The Landlady was very pleasant and helpful, check in is at 4pm and she was right on time, showed us to our room and explained the features. view from the room was of the courtyard, the water pressure and temperature was more than needed. The bathroom was modern and clean, the room is located in a public house and the bar was friendly and had a good selection of local beers.

Can't say I found anything wrong with this hotel considering it's over 200 years old.

Excellent location. Comfortable room with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Small ensuite shower which was nicely decorated. Owner was friendly and accommodating. Replied promptly to my enquiries and let us park the car before check in time. She also accommdated our late check in.

Poor shower head, which was clean, but in need of descalling. Sink plug hole also in need of a deep clean. No food provided and closed early evening.

Stopped off on the way back from South Wales, friendly greeting and shown to our rooms which were very spacious and comfortable. We were in the top room, other family member in single room overlooking the street. The hotel is in a central location in the lovely village of Ellesmere, with free parking and a good selection of beers. There are several eating places for dinner and more or less next door, an excellent cafe where we had breakfast.

Everything fine. Would go again.

Location is excellent, large cheap carpark directly behind the hotel. Staff were friendly. Twin room was good, although the floor isn't level (it is an old building after all), this actually added to the ambiance, as we felt drunk and laughed at ourselves trying to stay upright. The beds were extremely comfortable and we both slept soundly. You may get some disruption from the karaoke noise downstairs, but it's quiet once this stops, so maybe just go down, enjoy a drink and join in and sleep when the place shuts. There are plenty of takeaways and shops around for food. In our room, they provided: towels (no flannels), body wash, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer and TV. We'd stay again

No flannels Only one chair for two people room. Nowhere to place your toiletries in the bathroom. Same for nowhere to place and open your case apart from the bed or floor

The location was wonderful. Staff were very accommodating to our needs. The staff took extra care to help find our lost boot so that we could retrieve it prior to our Narrowboat trip.

Super comfortable beds and good size shower with strong water pressure.

Centrally situated in the middle of town with own private parking. We had a room right at the top of the building which was a good size with a newly fitted bathroom and shower. Our hosts were very welcoming although we did not see much of them as no breakfast is provided.

The heating in the room did not appear to be switched on but when we mentioned this to the cleaner a portable heater appeared in our room that night!

Location is fantastic, right in the centre of the town with adjacent car park, friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Very reasonable rates.

The only thing that could have been better was the shower in the bathroom wasn't great.

Centrally located in the midst of the small town, very close to shops and food of various kinds

Noisy birds on the roof were annoying

Was out with my band. We needed beds and a place to get cleaned up. Everything we wanted was there.

Very little contact with any actual staff

Lovely host, very helpful and we really liked the attic room 😊 it's a nice building, and a good selection in the bar.

There was a 30th birthday party when we stayed and although it was explained and we didn't mind at all, the music was very loud and went on abit later than we were expecting.
