This was a great find! Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is clean, lovely bedding and towels and a good value continental breakfast for €6.90. Two minutes off the A10 it was a perfect stopover after a long day travelling. First impressions of the location are strange as it is basically in the middle of an industrial estate but don't let that put you off! It has a nice, quirky outdoor space and it felt very safe leaving our loaded car there overnight. As we were tired and didn't want to venture out too far for food, Claude the host recommended Au Top du Roulier, just around the corner, where all the truck drivers eat, and what a great experience that was! Three courses, as much as you could eat for €14! And €2 for half a litre of very drinkable wine! All in all a great night's stopover!

Initially dubious about the location but all doubts promptly dismissed as soon as we entered the hotel.

We had to leave a €100 euro deposit for our small pet travelling with us, we had not read or knew about this policy the hotel practices. I was a bit shocked as this is an obscene amount of money just to hold onto in case your pet damages anything. The description states pet friendly, so I booked knowing I can be rest assured my pet is welcomed @ this facility. In our case our pet has his own travel essentials needed to spend an evening in any accommodation without upsetting the facilities standard package set up for it’s guests. We are respectful of the accommodations we stay @, and know that not everyone likes pets. So we try our best to keep our pet on his best behaviour @ all times.

This is a classic modern French budget hotel. Simple, but very clean, comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier, what a lovely welcome! Initially, I was a little dismayed by the location in what is basically a large industrial estate on the outskirts of the city, but I soon found that there is a good selection of eateries and bars within a 10-minute walk. I quickly found a restaurant-cum craft brewery called 'Les 3 Brasseurs', which offers a great selection of fabulous beer and what I call 'comfort food' (my choice was a goat cheese and honey flammekueche – wonderful!). Seriously, for an overnight stop on the long drive from Andalucia back to the UK, this couldn't have been better. Breakfast was great too.

I was completely happy with all aspects, I really cannot find fault with this little hotel. It was pretty busy, too, which said a lot. Mainly French cars in the car park, but a few miscellaneous others (including mine). This is far from negative!

It is the best place to stay when we travel to the south west of France. Poitiers is literally on the route and it takes only a few extra minutes to reach Mac Bed. Next to the hotel, there is a Routiers restaurant, for truckers. Plenty of good food for a very reasonable price! This was the third time we stayed at Mac Bed and will return if we go again to the same area on vacation. The owner, Claude, is very friendly.

A lovely welcome when we arrived very late in the evening- the gentleman on duty was very welcoming and hospitable. Great location off the motorway for people breaking up a long drive. Beds were unbelievably comfortable - great mattresses. Excellent value for money.

Nothing - better than we expected for what we paid.

It was good and room for our car parking. The cost were good. Also the large bed was great and comfortable, no back pains and slept well, thanks Claude you were right!!

Just that our room was up the stairs which gave my partner a slight struggle, as he had recently had a Hip replacement.

It is very convenient for our overnight stop on the way home from Spain. Not the first time we have stayed here. Always clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, and the staff are always pleasant. We travel with our dog, who is made welcome, as long as you abide by the rules, and she stays free of charge, which is a bonus. We intend to return next year.

Nothing to dislike, you pay for what you get.

The staff were truly exceptional, as we had issues in our travel, and arrived very late. They stayed up to ensure we arrived safely, and sent e-mails to family to inform them. The room was comfortable, and the continental breakfast was enjoyable. We had a good night's sleep and continued our journey as planned (the hotel is conveniently close to the motorway).

It can be a bit tricky following the satnav to get to the hotel, but that is not an issue for the hotel. The roundabouts are a bit confusing!

Booked last minute and booked initially on price as the usual go to Campaniles in this area were either booked up or really overpriced on the date I needed. The hotel was a couple of minutes away after the toll booth exit and easy to get to. First impressions of the area weren't great, usual industrial estate location most of these motels are located in but don't let that put you off if you're after a place just to sleep. Parking area felt safe, the reception guy was really friendly and helpful 👍 The room even though it was small was comfortable, warm, very clean and not run down which many of the motorway motels are, bathroom surprisingly spacious. Once inside the room it was very quiet and I didn't hear doors slamming etc, slept really well as did my dogs!!

A kettle, yes & coffee would be nice.

Room had most things I need. Ground floor room with no stairs to climb. Car parking off the road.

Proprietor made a big fuss about charging me the local tourist tax 0.70cents separately, they had already charge online for the room! Wifi had doggy login, but proprietary insisted my iphone at fault. Room had no natural sunlight so felt cold. Hotel next to a lorry Park so restaurant /bar next door had seating where you had to sit at same table, like being back at school.
