The staff were all so friendly and kind. Really looked after us and made our stay so amazing. We really didn’t want to leave, wish we had more time at this hotel. We also got breakfast every morning included in the price. We didn’t realise we got this so it was a lovely treat. There is a big variety of options, can have something different every morning. The staff were just so lovely. Especially Jessica, the manger. She’s so kind and friendly and was so helpful with great tips on where to go and what to see. She also gave us all gorgeous bracelets as a reminder of Nungwi. Highly recommend staying here. Great value for money.

Everything was perfect.

Beautiful gardens that felt like being in a calm jungle oasis only 5mins walk away from the beach. Since the beach can get quite busy (also stunning) it was so nice to be back in the peaceful gardens of Gaia Villas around the pool. Room was very spacious and comfortable with a great terrace where we could enjoy the breeze. Breakfast was yummy too.

Having to leave and go home was the worst part!

This place is a piece of green heaven in crowded Nungwi.It has a beautiful pool which is actually the best part but also, you will eat a well thought out breakfast. You will feel safe because of the wonderful security guards who will help you to carry your luggage and to check all taxi drivers. Everything looks much better than in the pictures.

Everything is ok, but the owner could think about maintaining toilets in a better way (not talking about cleaning staff who is perfect). He should think about how to improve a drain system and paint the walls much more often or find a way to eliminate moisture, but that is just a tip!

The facilities are beautiful and modern. The staff is exceptional from the security, receptionist and cleaners; they really go out of their way to assist and ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The pool is exactly what you see breath-taking. The place offers a sense of calmness with their beautiful garden this can ensure a relaxing stay. Nungwi beach is just down the road for you to engage in all your planned activities. I absolutely loved this place and I would book it again on my next visit to Zanzibar. Thank you

The place isn't really as big as you would imagine; however it is comfortable. I don't know what needs to be done with the breakfast but it wasn't quite there yet.

On arrival we were greeted by the security guards who helped us with checking in and carrying our bags to the room. The room was very spacious and beautiful decorated to celebrate my husband’s birthday which was very appreciated. The pool was the highlight for us, surrounded by beautiful trees, it truly felt like paradise. It is situated on a main tar road which made it easy to get a Tuk Tuk to move around, also very close to most restaurants. Our Tuk Tuk guy Alex was the best. I would like to send a personal shout out to Isiah, the property manager, he was so gracious and kind and did everything with a smile. He came the night we checked in to help with a concern we had. He is an asset and a true gem.

Our room was not entirely clean upon arrival which was disappointing, the floors had muddy shoe prints on which Isiah gladly assisted us with. The gentleman that does the garden spoiled our pool day, he had cleaned the pool and garden prior to us using it, then once we settled on the loungers he started raking non existent leaves right behind us, he did this the entire time we were at the pool which was a good three hours. This made our experience very unpleasant, he also stares a lot which made me very uncomfortable. He needs to give guests privacy to enjoy the facilities.

I loved everything about Gaia Villas. The villa itself was super comfortable and clean, with really thoughtful details such as locally-made soap and a beach bag you could use during your stay. The breakfast and lunch were so delicious. I loved chilling by the pool in the peaceful garden. The staff were also lovely and helpful. They organised snorkelling and transport to Nungwi from Stone Town and back again. This place isn’t super close to the beach, but I liked being a little bit away from the main area. They provide a helpful map to help you get to where you need to go. Would absolutely go back next time. Thanks so much!

I really enjoyed mu stay in this wonderful oasis. I felt like a part of the family. All the the people running this property were extremely kind. I loved the pool and the jungle vibe with birds singing. The breakfasts were spectacular. The villa is very spacious and clean and comfortable. I would definitely come again!

The only possible thing to improve in my opinion is the AC. There is only one AC in the bedroom facing the bed and there is none in the big living room and kitchen so it gets very hot (or too cold in the bedroom). Also, there could be more kitchen utensils for preparing meals and a desk for working. I think the big space could be organised in a much better way.

The property felt like it was on an island of its own, hidden away from the rest of the world, it was peaceful with a beautiful garden and wonderful staff. Our apartment was superb, own balcony, private entry, large living room and bedroom with a modern bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, a big shout out to Isaaya who made sure we had what we needed, including ice for our daily drinks on the balcony. Thank you to Tanya who was helpful and kind, you have a fabulous staff and we enjoyed sharing your slice of heaven with you!

I am extremely happy with experience at Gaia Villas. The property is beautiful - nicely landscaped and the villas tasteful and comfortable. Tanya - the property owner - went out of her way to answer so many questions and help me to coordinate excursions and transportation. Isaac - the front desk manager - was also hospitable, personable, and always there to help. One of best parts was the breakfast - definitely not your standard hotel breakfast and instead featured homemade jams, baguette, and a main of your choice cooked fresh. While there are a lot of big box villas and hotels around Nungwi, this boutique villa of just 8 rental units feels personal and special. I would highly recommend!

We have spent lovely 10 days in Gaia and could easily spend more, which is something I say rarely. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, including spraying for mosquitos in the evening. The bed is the most comfortable I have had in Africa so far! The breakfast is pleantiful and prepared fresh each morning, including homemade baguettes and jam. The beach is only a short walk away or you can catch quick&cheap tuk tuk ride anywhere in Nungwi. However what makes Gaia stand out is Tanya and her team, who are all very friendly and so so helpful, going above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Asante sana Gaia :)
