The cowshed is in a stunning location up on the hill just outside of Llangollen. The road up the street is a little rocky so if like us you had a hire car you may want to go very slow. The room itself surpassed expectations it was beautiful! The bed was comfy, there were lovely chairs to lounge in and read and the terrace had a little table and chairs if you wanted to sit outside or have breakfast out there. The owner, was so friendly offering recommendations for food and they brought breakfast (croissants, toast, fruit, yoghurt and orange juice) which was an unexpected bonus. For me the highlight was the bath, it is a delight and a nice way to relax at the end of the day. If I were back in the area I would stay here again without hesitation.

Room was amazing. Bathroom and tub, which ngl was one of the main reasons I booked it, were 5 star. Plenty of choice for hot drinks and the breakfast was tasty. Really nice family who owned the place too.

The drive up to the accommodation is not suitable for smaller or 'city cars', or any with a low undercarriage or wide berth. Had a really difficult time getting up and down it without completely damaging my undercarriage especially as the 'road' is very uneven. As it is have scratched one side of the car badly in the attempt. Also it was pitch black at night and not something I wanted to try in the dark which meant walking in the dark down an unfamiliar canal to get to the closest eating place (Bring a torch). Wear reflective clothing as you have to cross a fast road 4 times and I felt very unsafe and invisible trying to do this.

Just stunning! Lovely room and superb bathroom. Beautifully presented. The outside table and chairs with a fabulous view were a bonus. Parking was easy, with an allocated space. We did not order breakfast but took cheeses and stuff ourselves. Great to have the use of a proper sized fridge and freezer in the nearby outhouse. Check in was easy and flexible to suit our travel plans. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay near Llangollen. Thank you. We will return!

Absolutely beautiful accommodation with a wonderful scenic view. The room was beautifully presented, clean and looked after. Lots of extra little details made The Cowshed a great place to relax for our weekend break! Thank you for an awesome stay!

There is nothing not to like about this place, all i would say is bring thick socks or slippers as the carpet is quite an unusual sensation on the feet! Maybe we are too sensitive 😂

The Cowshed was exceptional! The conversion from cowshed to abode is so well done. The furnishings are very comfortable, and the soaking tub and shower in the huge bathroom (with radiant heat) are over the top incredible. The location is great......with the tow path along the canal located across the street from the driveway. Walking into town or to the aqueduct is so easy

We loved everything.

The location was great. It was very peaceful and had an amazing view . It was my birthday and we enjoyed walking along the canal to the Sun Trevor pub and had an excellent meal. The cowshed was lovely inside and had everything you needed. The bathroom was beautiful and the bath was my favourite feature. Breakfast was delicious. I would return here again for a relaxing break

Everything was fantastic. Tasteful and comfortable with all the little touches you needed. The bathroom was amazing and the view from the wonderful bath spectacular. An easy drive to Llangollen but a bus stop just up the road. Wonderful views, with a table and chair outside to enjoy them, and good advice from a really friendly host.

Nothing . My only regret was that we couldn’t get a second night because it was already booked out.

The location was perfect. It was so central to everything. Whether you wanted a walk along the canal or a day out in Llangollen. The bath was also so relaxing after an active day and the room was beautiful. We didn't want to leave. Definitely will rebook.

There was nothing not to love about The Cowshed.

The room itself is very welcoming and view is spectacular. The in-room tea and coffee offerings were impressive with a wide variety of choices. The local produce breakfast was incredible. Simon and Sam were amazing hosts, very accommodating, friendly and more than happy to help.

Eating breakfast inside in the not so nice weather, can be a little challenging. The addition of Hot Chocolate to the hot drinks selection would be a great addition.

Absolutely fantastic went for my partners birthday for 2 nights we had the best time here so quiet hosts were so accommodating, clean tidy comfortable amazing views, will be back again, highly recommend
