Beautiful spot, one of the best views ever of the ocean.

Breakfast was ok, but most food gone near the end of the time. WiFi was bad in my room. Had to go outside and walk towards the office to get the internet. As a result, my phone and computer could connect in my room. This should be fixed. No AC, but weather was ok, and we slept with the windows open.

The view was absolutely amazing!! I have never seen a hotel light up the ocean for the perfect evening ambience. My sister and I sat out on the balcony huddled in blankets to enjoy the evening view. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. She took the time to make dinner reservations for us at Shoal.

The breakfast was not Gluten Free friendly. The cakes and pastries looked delicious. I was not able to enjoy them, myself.

The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The view from the room was beautiful and the sound of the surf was relaxing.

The free breakfast was adequate but a bit disappointing. By the time we arrived at 8:45 the fresh fruit was all gone. It appeared that nothing was replenished.

The view is amazing! The pool was perfect. The food was delicious.

Didn’t have access to the beach and no other restaurants in walking distance.

The view, the two bedroom room that accomodated, my mom, two 12 year old boys and myself, the comfy beds, and all the great spots around the property to sit and watch the ocean! Our dinner was fabulous! We had Ciopino and the scallop risotto! The server and the kitchen also substituted some sides for my son's filet! Such a special place! I wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back

My only complaint was it's a bit loud early in the morning... I could have closed the windows but the smell and sound of the ocean was worth the noise.

Location is phenomenal! The crashing of the waves is the most natural white noise, it put me right to sleep. I love the setup with the pool and dining areas looking over the shoreline. The front of the unit looks right over the pool to the ocean. I also love the 12pm checkout time, giving the opportunity to enjoy the morning without rushing out. The continental breakfast was okay. The best part is that it is available until 10am. Again, not rushing us out. Besides being dated, the room was VERY clean.

The facilities are dated and the on-site restaurant is pricey. The toilet seat in our room was loose and the furniture and walls were old. The walls were painted over on the spots that should be replace. The bed was super high and uncomfortable. Also, the parking was horrible, between restaurant goers and beach-goers, it was slim pickins or worse.

This location is so unique. Nestled on the shore between Highway 1/101 and the point break known as as Oil Piers (there used to be more than the last remaining one) The Cliff House Inn is a throwback to old California. The restaurant at the hotel is outstanding There is little to do here but relax and look at the waves and sky. And that, is the whole point and beauty of this little gem.

There is very little not to like about this place. The property has its quirks. It is not a big chain hotel so each unit is unique and has character but it is lovingly maintained, the rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet.

Loved the location, the food at the restaurant was very good and the staff was nice. Lupe the host was especially nice and can tell she loves her job.

I did not like that the gardner mowed the grass while we were there in the late afternoon and that the pool guy cleaned the pool during the middle of the day when the weather was perfect to go swimming, and it took him over an hour to complete. These things should be done early in the morning, not during the prime time that guests want to enjoy the property. Also there were ants in our room.

Spectacular location; comfortable room; very friendly and helpful staff

Bathrooms could use a cosmetic upgrade - but that is a very minor criticism
