Gorgeous clean property, the room was spacious, well decorated and has a very comfortable bed. The tea and coffee options in the room were excellent, and there were soft chocolate brownies too! Fresh milk was given in a cool flask ready for a lovely cup of tea in bed to start the day. Due to us coming back later in the evening Michael left some small lights on so we could easily find our way to our room. The host Michael was beyond excellent, he is so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us to help and his communication was exceptional at all times. He gave us great information about the local area and local numbers for taxis etc. The breakfast was also excellent, the options were nearly endless. All of the food was fresh and bursting with flavour. The fresh eggs from his chickens were lovely, I had scrambled on a slice of sour bread and they were fantastic! It was like every little detail was thought of, absolutely excellent. You’ll be tired of hearing the word excellent throughout this review but that what our stay was. We will definitely be back again! Thank you so much for having us Michael!

Nothing, it was perfect!

I initially had to cancel my booking last minute due to transport. I had asked for a refund but had missed their message offering me a luft to and from the sattoon so i wouldnt have to cancel my booking. I did end up traveling to oswestry the following day, I contacted the hosts to see if they would let me stay the following day. They were so accommodating. Michael was very attentive when I arrived, the house was spacious, everything i needed and more in the spacious room. They even gave me a bigger room, at no extra cost as the other one had been booked. Just kind and thoughtful person. What a host should be. !

The only problem was that i could hear the person in the room next to mine chatting until 1am, i had to kindly ask him to lower his voice, which he eventually did after banging on the wall again!

Michael and Gayle were incredibly generous hosts who really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. We were particularly grateful for the pick-up/drop-off service for the Offa’s Dyke Path! Their rooms are very clean and the beds superbly comfortable. We loved the range of tea available and yummy vegan cake provided on arrival. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and this was the only B&B on our trip to offer vegan breakfasts as standard - the scrambled tofu was so good! Oswestry is conveniently located if you’re hiking the ODP, and had a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Nothing - it was all wonderful!

Breakfast was excellent including a lot of home made food such as the bread , home made jam & stewed fruit , their own eggs, fresh milk for all drinks - no plastic which is the best B & B we have stayed in. Car park space on the drive , recommendations for where to eat, a friendly come. The room was spacious and very clean, tv had iplayer which was useful. Quet location , slept really well

We liked everything. The only things we could mention are that the water pressure was slightly low for the shower and for breakfast , to go with the eggs, a few mushrooms or tomatoes would have been nice but really we enjoyed everything about our stay & appreciated all the hard work & time Michael had made to give us such a good break.

All facilities were clean and very well presented. Bed & bedding was lovely and comfy. A vast selection of tea & coffee with biscuits & home made brownies, very nice. Michael was super friendly, attentive and informative of where to eat. Unfortunately We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Gayle on our visit which was a little disappointing but Michael was excellent.

Shower/bathroom was very well presented with fresh soft towels and floor Matt but unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was a little on the low side

We had a lovely welcome when we arrived at Nant Gloyw. We had a big room and an excellent en suite. Delicious cakes and biscuits were provided daily to go with the teas and coffees. A nice touch was the fresh milk and water too. The breakfasts were delicious and the homemade bread was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Michael and this added to make our stay a memorable one.

Excellent communications with the welcoming and helpful proprietors; spacious, very well-appointed and spotlessly clean room with very good en-suite facilities (great shower); quiet; great quality and quantity of vegatarian breakfast - including cereals, fruits, yogurt, etc., toast and spreads, fresh eggs any way you like. This has more the feel of a good boutique hotel than B&B in a private home.

Very uptodate facilities, was like home from home with chickens. My room was a mini suite if I'm honest with settee. I slept really well despite my aching hip. Luvly brownie left for me too, I'm thanking Gayle whom unfortunately I didnt get to meet. I was looked after really well by Michael and the breakfast was luvly, I'm sorry I didn't have a go at everything, but there was plenty of selection. I was visiting the area to attend an appointment at the RAJH,which is not to far, so an ideal option. I wish I could have appreciated the area a bit more, but the weather was nasty. I'm 100% sure I'll be in the area again within 6 months, if I'm needing accommodation I will make Gayle and Michael my first point of call

What a delight to be lucky enough to stay at Michael and Gayle’s lovely home. We couldn’t ask for better from the friendliness of Michael and Gayle who made us feel like old friends to the beautiful spotless room and comfortable bed and pillows. We had lovely cooked breakfast’s in their very nice breakfast room which leads out into their gorgeous garden. It was a shame to have to leave.

No negatives, Loved everything about Nant Gloyw

Our hosts, Michael and Gayle, were fantastic. They couldn't do enough for you. Michael even picked us up from Gobowen train station and took us back there when it was time to leave. Their property is in a nice, quiet area of Oswestry and they have put much thought and care into the place. Our room was very big and had a two seater sofa and straight backed chair which both came in very handy in the evening whilst watching TV etc. The bed itself was very comfortable and the bathroom large and spacious with plenty of room for everything. The breakfasts were really lovely, with a good selection of breads, cereals and homemade jams and preserves and, on top of all that, lovely fresh eggs from their chickens every morning, cooked any way you liked. They have a very nice garden out the back you can sit in too. We wanted to go to the British Ironworks centre, which is quite difficult to get to without a car (we don't drive) but Michael very generously gave us a lift there and even picked us up again later. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would 100% recommend them and their B & B to anyone who is thinking of staying in Oswestry. We would certainly stay there again. :)

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like or would change, it was pretty much perfect. The only slight thing from our point of view as non drivers is it's a bit of a walk from the B & B into town, only a few minutes, but we had glorious weather so coming back, which is a little uphill, was very tiring. However, that's not the B & B's fault, it's just us getting old!
