Our second stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. It's really the staff that make this hotel a great place to stay, whether it's the catering/housekeeping team or the reception staff. They are all really nice and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts were up to their usual high standard!!

We were on the ground floor under a room on the first floor with a jacuzzi bath. When the jacuzzi was used one night (starting at 22:10 hrs!!) it was very noisy and we could hear children screaming and shouting; turns out it was an adult couple(!) and we had to get reception staff involved to ask them to tone it down which they did at 22:50 hrs. The hotel either needs to improve the soundproofing for those rooms or introduce a policy to stop people using the jacuzzi after, say, 21:30 hrs.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again if visiting the area. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful even if they were busy. Parking was available. The hotel was ideally situated within easy walking distance of the beach and the many other attractions Southsea and Portsmouth have to offer. If the hotel had a map of the area, the bus routes and leaflets this would have been very useful when you dont know the area it is important. We found out that to save using the car just outside the hotel, there were bus stops that took you anywhere in the area that you wanted to go. The room was well decorated, spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Two bottles of water were in the room for you each day for tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price. A variety of cooked breakfast options were also available. The service was excellent, and a brilliant addition was a bottle of water each to take away with you for the day. The hotel was excellent value for money.

We only have one particular suggestion, not a complaint. It would be better if the bathroom was refurbished to include a walk-in shower instead of having to climb into the bath for a shower. This is particularly difficult if one is older, infirm, or disabled in any way.

My husband and I recently stayed at this gorgeous hidden gem for our anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The 'Giddy with Delight' room was stunning, decorated in a blush pink colour the room vibe was romantic. Clean with a massive, cloud-like bed. It was so soft and luxurious that we didn't want to leave it. The ensuite bathroom was beautifully decorated containing a bath and shower. The two-person jacuzzi bath in the bedroom though was the highlight – we loved relaxing in the bubbles with a glass of wine. My husband especially enjoyed the complimentary cooked breakfast Ordered on arrival we chose to have our breakfast in bed as a final treat. All of this for the same price as a travel lodge. The hotel's unique theme and attention to detail made our stay truly special. Highly recommend!

The view from our room was the road and the carpark. Not a major issue but the rooms are advertised as having a view over the lake.

The location is absolutely superb, only 3 minutes walk from the seafront and close to the pier. The room was a good size and the bed amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was large and service was good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is mainly residential or B&B so very quiet. Parking on the street was easy and a permit is available from the hotel if needed.

The front door is locked late evening and whilst this is good for security, the front door lock itself is very fiddly and frustrating. We always needed reception to come and open the door which could be a problem if they were elsewhere. As stated in some other reviews, the shower pressure is very low. The bathroom itself is a good size but the shower pressure spoils the experience.

Lovely reception staff, the room we had was amazing, lovely little touches in the bathroom, the shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. The bottles of water was really appreciated with the tea and coffee in the room. The bed was very comfortable, had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, the choices were amazing, cooked breakfast was exceptional, the poached eggs cooked to perfection. The staff serving breakfast were excellent. On a whole it's the best hotel we have stayed at and will be back. Thank you for everything ❤️

There was nothing i could fault.

We loved the freshly cooked breakfast as well as cereal and pastries. Our room was on the top floor, which was clean and well maintained. There's a fun vibe to the decor, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for Eastney beach, just a five minute walk across the little park and Canoe Lake. Southsea beach is close as well. We stayed at the hotel for the Sail GP, which was so convenient. There's parking at the hotel, but if it's full the hotel will provide a parking permit for the duration of your stay.

Reception cover was a sometimes a bit patchy.

Owner was very helpful carried our bags to our room and was very friendly. Staff were very friendly too. We had a parking place on the Hotels forecourt which was great at no extra charge. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend the G Boutique Hotel.

Semi Basement room was a Premium room had no Outlook and for Security reasons the window didn't open fully which could have been a problem when weather was very hot there was a large telescopic fan in the room we did use it but it had to have it directly on us. If known we would have chosen an upstairs room.

I loved the rooms and and all reception areas the decor was very different but tasteful. We stayed in the gorgeous room and had the bday package which was absolutely perfect . The staff were the best I’ve met in along time in a hotel friendly welcoming and all very approachable. The breakfast room was beautifully organised lots of choice and the cooked breakfast absolutely perfect , the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel .

Unfortunately on our last day ( Mother’s Day ) the hotel had lost all pressure and hot water to the showers , we found out this had been an ongoing problem from the week previous . I would have rated this hotel a firm 10 had the last day not been like this . Also our room had a lot of dust on light fitting and on and in between the radiator bars . I appreciate not all this things can be done daily as quick turn arounds of guests but should be considered as a fortnightly check on a cleaning list .

Extremely lovely place to stay. Situated in such a great spot, everything we needed was in walking distance. Room was lovely and clean, we were informed as soon as we booked in that there was a small issue with the shower and we were offered a different room which was extremely good of them. Anything extra needed for the room was got to us within minutes. Breakfast however was the absolute star of the show! The full English was delicious and definitely worth having! There was also a good variety of other things on the menu and on the breakfast table if a fry up isn't your thing.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully designed with a modern, luxurious feel – from the velvet bed and elegant decor to the thoughtful touches like the full-length mirror and tea station. It felt cosy yet stylish, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was a real treat – very spacious and immaculately clean, with a walk-in rainfall shower and a lovely jacuzzi bath for winding down. The floral feature wall gave it a classy, boutique vibe. Breakfast was another highlight – there was a great variety to choose from, including both hot breakfast options and a light continental spread. Everything was fresh and tasty, perfect to start the day. In the evenings, there’s even a small bar on-site, which was a lovely bonus for a relaxed drink before bed. The location is unbeatable. Canoe Lake is just across the road, where I enjoyed a rum & raisin ice cream in the sun. The seafront and nearby park are perfect for a morning walk or sitting by the water watching the swans. Everything from comfort and cleanliness to location and food was spot on. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel and would love to return!
