We didn’t actually end up staying at Hartwood Hall as our room had been flooded but the lovely manager Nathalie contacted us as we were leaving home to inform us and let us know about availability in a nearby hotel. We booked that hotel and Nathalie said she would reimburse our Hartwood stay but because we had then had to book so last minute at the alternative hotel it had cost more so she kindly gave us a free meal at Hartwood on our first night to make up the difference. All staff were super friendly and knew in advance about our circumstances. Food was lovely.

Perfect location for what we wanted. Handy to have the pub for food and drinks, with the accommodation in a separate building, so not affected by pub noise; although some road traffic noise at times. Excellent breakfast and the staff were always friendly and attentive.

The room and bathroom were a bit on the small side; larger guest might find it a bit tight. I couldn’t get the tv to work but didn’t report until morning as it was late when I tried it. Everything else worked fine including the shower. Brew facilities were provided but only tea, no biscuits!

Great location with everything you need on site. I stayed for work and it was in an ideal spot. The room I stayed in was well-equipped with all the necessities. It was warm, clean and cosy. I unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to eat at the pub but it looked lovely. If I was visiting the area again I'd stay here. There's ample parking, it's close to local amenities and easy to get to. I arrived late on the evening I was due and thought it was nice that they gave me a call to check everything was ok. The accommodation is in a separate building to the pub, but it's right next to the main building.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hartwood Hall. Every member of staff that I interacted with was warm and friendly, and I felt very well looked after by the team. I needed to check in late and order dinner, this was all handled easily and the attentive service and good food in comfortable surroundings were very welcome. The restaurant/bar had a good atmosphere with several local groups having dinner or relaxing. I enjoyed the salmon with roast vegetables and a glass of Picpoul. The room was very comfortable and cozy with underfloor heating and all amenities needed. It was very quiet despite the main road being outside. Breakfast was also excellent and very good value, with several hot options and a buffet with many choices including pastries, toast & jams, cereals, juice, yoghurt, tea & coffee. Again I was impressed by the friendly team looking after me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hartwood Hall or to stay here again when in the area.

There isn't anything I would have changed about my visit - everything I needed was provided, no negatives!

Pretty much perfect for me regarding facilities & location. The Staff were superb, food & drink in the pub was excellent value. Loved that the rooms were in a different block just across the car park to the main pub & restaurant.

Just need to be aware that it is located on a busy roundabout. Not a problem for me going out to work early & getting back in the early afternoon, but could be a slight issue exiting & accessing during rush hour.

The staff were very polite and welcoming from the first instance, and directed me twice towards the correct check in area. The room was clean and well presented throughout, and kept at a warm temperature. Restaurant area was well maintained and staffed, and food was of a good quality and atmosphere was family-friendly.

There was a lengthy wait to be checked in despite arriving almost an hour after earliest check in and this had to be done at the end of the main pub bar. Ground floor room had the door lock at shoulder height and made the lock fiddly to close the door securely upon exiting, and would be inaccessible for a permanent wheelchair user. The room was quite compact and small, so not enough clearance between the desk and bed to use the desk chair, and the bed was very creaky. Conversations from other guests was easily heard through the thin walls/ceiling. Generally good quality, but mostly for a bed for the night rather than a place to rest between activities.

Room adequate pleasant, all necessary facilities provided for short stay. Clean tidy, the food provided excellent, and all the staff were exceedingly polite, helpful and attentive to provide first class service.

Central heating constantly on although the thermostat was turned to off. The room was overly warm, felt similar to walking into a sauna causing problems when trying to sleep.

The staff were friendly & informative & gave good service. Both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent! Very clean and fresh decor. Comfy bed, tv and good shower. Near ring road and hospital.

The bedroom was far too warm. This was when it was very cold outside in the winter. I had the window wide open, there was also a window wide open in the corridor & it was still far too warm & no adjustable room thermostat.

Excellent facilities with the pub & restaurant on site. I stayed with my wife the 1st night & then had to go into hospital for a further 3 nights. My wife stayed the rest of the week while I was having surgery. Excellent location for Chorley & South Ribblesdale hospital. 500 yards down the road.

All good, nothing to complain about, maybe the poor weather but we are all used to that. Staff all excellent in the restaurant who also sort the rooms out for you.

Central location - near to family. Stayed before and enjoyed. Shower a little snug only gripe. Great food/menu - used to stay at Malthouse Farm but food there gone downhill vastly. Great you accept the Blue Light discount for food. Arron our waiter was exceptional! Extremely helpful, informative, polite, professional and attentive. Brilliant service.

Only gripe was the shower being a little snug. I’m not a big fella, but someone chunkier than me might struggle using the shower.
