It is a really charming hotel just steps from the Basilica. Our room had king sized bed in one half and a sofa bed in the other which was perfect for traveling with our 16 year old. We loved the staff and everything was very comfortable. It was so peaceful and quiet at night while lively during the day. The wifi was perfect! It’s located in a ZTL, but you can pull your car up to drop your bags near the front before parking in a nearby garage.

One caution, there are a few sets of stairs as is typical in Italy and didn’t bother us, but if you have mobility issues it might make a difference.

This hotel is absolutely one the best rests or posts we have ever seen. Nice, clean and elegant place to spend time at Assisi. Bed and sack were really fine and comfortable, and the situation of La Sorella Luna near and just about Basilica San Francesco is perfect. It was really nice and easy to start walking tours around Assisi from there. All the beautiful bars, shops and restaurants are near. Ooh La Sorella Luna, what a wonderful place with nice and friendly staff.

Possibly the personal could ask if the visitors would like to take one more cup of capucchino at morning.

This is my Third time staying in this Hotel 🏨 It has a Central Location. It is Absolutely Spotless. All the Receptionists at the Desk are Very Friendly Knowledgeable and Helpful. The Breakfast is Great the usual Continental and Hot Breakfast Lot's to Choose from. I would have No Hesitation in Recommending this Hotel

Nothing I Love ❤️ this Hotel

The location of this quaint little historic hotel was excellent. It is steps from the Basilica San Francesco and also along the main street in town with the many restaurants and shops. We had opted for a junior suite (even though there was just two of us) to give ourselves more room to spread out. We are very glad we did as we had a sitting room in addition to the bedroom and an extra closet. The breakfast was included and had a nice variety of offerings. Front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant.

There was no elevator and no bellhop. So my husband had to carry our very heavy luggage up the outside stairs to the hotel lobby area, and then up to the second floor where our room was located. At our age (70's) we have to remember to ask this question whenever we book future hotel stays.

Friendly staff, clean and ideal location. Staff named Allesendro was a helpful with carrying our bags. Another staff (can’t remember his name- male and bearded) was helpful in making all the transport arrangements.

The steep stairs up to the lobby of the hotel. But this is personal. The steps had a good aesthetic to it though.

The staff made me feel at home. Sara, Silvia and Alessandro were absolutely great: friendly, understanding and so helpful. Thank you guys. Very good breakfast, good size room/ bathroom and very clean. Location great: near restaurants and San Francisco church.

The many steps to get to the property but I guess it cannot be helped as the building is vintage and kept its charm.

Very steep and lots of steps. I had to carry my suitcase up from street when I arrived. Hotel receptionist carried it down when I left. I wish I’d had instructions to call reception when I arrived, for help with baggage.

Tucked away, up a short stairwell, behind the bustle of shops near the St Francis Basilica, Hotel Sorella Luna has an immediate charm, fitting for the beautiful historic town. The charming and friendly staff were more than welcoming, considering that our flight to Perugia was diverted to Rome, meaning that we only arrived in Assisi very late, just before reception closed. The room had comforting decor, and faced the main street, allowing for fleeting views over the rooftops to part of the Umbrian landscape. We were greeted by an ample sized bed, a long desk, shelves, hangers, a safe and minibar, and the underfloor heating soothed our feet as we slipped on the complimentary slippers. The bathroom was equipped with a bidet and hairdryer, and a small set of soap, body wash and shower caps. The shower was deliciously warm, especially after a long journey. An important note for many international travellers: you will not find a tea/coffee/kettle set in the rooms, however the minibar was packed with snacks and drinks, which are paid for at the end of your stay. The bed and pillow were comfortable. The mattresses may feel like it is too firm initially, but it is memory foam and it will soften down after a few minutes, so just bear with it and you will sleep like a log. Breakfast is served in a room just outside the main door, up some short steps. The staff were happy to make fresh coffee. A small, but sufficient, selection of items were available each day: scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, breads, cereals, croissants, cake/pie, juices and fruit. Note: For those who have gluten intolerance, they also offered a selection of gluten-free items including muesli, biscuits, rice cakes and chocolate wafers. Wi-fi was available throughout the hotel, and the reception area was warm and welcoming, with details of the activities at the main historical sites in the town. Great location, in a charming town.

This is not the most accessible hotel, as there are stairs up to reception, stairs to the breakfast room, and stairs to almost all rooms. We spotted an accessible entrance on the last day, but did not ask about it. To access the breakfast room, you need to leave the reception and walk outside for just a few seconds, which can be slippery when it is raining, so caution is needed. Important note, not related to the hotel, but as a caution as not everyone will be aware: Assisi itself is not the most accessible town... It has narrow cobble/stone streets, and most roads have an incline. The town is beautiful and charming, but do plan well if you have accessibility needs. If you struggle, but can still tolerate some steps, it is a great hotel to stay in.

Beautiful building, well maintained. Lovely decor, excellent shower and aircon. Well placed for the Basilica and also for the centre of town as long as you can make it up the hill.

I booked as a single person. I didn’t mind that the room was small but the bed was very small, like a student room bed. It was comfortable though.

Quiet location on the edge of town, set in interesting grounds. Good restaurant on site. Helpful staff, especially when we couldn't find the hotel, in the hire car (one road was closed due to roadworks).

We needed better driving directions to the hotel - we got lost in the narrow streets!
