We particularly enjoyed access to the huge communal kitchen where we were able to cook proper meals (including homemade pizza!) It is very well located with lots of shops, cafes, & restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and the Common & sea front also super close by.

Parking required planning, but that's nothing to do with this property - it's just that everything in the area requires payment. However there are various locations within 5 mins walking distance, so it was fine. Just keep in mind that it does represent an additional cost if you are bringing your own vehicle.

We needed a quick quiet getaway and we found everything we needed. The room was a really good size. The bed was fantastic and a great size, we had a good sleep. It was cleaned to a good standard. The kitchen fully equipped with essential household items. We noticed the complimentary tea, coffee and cereal late but we will return. The check in was really easy and Emma has been very helpful and informative with really good response time. We were allowed to bring along our cat so she’s not left alone at home, and she has also enjoyed her stay fully relaxed. We are happy to have chosen Blue Star House and we will be again.

Our host has been very helpful, supportive and communicative throughout the booking and arrival process. Excellent location and facilities in a spotless environment. We booked two rooms which were equally comfortable and perfect for our needs. The showers are very nice and the beds are comfortable and rooms very quiet. Everything worked as expected and the house is well equipped. Very easy walking distance to the main pedestrian road to the beach and major attractions and eateries.

Great communication and very comfortable bed and quiet room… Great to have microwave , fridge and plates ect in shared kitchen…No kettle in my room but brought my own which was fine… And shower was fab! Only enough parking for two cars on driveway but Emma can issue parking permits which can also be used in car park opposite Queens hotel ( 5 min walk away) as parking bit of a nightmare on actual road where accommodation is.. Overall a lovely comfortable stay and will be back… Thank you Emma..

I recently stayed at an incredible hotel in blue star House in Southsea for the third time, and once again, it did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in South Sea. I will definitely be returning for a fourth visit in the future.

One small issue, I encountered was the room was a bit chilly.I believe I may have accidentally turned the thermostat the wrong way on the radiator.

everything in the property was immaculate, well presented and comfortable. I’ve stayed here before in a different room and I’m pleased to say it was a fantastic place to stay. this will be my first choice of places to stay the next time I’m in the area. I never recommend anything as people have their own tastes but I highly recommend this place.

The house was clean and tidy, the kitchen facilities looked great even though I didn't use them. The bedroom was nice and clean and the shower in the wet room was great. Nice touch supplying hand wash, shower gel and towels. The location for the festival was great, also near to shops and bars.

The 28 stairs up to room 9 carrying a heavy suitcase nearly put my lights out.

Blue Star House is very clean and modern and provides everything you need. We were pleased with the location and had everything on our doorstep. It's a quiet street off the main road so we had a peaceful stay. The kitchen and lounge were very spacious and clean. Our room was cosy and comfortable with good quality bedding and towels. A fan was also provided.

We missed the instructions for the self check in, which is on the porch wall left of the front door. We had a bit of trouble and had to ring them to check in. But that was our fault.

It was located close to the town centre with shops etc close by. The rooms were clean but a little rough around the edges in kitchen, i suppose from many people using the facilities. It was a nice touch of the owner to leave cereals and fresh milk plus tea and coffee for guest to help themselves. I would say it’s value for money.

In some areas was a bit dusty need a bit of deep cleaning. Kitchen cupboards, lampbases etc

I liked the kitchen, there was lots of useful things in there and it felt like a nice communal space to have a chat with other guests. The room was big

My room was a deluxe room but there was no mirror in the bedroom. This made getting dressed and trying to sort my hair out very difficult. Parking was a bit of a game to play but the permits were a big help
