be back… Thank you Emma..

I recently stayed at an incredible hotel in blue star House in Southsea for the third time, and once again, it did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in South Sea. I will definitely be returning for a fourth visit in the future.

One small issue, I encountered was the room was a bit chilly.I believe I may have accidentally turned the thermostat the wrong way on the radiator.

everything in the property was immaculate, well presented and comfortable. I’ve stayed here before in a different room and I’m pleased to say it was a fantastic place to stay. this will be my first choice of places to stay the next time I’m in the area. I never recommend anything as people have their own tastes but I highly recommend this place.

Blue Star House is very clean and modern and provides everything you need. We were pleased with the location and had everything on our doorstep. It's a quiet street off the main road so we had a peaceful stay. The kitchen and lounge were very spacious and clean. Our room was cosy and comfortable with good quality bedding and towels. A fan was also provided.

We missed the instructions for the self check in, which is on the porch wall left of the front door. We had a bit of trouble and had to ring them to check in. But that was our fault.

It was located close to the town centre with shops etc close by. The rooms were clean but a little rough around the edges in kitchen, i suppose from many people using the facilities. It was a nice touch of the owner to leave cereals and fresh milk plus tea and coffee for guest to help themselves. I would say it’s value for money.

In some areas was a bit dusty need a bit of deep cleaning. Kitchen cupboards, lampbases etc

The room we had was very spacious and fresh, the large bed was very comfortable and cosy. Lots of storage for your clothes etc and lamps in the room which is great!! The wet room was clean and great quality shampoo & conditioner, towels smelt fresh and soft. Loved the idea of a lounge sitting area, very modern as well as the kitchen area they are both large, although we didn't use them this time. Overall fantastic and great value for money for what you get and the location.

No tea/coffee facilities in our room, something i like to wakeup to, although there is in the kitchen apart from that no other complaints

Lack of instructions as to how use the door locks. As unstaffed, we had a panic as couldn’t initially get in. Had to search for another person in the complex to ask how to use it. We understood that there was no parking but when asked for a parking permit we were not given one

Great location/brilliant facilities, comfy bed, nice communal area, also great that I managed to park in front! Walking distance to main area /food/shopping and pubs! Was travelling with others that were staying in the same place so great to be able to chill in the living room! Emma was also helpful and got back to me quickly

Nothing that I didn’t like

Very comfortable mattress, bedroom/bathroom was as described. Arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so didn’t use any of the communal amenities but did stick my head in to the kitchen and it was very clean. Complementary tea, coffee and cereal was an unexpected but welcome gesture.

Not their fault of course but it is worth noting the road can be bit noisy if you’re in a room at the front
