Stayed for 5 nights. Clean and comfortable suite with AC and a nice hiking trail. This property is adjacent to an interesting forest edge and secondary forest so birding is very productive. Even owls came to the room just before sunrise, and an olivaceous piculet in the flowering tree outside our window. Guans, curassow, toucans, and parrots would frequently come to feed on bananas and fruiting palms. There was a starfruit tree outside our suite and some peppers planted around the dining area. Would stay here again.

The garden is already good, but it could become great! The staff were very nice to talk to. The room just needs screens for the windows to avoid mosquitos entering. For the garden, my biggest suggestion is that the landscaping is overdone with grass. This has the downside of requiring frequent mowing and displacing productive plants. Even more birds could be brought to the property by adding more flowering bushes and fruiting trees into the lawn. Plenty of room, keep adding those hummingbird magnets (porterweed)!

We loved how remote this was! Our cabin backed into the rain forest, and we had some of the best views of Arenal Volcano when it wasn't cloudy. The spa bath was excellent, and all the amenities in the cabin were great. The kitchenette had dishes so we were able to enjoy a couple of meals near home.

The bed frame was squeaky and felt like it may have been broken in the middle. We also had to be careful with food, the ants tried to get into everything, but that's what happens in the jungle! Bring some ziplocks to store your food

This property was amazing. The room was spacious, the view of the rainforest was incredible, there was a small trail to hike through the property, and the staff was very helpful. You are only an 8 minute drive to the La Fortuna Waterfalls and a 20 minute drive from all of the hot springs so the location was perfect. We found this incredible open bar in the middle of nowhere, off of a dirt road call Chicha's Restaurant & Lounge Bar (not to be mistaken for Chica's Bar and Restaurant). The staff highly suggested Chicha's and we went to the "wrong one"... what a great mishap. I think the second one has more food options but you won't be disappointed by the ambiance of the open bar Chica's, especially in the evening. We drove to eat at the local spot, Soda La Hormiga. The food was fabulous. We really enjoyed the property, the location and loved Alajuela.

There was nothing we didn't like... My only suggestion for visitors is to be sure you get clear directions before coming. I used Waze to search the Yellow Tree Hotel (which is on the same property) because Tropical Suites and Villas didn't not show up in the search. Once you get there, it's easy to get to where you want to go in the area.

beautiful location out of the way. Nice view of the Volcano and a great little walk in the forest on the property to enjoy wildlife. we could hear the Howler monkeys and saw plenty of birds from our room.

we did not eat at the place because of the lack of vegetarian options on the menu, and breakfast was a bit late for our schedule. also, our Spanish is rather limited, so was the English of the receptionist, but we managed!

The cabaña was huge and had everything we needed. Although we could only stay for 1 night - the place was all booked up. Outside everything around was green and it felt like we're in the middle of the jungle, yet in the comfort of civilization :) La Fortuna waterfall is VERY close and the whole place is almost at the foot of the Arenal volcano which can be clearly seen from the garden. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was tasty even if a bit overpriced for what we had. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would have loved to stay longer!

nothing really worth mentioning

The location and view was good. The staff was very helpful, and assisted with arranging transportation downtown. There’s a shower inside and on second balcony. Room was a nice size.

Dogs laying on our patio and furniture. The bed was to firm for us. They only served breakfast which had to be ordered in advanced, however they did let us order the morning of.

The ground of the property are gorgeous, beautiful tropical plants, wild birds singing. Service was very good and helpful. Villa was very clean and comfortable, bed was soft, full kitchen was great. A/C was cold. Breakfast was great, freshly made and delicious. Would definitely return for another trip, value was amazing for what we had.

No hot water for shower or jacuzzi, was just warm. Screens for the patio had holes in them.

The gardens surrounding the villa were beautiful. It was quiet and serene. I think the pictures should be updated to better showcase how nice the villa is! Incredible value for the price. I would also highly recommend paying for the in room massage, which I set up through the reception. We were able to do a couples massage on the porch and it was so pleasant.

The bed was a little firm, but it didn’t cause any issues

Wonderful peaceful location. Watching the birds (lots of toucans, humming birds, parakeets, among others) flutter about the property from our porch was really a delight.

Maybe it could do with a bit of a refurbishment, but honestly for the price, it was more than good enough!

The staff were great, the unit was very clean and tidy. View of the Volcano (when not in the clouds) was awesome. Breakfast with the birds all around was great.

No hot water! And no pool! Could live without the pool, but was disappointed that there was no hot water. The location was good but you need a car.
