Our host Jean - Christophe was very welcoming and took the trouble to chat to us at every opportunity. The setting was peaceful and the house decor very eclectic. The location is close to the train station for getting into Poitier, but far enough away not to cause any disturbance. The parking in the house grounds is also good. The breakfast was simple but excellent.

We would have preferred a door on the toilet/bathroom. The garden furniture could have been a bit more useable.

Very friendly host. A very large and clean room. Very nice and very tastefully decoration. Very good bed. A safe place in a locked garage for our bicycles. Good breakfast. It was possible to have a late check out so we could sit out the rain.

Late check in. But there is a very nice restaurant l’auberge de l’Abbaye at Nouaillé-Maupertuis we’re we first had dinner. So it was not really a problem.

We were made very welcome. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, comfortable and contained everything we needed. Also it is on the ground floor and has its own door so access is very easy. Our host kindly made a dinner reservation for us at a nearby restaurant and breakfast was perfect.

I received a warm welcome from the host, he even booked a table at a local restaurant for me. He left me to get on with my evening and I next saw him at breakfast. The room was superb, very peaceful and I slept in the most comfortable bed of the whole 3 week trip. Breakfast was excellent.

Slightly too far to cycle for the evening meal having spent all day on the bike but if you’re in a car then it’s 5 minutes.

Host very welcoming and proud of his lovely home and gardens. Very comfortable room & bed also with kettle, tea/coffee. Private access to the room and garden. Breakfast was lovely Will return if in the area again

A beautifully restored house set in a very tranquil garden. Location very easy to find. very close to Poitiers for dinner. very large bedroom with a very comfy bed. very good shower. The bedroom has everything we needed for a restful night’s sleep. The breakfast was fresh and perfect to start the day and was served at a time of our choosing. Really good coffee. The owner was friendly and could not have been more helpful. This Chambre d’hotes is a gem and ideal for breaking a journey through France or Onward to Spain. Highly recommended.

Lovely chambre d'hotes in a rural location close to the site of the 1356 battle. The host was really helpful, booked a restaurant for me and his English was good. The room was spacious and the en suite great. Very quiet after some of my city visits. Free car parking on site and the included breakfast was a good start to the day.
