Gorgeous Dutch castle, original features carefully preserved,outside as well as inside, tastefully complemented with contemporary interior design where needed for functionality. Super terrace to enjoy dinner & breakfast during Summer. The food and wine were excellent and the staff very friendly and happy to tend to all our wishes, remembering our preferences throughout the week we spent there. Our room was a bit old fashioned and in the bathroom we could have done with a set of kitchen steps to enable us to look in the mirror over the wash basin. We were assured this was one of the items on their to-do list (not the steps but the repositioning of the mirror) and I trust some modernisation will have been implemented the next time we stay there.

Nothing, really. Maybe the fact that when we anted to have a little late afternoon snooze there was a bit of noise from an end-of-conference drinks party outside, right under our open window. But then, it was Summer (as in very hot!) and everything was finished around 19:00hrs, so not too disturbing.

The castle is lovely and I loved the sitting area near the bar. Usually hotels in older buildings aren't comfortable, but the room was modern while still keeping the castle charm. The bed was very comfortable (and 1 bed not 2 pushed together), the espresso machine was great, nice shower products, free parking. This is a hotel I'll be recommending!

We loved the quiet location and the super friendly staff. The castle itself has a romantic feel to it. We had drinks around the fire place which was lovely and cozy. The onsite restaurant is fantastic. The food is creative and tasty. Breakfast was not included in the room price but we were glad we had paid extra for it. There isn't a huge choice, but the quality of the breakfast is wonderful. There was oven-fresh bread and pastries, eggs (scrambled as well as two types of boiled eggs), bacon, various types of cheese and cold cuts as well as muesli options with yoghurt and (plant based) milk. They served fresh orange juice/ tea/ great coffee. Highly recommend having dinner in the restaurant too. Absolutely delicious, Michelin star quality.

The quality of the mattress and the pillows wasn't great. The mattress in our first room was lumpy and one pillow was too big, the other too soft consisting of little pieces of foam - or at least that's how it felt. After a night of hardly any sleep, we were transferred to another room with two separate mattresses which was better. However, the pillows still weren't great. Also, the shower had a curtain instead of a door which I felt could be less hygienic if not cleaned after every guest. However, the curtain did look clean so it may just have been the thought of it. If the beds and pillows had been better I would have rated this property a 9 or maybe even a 10.

Restaurant and facilities in the lobby are super cozy The comfort room is spacious with comphortable bad.

No all the rooms are quite although the location is very quite. We upgraded the room as our was with the window to the roof where all the ventilation tubes are quite noisy. The floor in the bathroom is very cold and there is no sleepers.

A hotel with a beautiful historical atmosphere. You feel yourself in a small castle. Especially the New Year decorations were magnificent. It's like relaxing by the fireplace at Hogwarts.

It's beautiful but really expensive. Good for a special celebration but expensive for a long stay. And unfortunately doesn’t have an elevator.

The kasteel created a lovely ambiance but the staff made the stay fantastic: friendly, helpful, and really there for the guests. I also recommend the restaurant.

The staff at this location are wonderful, attentive, helpful, and caring. Breakfast in the castle was amazing. The fairytale setting inside and out. Staff went above and beyond for my husband and I.

Parking can be difficult due to weddings, and/or meetings. No elevator (traversing the stairs can be tricky). Housekeeping services start extremely early.

The warmth of a well maintained and comfortable old castle. The location is off center, but it works. The tasting dinner was perfect with seamless service. Excellent staff overall.

The shower set up is a bit difficult but I guess we don't want to interfere with heritage.

The food in the evening. Asparagus wow. Great wine list. A list for every wallet. Breakfast well worth the 22e p.p.

The width of the bed in room 19. 70 or 80 cm p.p. doesn't cut it.
