Everything was perfect— the room and bathroom were spotless. The gentleman who checked us in was outstanding, attentive, and truly enhanced our experience. Given that it’s the only accommodation in the area, everything exceeded our expectations. We also had dinner there, and the food arrived at a great pace, was reasonably priced, and came in generous portions. Additionally, the continental breakfast included in our booking was a pleasant surprise.

Feb 2025 - Location & parking was easy. Welcomed by a lit fire crackling away and pristinley decorated lounge area, making a great first impression - so important. Room appears newly decorated / well maintained. We ate downstairs in the evening and the food quality was incredible - we were stuffed! The overall management, customer service and attention to detail is incredibly impressive. We would love to return :)

The Glyn Valley Hotel is a wonderful, cosy, home from home, a little off the beaten track. We loved it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. There is a nice public park with a zip-wire for the children to play in across the very quiet road. A warm and cosy bar to relax in after a day out walking or exploring. The evening meals were great and they even do a roast dinner + dog biscuits for furry companions. And the complimentary continental breakfast was an added bonus.

It was hard to find details in advance (via the Internet) of the evening menu and whether breakfast was included. Turns out it was. Bonus.

Lovely place and excellent staff who went above and beyond to make my stay fabulous

We loved everything & would highly recommend this place to anyone, whether staying for overnight or several days... Arrived and was greeted by 6 Peacocks mooching about. The stream runs through the beer garden at the back. The manager Clive was so helpful when we arrived, we had been on the road 5-6 hrs and the food time had stopped but he put on chips for us ( that is all we asked for). We came down to breakfast and were greeted by a lovely lady that assisted us with the variety of continental food & the coffee machine.....overall wonderful stay with bright staff and clean accommodation.

The manager was very helpful, very approachable and hardworking...... it seemed to be a one person show. The breakfast was an absolute bonus and one of the best we've had in years.

As a 71 and 77 year old starting a 3 week self catering holiday and having a dog being on the top floor was not ideal. My 77 year old poor husband had more than ½ a dozen trips up and down stairs trying to maneuver crates of food, dog essentials, clothes etc through heavily sprung fire doors, narrow twisting stairs and corridors. I guess we got what we paid for but not sure if it was explained in the booking system that the room was on the top floor.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely and cosy hotel. The room is pretty, with a comfortable bed. We loved it that you can enter the room from the street and we also parked the car at the entrance to the room, very convenient. The breakfast is continental buffet, I especially liked the pastries and berries that you could add to muesli. Food for dinner at the restaurant was really good too. And last but not least, the professional and helpful attitude of the receptionist made us feel we are in a luxury 5 star hotel :) Definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

The walls are on the thin side so you can hear the neighbours and their TV.

Staff were really helpful. Although we had been allocated a room on the 2nd floor, due to my bad knees and lack of bookings, they gave us a ground floor room where we were able to park directly outside. There was a walk In shower.

To be fair, we had been given a different room to the one originally allocated, but although it was generally clean, there was a lot of dust on the full length mirror and on the bedside lampshades. Nothing to spoil our stay, we would stay again.

We've stayed before and like the location which is convenient for local attractions and there is plenty of parking. It's pet friendly with lovely staff, a continental breakfast included and good, well-priced evening meals.

When we stayed the last time, we had a room opening onto the car park which was pefect for our dogs. Booking.com did not pass on our request for this room, and we ended up on the top floor which was very inconvenient.

The breakfast was excellent. It was a very peaceful village with beautiful places to visit. Very easily to go to neighbouring villages, I would be coming back again next year.
