It was very clean, great location. The cottage was lovely. I found the activities list in the reception blackboard really useful and even though we didn’t get a chance to get anything, I really liked that there was a bakery van that came around in the mornings. I also liked the sms reminders about the firewood and park updates.

There wasn’t much not to like, but one thing that would be good would be to have a few kitchen necessities like cooking oil, paper towels and glad wrap.

The Park is always amazingly clean and all the gardens and walkways meticulously manicured. The accomodations inside are always clean warm and inviting with everything you need - from extra blankets to pots and pans to cook up a storm! Even the campers kitchen has everything your own kitchen would have. Navigating around the park is simple - its all one way, and is located literally on the beaches doorstep. The fact you can take your animal family member with you too is massive bonus!!

The managers were warm and friendly and the Swiss Chalet was spotless, cosy and very comfortable. The fireplace was set with firewood and we had everything we needed. The chalets are stand-alone so no shared walls and plenty of peace & quiet. The entire park is well maintained and located right on the beach, with Tonic Restaurant a short stroll away along the beach path. Its also pet friendly which we love. Great value accomodation, highly recommend!

I was so happy with my stay and wish it was for longer! I actually booked a quiet luxurious accomodation for the few days prior to my stay at Sandy Bay and I wish I would’ve just stayed at Sandy Bay the entire time! It was such a comfortable and cozy stay, great location and your room comes with everything you need. The complimentary fire wood was a nice bonus and I will definitely be back with my family to stay again.

Shower head not the best. Didn’t like the fact there was no turning lane into Norman Street on the Bussell Highway but then realised there was more of a turning lane the street before, Armstrong Street which felt a lot safer. That was enough to determine if I would stay again. Had a few problems with TV reception which the staff were very helpful with.

The beach is around 50 metres away! There is a walk/cycle path that follows the beachside north & south of the venue. The chalet was clean and tidy; well-presented.

Being "picky"- the key for the door lock, while it worked, was a bit clunky to use. Possums playing on the roof dis disturb our sleep, but not so badly that sleep was not possible.

A nice fireplace and good kitchen facilities. Good heating for winter with heaters provided too if you do not want to start the fireplace. Close to beach, neat and tidy both inside and outside.

The second bedroom with four bunks was a bit dark and narrow. The shower and laundry area a bit dated.

Location was amazing! The Chalet was very cozy. Almost soundproof-which helped with early morning scooter riders (neighbours kids). Loved the convenience of the playground being directly out the back door. It's well shaded and extremely peaceful.

The beds. The cot needs a mattress for bubs. The double/queen in the main bedroom slopes and sinks in the middle. However, bedding was sufficient.

Awesome location 2 minutes walk to the beach. Easy to find, quiet location. Chalets were spotlessly clean and contained just about everything you could need. Spacious bedrooms, loads of storage and fully equipped kitchen.
