Good value for money. very friendly and helpful host, walking distance to the sea front and a good base to explore Portsmouth city centre on foot. I was worried about the car parking situation (needing a parking permit), but the host sorted me out on both the days I needed it. The host was very quick to reply to messages via booking.com which was really helpful. I enjoyed the full English. I didn't spend much time exploring the neighbourhood but from walk by it looks like there are many food options nearby. I'll definitely consider booking again if I return to Portsmouth.
I would have liked to know in advance that parking permits were by cash only, it would have saves me a walk to the nearest ATM when I got there.

Price, location, friendly hosts and although I didn't arrive when I was hoping, the hosts were happy to let me check in out of their normal check in hours. 10 to 12 mins walk to Southsea seafront. Street parking with reasonable permit hours. I didn't need a permit as I was never there between 16.30 and 18.30. Very clean room. Nice shower. Bed was comfy. It was a hot 2 days weather and was worried about heat in top room but after opening skylight and front window it was like having Aircon. Plus you can stargaze too.😁 Tea and coffee in room, free WiFi.
Can be a bit loud from the street if at the front of building when pubs are kicking out even though you aren't in the thick of it. But found this soon calmed down around midnight.

The hosts were incredible, they were super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast we got was delicious and filling :) The room was small but comfortable, I really liked the bed, the bathroom was definetly big enough for us. The dining room was full of lovely people, we had breakfast together and everything felt really peaceful and comfortable. We also appreciated that the location was so close to the sea and some supermarkets. All in all it was wonderful, big thanks to our hosts.
Only two things come to mind, the first one being thag we always had to leave the bathroom door as well as the window in our room open after taking a shower because it would get really humid otherwise. Second thing, there were 4 spiders in our room (not a big fan ourselves, haha), we just coexisted with them but it is something one could check once in a while and maxbe remove them. To be fair, we did not tell our hosts, I am sure they would have helped us if we did, so they did not do enything wrong. We had a terrific time and would book again if we ever wanted to travel Portsmouth again.

Daily breakfast was exceptional. Location was walking distance to everything. Clean room! Gary made our stay (part of our honeymoon in the UK) a very memorable experience! He was extremely funny, friendly, and very approachable. We could have chatted with you all day!! Kudos on a job well done!
Stairs and no air conditioning but it is a Victorian house so that it expected. Bedding could have been better (duvet was a little heavy and scratchy) and maybe some toiletries (shampoo, etc.). A fan would have been nice as it was HOT weather when we arrived. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

The Waverley Park B&B. It did not match our expectations it EXCEEDED them, we thought at first the cost was to low and said to each other we'll its only for a week-end we'll go for it. From the off it looked form the outside a very well maintained property, good 1st impression straight away, inside very clean, the room was again clean and tidy with plenty of fresh Tea and Coffee. We would also like to say that the member of staff that dealt with breakfast etc. could not be more helpful and was a credit to the Waverley. We would recommend the B&B Clean and very good value for money
We are finding it hard to come up with something and its nothing to do with the Waverley B&B the parking ticket for parking between 4-30 and 6-30 bit of a fag

Great value for the family room. Attention paid on the important things - renovated and sparkling clean shower, clean sheets and towels. Great breakfast in a lovely dining room. Great for our overnight stay while we explored Portsmouth. Really close to a great strip of restaurants - the Turkish place around the corner was fantastic.
Nitpicking, but all the pillows were really thick firm and wasn't anyone onsite in the evening to ask for a thinner one. Made for an uncomfortable night sleep. Bunk bet needed some screws tightening.

The host was very friendly. He gave us recommendations for restaurants nearby. We loved the location because it was a 10 minute walk to the coast. It was in a very quiet neighborhood. It was so nice to have enough beds to sleep our whole family. No one had to sleep on a sofa bed. The house was very quiet and clean. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a ferry leaving from Portsmouth and the location was ideal for this because it was a 10 minute uber drive from the port for Brittany ferries. I highly recommend this place!

Price, location and breakfast were lovely. Room we're as expected for the price point we paid. Parking within the area the B&B is in was perfect and felt safe.
Breakfast times need looked at as this was too early, possible order to hot lockers with an order sheet the day before. The bedroom could do with a small drinks fridge and shower needed looked at due to temp changes however this was acknowledged by staff.

Location is excellent. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and the breakfast service was very good. The choice was also very good.
We were kept waiting to check in when we arrived as there was no-one at the property. The member of staff that was on the way was delayed by terrible traffic in the local area. There was a bit of confusion over which room we were going to stay in. It was on the third attempt that we were given a room that had been made up. To be fair to the owner of the property he did contact us by phone and apologised and also refunded the parking permit costs as a gesture of good will which we were grateful for. The shower head in our room could do with descaling as Portsmouth is a very hard water area and shower heads do need a regular descale to keep the flow rate up.
