Bed was comfy. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was hot and enjoyable, plenty of choice.

Road noise in odd numbered rooms. Had to fill kettle from the bath tap because kettle doesn`t fit under tap in basin.

Room was spacious and well thought out. It was split into two floors so parent could sleep seperate from the kids. The bathroom was big and clean. Last week the place we. Stayed had a shower and you could see into it from the bed.. So this felt luxury.. It really was like a small flat. Generous tea/coffee supplies. The place we stayed last week didn't even have a kettle so this was great.

TV wasn't setup to be used,. Was only one night so didn't bother. Bedding was just white, would have liked a pattern or a colour. Lacked aircon but didn't seem overly hot despite this.

We booked a King Double room, as it was the only one available for our date. The room actually had a mezzanine floor with the bed upstairs, and a very comfortable living space with sofa, chairs and table underneath. We were not expecting that, and it was a real bonus for us. Watched some of Wimbledon from the comfort of a sofa, and also it was probably the hottest day of the year so we appreciated being able to leave our windows open all night upstairs, which we wouldn't have done on the ground floor. Would definitely ask for this room again on a future visit! Many thanks

After switching rooms, I had adequate wifi and also a phone signal. The room was very clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Adequate toilet roll and shower gel was provided.

Wifi did not work in my room downstairs and there was no mobile phone signal. The member of staff on duty did his best to sort this out by resetting the router, trying a plug-in extension but nothing worked. In the end, I switched rooms to go upstairs where the signal was fine. The management need to sort this out though because it's crucial to have wifi in all rooms when in an area where the phone signal doesn't work.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Helpful staff and very large rooms. The very large TV lounge (yes there are tv's in the rooms also) is an absolute gem. Fitted out with a microwave, condiments crockery and (wooden) cutlery it was so nice to be able to heat a ready meal and eat at the table in the room ot if there is a group of you in the actual lounge itself. On asking I was invited to just leave dirty crockery and any rubbish outside the room and the night porter took it away and even washed up. This place is such a gem I am surprised it wasn't chock a block full. Lucky us I say.

Nothing to dislike

Clearly freshly painted, so nice and clean...good sized rooms (28, 29), good sized and comfy bed...nice and warm. Ample parking. To say this was off-season, we were well catered for.

It felt a little strange to be the only car in the car park and the only diners at breakfast. This is not a criticism because much accommodation hasn't recovered from Covid and they need to keep an eye on costs. In view of this, whilst we felt as though we were imposing, the stay was very pleasant. Visits to the local pubs promoted surprise that the hotel was even open. Perhaps reduce the 'CLOSED' sign over the restaurant or place an 'OPEN' sign over the hotel entrance.

Initially, the location, the room was clean, without any rough edge's, airy, and spacious. Bathroom was also very clean with a bath mat as standard, the last place I stayed at the bath mat was on request. Friends of mine who stayed as well, in a different room had no complaints. The only criticism was the tv remote was a bit dubious, could have done with a clean. Would book again

Looked like whole hotel had been redecorated, public areas very neat and tidy. Both room itself and bathroom were very spacious and homely, loads of storage, spotlessly clean. Nice to have 2 chairs and a proper table. PG Tips teabags. Location surprisingly quiet despite proximity to A5. Not a holiday hotel, but a great overnight stop. We self-catered for breakfast but there is cafe in next-door garden centre if you don't need an early start, or don't want to use hotel's breakfast facility (must pre-order by 8pm previous night)

Car park needs better lighting. Bed was comfy but had bit of a dip. Need to turn radiator off at bedtime otherwise room gets very hot.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was great. There was a lot of traffic noise throughout the night as the hotel is situated just by a bypass. The breakfast was good. It's a shame that the restaurant is closed other than serving breakfast. The receptionist was very welcoming and cheerful but after that we didn't see any staff member other than at breakfast. There is a large carpark The hotel is convenient and easy to find. It is close to many National Trust properties, and the lovely Chirk Aquaduct is just down the road.

The traffic noise.

We had a very pleasant stay. Room, locations and breakfast was very good. One of the hotels technicians was so very helpful , exceeding any guest's expectations. We were travelling with our expensive bicycles chained into our van and had lost the key to one of our locks, so could not use the bikes. The technician provided us with electrical power to the van and helped us to cut through the lock with an angle grinder, effectively saving our biking holiday. Thank you very, very much.
