The location was the best on the beach in my opinion. I loved the deck that at high tide was directly above the crashing waves. Sunsets on the deck were spectacular. AC was perfect. The desk management was friendly. Amazing delicious breakfasts. Entertainment at night.

The wifi was weak unless I went outside my room. The bright light for the beach was mounted at the level of my window so at night the artificial light comes into the room. However management said they would put it on the list to adjust the height of the light.

Hotel directly on the beach with lot of shedow,with excellent breakfast on the terrace. The rooms could be better maintained, during our stay we had to change rooms at night because the air conditioner did not work. Friendly staff and the manager who provided us with a taxi as a sign of apology.. But in a future we will stay here again

I really liked that the hotel is right by the beach so i could go to the beach all the time and go for different activities. my room was clean. I was given 2 bottles of water each time they cleaned the room which is really good. Zanzibar was very Hot so i am very glad the room had AC and a ceiling FAN. I liked that the bathroom had a water heater because i prefer hot showers. The staff were friendly and nice from the cleaning staff to the receptionist to the waiters and waitresses at the restaurant. The swimming pool was clean and the beds by the pool were more than enough for the guests. the hotel is located in a quiet area so i got to rest and enjoy my vacation away from the noise of the city. the restaurant food was amazing. i liked having meals with the view of the ocean. Also as a solo traveller woman, I felt safe here. Lastly, my departure flight was late in the night so at check out time they helped me keep my bags in the luggage room so i could continue to relax till it was time to leave.

I was looking for a place with depth, peaceful, pleasant and Amaani is more of a place if you want to be social.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice in one year, and each visit has been nothing short of exceptional. From the warm hospitality to the stunning surroundings, every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, the accommodations are comfortable and well maintained, and the atmosphere is simply perfect for a relaxing getaway. I’m already looking forward to my next stay—it truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Amaan Beach Bungalows in a great location in Nungwi. It’s in line with a few other hotels like the Z, Langi Langi and Zenobia. So you can walk basically down a sidewalk through all these hotels, basically connected and right off the beach. I feel like this is added value as you can go to the different restaurants and stuff without having to leave the premises. Other hotels soon as you walk out you are bombarded by people selling so I thought this was worth it if that’s what you’re looking for. Beautiful beaches and the ocean is right down the stairs from the restaurant or other entryways on the property. Breakfast was good with live cooking stations for eggs. Staff was great, very helpful.

I initially had a standard room and once I saw it I upgraded to the pool view, which actually had a partial sea view which was great. Some of the standard rooms way on the backside so personally didn’t like due to a small window and not much natural light. But the room was fine otherwise. Nungwi’s is very touristy so people selling and wanting contributions for entertainment is frequent. But they aren’t allowed to sell on the property. But if you’re eating near the Oceanside of the restaurant balcony they may yell up asking something, which isn’t that bad though.

The staff were very helpful and very well coming. The property is located on the beach front as advertised and presents easy access to the beach activities. For the price and what services one receives, I would highly recommend.

This has nothing to do with the property but just as a general review, there is too much street vending around Nungwi area and one cannot have a peaceful walk around the area.

Our second stay at this resort and even better than last year. Nice bungalow room with lovely well kept grounds with plants and flowers. Room had a fridge and a fan and Aircon which was coolish but not fully effective although it was fairly quiet. Liked the 2 bottles of water supplied daily.. Excellent restaurant even better than last year with the addition of a BBQ grill serving fresh fish and seafood all at reasonable prices. Fantastic staff, from the super friendly cleaning girls, pool man, waiters, waitresses and chefs, all a credit to the business. Lovely big pool, and loved the cocktail happy hour. Perfect location too on the best beach in Nungwi. Liked the private safety deposit boxes, very useful.

Didn't like the very hard uncomfortable bed. Bathroom was very old and needed an upgrade, the bathroom shelf was sloped so you couldn't put anything on it, and the sink was not attached to the floor, so wobbled every time we used it! Didn't like the pool closing so early at 6pm, at least extend usage until 7pm at the end of happy hour, or even better until sunset. Not enough sunbeds and umbrellas but loads of space to put more. Always had to wait until someone left to get one. Everyone was huddled under the trees for shade as not enough umbrellas. Beer was always too warm, sometimes cool, but never cold which was a shame.

The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so welcoming always so willing to help. I felt at ease going to ask for help. As a solo traveler I kept asking for their assistance with taxi's etc and they assisted me each time with such willingness. The room was beautiful, a little dated but the view was what I was after and it certainly did not disappoint. I loved that was a power point outside on the patio so I could sit outside and charge my phone. It was very peaceful but very vibey at the same time, music and people chatting gave it a lively feel which I enjoyed. The room is on the water, it was incredible.

The beach area at Amaan doesn't have their own beach chairs which I didn't like. We pay alot for the accommodation at a beach resort, I think beach chairs on the beach should be a necessity for their guests. The beach chairs on the other side is apparently for rent according to a "beach boy" and he requested I pay tzs 30 000 to him, there is no office or anything that I can go rent them from. I obviously refused and opted to sit on the sand instead. I think more control of the beach boys around the resort beach area would be nice. As a solo female traveler I could not enjoy the beach at Amaan.

The one and only hotel I always stay in! Really even don’t want to put a good review as many people will not come :))) But honestly, everything you need in Zanzibar is just one step around - amazing beach with shadow place, best restaurant just above the ocean, good and clean swimming pool, an excellent service and housekeeping and good rooms itself! Supermarket, souvenir market and local rests are also just in 5 min walk. Abiola and Juma - guys, you are my favourite! Thank you very much for your support and readiness to help during my vacation! Sure I will be back again, don’t forget to prepare a good room as always! Asante sana, Amman beach hotel!
