This is a nice modern apartment located in a area with no much traffic, yet conveniently close to restaurants and just a 15-minute walk to the train station. The larger room features a bunk bed, the bedroom is small, but has a comfortable bed. The bathroom is really nice as well. The owner is very friendly, making communication a breeze. It’s a traditional skinny house, so be prepared to navigate two sets of narrow stairs.

It’s not related to the apartment, more to the area: the seagulls were so loud that they woke me up the first morning.

The place is truly wonderful and a joy to stay in. Everything is in working order and the space was extremely clean. I also love the location as it was just a 10 minute walk from the busy downtown area, but in a quieter residential area. Lastly, the host (Sander) was responsive and provided recommendations on how we could enjoy the area more fully. I highly recommend this place for your next visit to Haarlem. Plus, it's just a 15 minute train ride to Amsterdam.

Beautiful little apartment in a quiet and pretty area of Haarlem. Easy stroll into the centre of this beautiful little city. We also walked to the station and got the fast train into Amsterdam- really easy and much nicer than staying there! Spotlessly clean and great facilities- the bathroom is fantastic with a huge bath and really good shower. Lovely sunset view over the rooftops. Great and thoughtful communications with the host, who gave great tips for parking and local restaurants. We only stayed 2 nights but would have liked to be here longer to cycle to the beaches and explore more of Haarlem. Perfect for our family of 4- we were comfortable and happy and appreciated all the thought that has gone into making this a great place to stay. Thanks for having us!

Nothing to report! Traditional steep stairs were expected and not a problem. Warm in the apartment but can open all windows for a lovely through breeze and fans provided.

The accommodation was very well situated with easy access to the town of Haarlem and all other facilities. It was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The host was very friendly, easy to contact and provided useful information. He even helped us to get our suitcases up and down the steep stairs on arrival and departure

Not an issue as the host helped us, but be aware that, as mentioned by others, the stairs were very steep.

The Rose was in a great location, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be. The property itself was lovely - we liked the simple but chic style. The kitchen had everything we needed and the shower and bath were amazing. A very comfortable bed. It was very quiet - no street or neighbour noise.

I know many reviewers have mentioned the steepness and narrowness of the stairs. We agree with the description but didn’t find this a problem. It’s very typical of Dutch buildings I believe. We have nothing negative to say about the property - we loved it.

Lovely host and great communication, well thought through and everything needed for a short stay, coffee machine was good and small kitchenette. Haarlem is lovely and an escape from the crazy Amsterdam

A beautiful, upstairs apartment, with all amenities, situated in a lovely residential area, just round the corner and over the bridge into the town of Haarlem. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to put the name plate above the doorbell as there is 2 number 8s. Other than that would 100% recommend Sanders apartment when considering a trip to Amsterdam.

It was an excellent location and easy to walk or take a bus or train to other places.We could relax and take in sights in Haarlem. The friendly and informative owner was very accommodating.

The location was really good. Fantastic bath just what we needed after cycling and camping. Everything we needed to cook and the washer and dryer were a big bonus.

The key to the door was tricky a neighbour unlocked the door. Those coffee machines are amazing if you know how to use them. For those that don't it would be nice to be left instructions.

Great comfortable little apartment had almost everything you need. Good communication from host.

Unfortunately the hobs had been removed, was notified beforehand but made cooking a bit hard but we got by. Also the stairs up are a bit of a killer especially with luggage but once you make it, it is worth it
