Let’s start with the lady in reception, what a lovely person. So helpful, so informative, great suggests on where to eat and what to do. The room: As someone has commented before, she has thought of everything. Having stayed before and after in similar priced motels this property stands out. Milk in a bottle, a cafeteria, hair straighteners, ample tea and coffee, hot chocolate. The bed was comfy and there were 2 pillows each. The blinds and curtains make this room dark for sleeping. Despite being on the road I didn’t hear any noise. You park in front of your room which is convenient. It’s a short and flat walk into town. Maybe 15 mins.

The entry door is a sliding patio door so if you have the privacy blind pulled it’s hard to exit. Minor point.

The accommodation was exceptional. We arrived early morning and even though we were unable to checkin and there was a broken down vehicle in our parking space the proprietor was most apologetic and did everything to help us park safely close to the property. We had an amazing welcome and as we were going on a cycling tour and unable to unpack, we were offered sunscreen. Amazing. The room was decorated exceptionally tastefully, and we were made so welcome - home from home. We spent six weeks touring New Zealand and this property was one of the best we stayed at. We will return in the future. Thank you

First, Yvonne the proprietor was so kind and communicative about our check-in process, and then very helpful with suggestions in the area and even helped us book a dinner reservation. The room was thoughtfully equipped - bathroom amenities, good room lighting, and especially the kitchenette with plenty of supplies. The room was very comfortable. The shared patio space was also lovely - a great spot for an evening wine-down (it’s wine country!) and just enjoying the sounds of nature in the region. We also appreciated that each unit had its own parking spot - many other lodges on our road trip did not have guaranteed parking (which is challenging for motor lodges!). We enjoyed our stay very much - thank you Yvonne for the hospitality!

We loved the attention to detail that the owners used at the property. They took pride in keeping the place clean, tidy and comfortable. The kitchenette was well equiped for everything we needed for our long stay. All the furnishings and toiletries were of high quality. We felt right at home and Yvonne was wonderful and extremely helpful in providing suggestions for wineries, restaurants and cafes in Blenheim.

Everything was perfect. The owners took immense pride in the property and this was reflected in a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

What a beautiful suprise Two Tree Lodge was. The kind hosts knew we were arriving late on a chilly night and put the lights and heat pump on for us! The room is beautifully decorated, with everything we needed and more. The decor is so tasteful and calming. I have never stayed in a motel that also had a hair-straightener, awesome! There was a glass bottle of milk and a chilled glass bottle of water awaiting in the fridge. A welcome suprise. Lock-box entry was so convenient and communication with the hosts was so easy and fast. I would absolutely stay again. The newly renovated bathroom is gorgeous and it has an amazing shower. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

shower water went everywhere under the curtain and it didn't seem the extractor fan was working. I forgot to mention it to the owner but I will do so. I didn't notice there was a ramp to the office door as I was looking at the Dropbox for key and nearly went for a sixer over the ledge - painting it white will catch older folks' eye.

Yvonne was exceptionally welcoming on arrival, providing considerable relevant detail regarding the accommodation and surrounding area. The room was very tastefully decorated and spacious, containing comfortable furnishings, a table from which work could be completed, a large comfortable bed and a very well supplied kitchenette. The bathroom was large and modern, containing a decent-sized shower unit and a basin cabinet enabling personal toiletries to be placed. Cannot wait for another excuse to require accommodation in Blenheim again.

Yvonne is the sweetest person who goes above and beyond! She gave us good recommendations about surroundings and sent us back the airpod we forgot at her place! The unit was big and perfect for our family of 4! We had dinner at the patio every night. They have washing machine and dryer which came very handy while we are on roadtrip

The mattress was too soft for our liking but this is personal preference

It looks 'standard' on the outside, but the owners have taken the time and expense to make it much more than 'standard'. This was a modern family suite with up-market facilities: great air conditioning, a fridge better than the one at home, very comfortable bed, and the full range of Sky channels. The host (Yvonne) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was a pity we had an early ferry to catch and I would have like to have stayed longer.

Only one tiny niggle. The large pillows were squeezed into standard sized pillowcases, making them very hard and high. I took the pillowcase off, enabling me to squidge up the pillow to my liking. (I've had the same problem at home, which was solved by buying larger pillowcases.)

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left (sadly), everything was just truly wonderful. The owners are lovely people and gave us great ideas for places to eat, etc. The studio (studio 5) was deathly quiet, couldn't believe it as the motel is on a fairly busy road. It contained all the essentials for our 2 night stay, was very stylishly decorated with a small private outdoor area. We would thoroughly recommend this incredible place if you are passing through Blenheim.
