Was a short 10-minute walk from the Goryokaku fort, and has a fair amount of nearby restaurants. Can reach it easily from the Hakodate station while taking the tram/trolly to reach it. My building still has a laundry and kitchen, and laundry is free to use with available detergent (but the dryer is absolutely weak, I couldn't dry my jeans). Staff is very accommodating, and check in and out was easy with the kiosk, but can also be done directly with staff. They provide some extra amenities by the reception. Breakfast was free with my stay, by obtaining a ticket at the kiosk you can grab breakfast on the 1st floor eatery which is pretty nice and substantial (typical Japanese breakfast). TVs are new, and connectable with multiple streaming platforms including Netflix, Prime, and YouTube.

Didn't realize my room would be in the second building/annex next door, which is a bummer since they keep the breakfast area and sauna room in the main building with the reception (only a bother during the winter since it's tough to walk out into the cold if not properly dressed). Room and building are pretty old and could be renovated, otherwise it's all clean. A lot of the building seems to be worn down as they have plastic tarps around blocking/protecting certain parts which makes it look bad, but not an obstacle. Kitchen in the annex was pretty small, and only 2x washers and dryers to use. Room is a bit small, but was fine for me being solo.

The rooms have enough space and the spa (showers and sauna) was great. Plus, they switch the man/woman sides from morning to evening, so you get to experience both spaces. The lounge is so comfortable and relaxing. Laundromats are free. Overall, good value for money and quite close to Goryokaku Park.

The rooms could do with a bit more fresh air. Some parts of the building seem quite old. Breakfast was underwhelming (lots of meat), but it's also free, so... gift horses, mouths and all that.

The room is clean and comfortable, the facility and amenities provided are more than enough at such a price, and it was great to be able to access the sauna during late hours and relax after a whole day of exploring the city. Even when I arrived 30 mins before the end of breakfast time (sorry everyone), there were always food and drinks, and it's such a healthy Japanese brekfast.

The room I booked is located in the Annex, which is separate from the main building, where the breakfast is also provided. This can be a bit uncomfortable in the winter as you cannot just walk outside in your pajama for breakfast but put on your coat, shoes, just to get breakfast--not ideal for a lazy morning. Not sure if there are any connecting passage from the annex to the main building, but I was not aware of any. Just to be informed for people booking rooms that may be located in the Annex. The toilet in my room also does not have a bidet (NOT a complaint! I am fine without it, but I know people who might mind having a toilet without a bidet, so might be good if the hotel can also include this in the room info as an advance warning for people who want to book).

Very spacious and clean room! Really relaxing staying in this place. Will recommend! Free shared washer and dryers.

There are 2 free washers and dryers to be shared by all guests. The dryer requires 2 hrs to fully dry your clothes. Sugggestion to hotel to provide drying racks for guests to use the dryer to 70% dry their clothes and lay them out on drying racks in their rooms. Else the guests will be struggling with just 2 dryers.

One of the best surprise of our trip in Hakodate, huge room , full services... I booked one night only and when I asked if I could extend our stay, I ve been told that the second night would be four times the price than initially booked. This is the magic from internet world, when you don't book through the sites that take commissions, plus bank fees etc, when you go directly, it s a rob !

We chose the hotel because of the sauna and were not disappointed! Amazing facilities to use and relax each day. The staff were friendly and very helpful answering questions. Within walking distance of Goryokaku and easy access for trams and busses to the south of the city.

Very nice facilities with free shared laundry machines, free drinks, free spa, and free breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. English is a bit of a challenge but with translation software it's manageable. Great value for what you get!

Location is a bit far from the Hakodate JR station.

The spa room is excellent and a reasonable price with breakfast. The room is spotless though quite old and building itself, nevertheless, a well maintained property ( I was allocated in annex building ).

nothing, at all apart from I need walk outside for the spa room because I was allocated in the annex building but for the price I paid with breakfast it doesn't really matter.

Pretty standard hotel

There was some piano music playing in the hallway from like 5 am to 9 pm or so. Could be heard faintly in the room. Not loud enough to keep you awake of course.
